BB Curve :: New SIM Card = Huge Email Headache?

Sep 20, 2012

A couple days ago the sim card in my phone went bad. The friendly folks at my phone company replaced it with a new one free of charge (love that) while laughing that my old card hadn't even had 3G on it. It's nice to have the phone working again but I've got a problem I can't seem to solve. Phone company said I had to contact BlackBerry, but I can't even figure out who I should be talking to on the endless menu options the voicemail has. When they replaced the SIM card the phone forgot the password for that email account...and since I hadn't had to remember it even once over the years I've NO idea what it was. I tried all my logical usual ones to no avail. Is there somewhere I can go to reset the password? Everything I've found just has options for adding the email to the phone and require me to already have the password. I'm at a loss and desperately need access to that email. how to either recover or reset the password?

Jan 22, 2015

One standard photo is about 5.8MB. pics are too big for casual emailing around and I've found no Droid way to reduce size. I have been using a free program called "send reduced" when I need to email a picture. I transfer pics to my computer using Google Drive when I want to save them. Was wondering how others are handling these huge files?

The phone and messaging work fine but if I try and send an Email it says "No message services configured. You will be redirected to setup wizzardto set up your Email account" then it says "No message services configured, you will only be able to save to draft".But if a I swap averything back to my old phone it all works fine - no problem. What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to get my Emails working on the new phone Thanks in advance.

Nokia Nseries :: Social Widget Is Now Huge?

Feb 22, 2012

Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates. If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going. There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. Nokia, you're winding me up.

IPhone :: Install IOS 5.1 Through The 4s Cause Huge Data Usage?

May 14, 2012

I just recently updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1 through the notification of the phone. I didn't use the iTune to update the iOS which I was use to. And then the iPhone shutdown and process the update process. I was doing this in my home with a stable Wi-Fi access. But the day after, I was received a notice about huge data usage of 218M. The only thing I can figure out is the iOS update. Is this true? If the phone update will cause such a huge data usage I will never use this this utility as my total data is only 300M per month. It should at least give a warning before launch the process or do this under the wifi environment.

Xperia Mini/pro :: Data Usage Increasing By Huge Amounts

May 19, 2012

I recently got the Xperia Mini Pro and last week, I noticed my data usage (according to Data Monitor) had gone up from 23mb to 60mb while I wasn't even using the phone. It happened again this week, going from 70mbish to 100mb. I phoned my t-mobile who told me my allowance is actually 250mb (Thank God!) but they don't know the reason why my data usage is jumping up like that. So they reffered me to Sony Mobile's support team who I haven't phoned yet.since I wanted to try the forums.

I have background traffic turned off and everytime I lock my phone, Data traffic is turned off by Juice Defender...so I don't get how this is happening? Could there be an application using the internet at such huge amounts? (all I use is Whatsapp)Or is Data Monitor not accurate?
