I'm going to France in a week, and just to make sure I don't run up a huge T-Mobile phone bill, what connections etc. shall i disable before I go? I don't want any roaming charges or whatever.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.

I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. View 14 Replies View RelatedMy N97 has US AT&T 3g radio frequencies. I have a T-mobile sim card with unlimited data and an AT&T card with very limited data.With an AT&T sim card the N97 talks to the AT&T USA towers at "3.5G" speeds no problem. Beauty!But when I put my T-mobile sim card in it it will only connect to T-mobile towers. It sees that there is a T-mobile tower and an ATT tower no problem but it will only talk to the tmo tower.
If there is no T-mo tower it will connect to the ATT tower but it will not be at 3G just edge.I have tried to enter the apn settings manually but i am tripping up somewhere.Called T-mo and tier 3 tech support said that she could see no reason why it should not work. I pressed to find out if T-mo provisioned their sims to work at 3G soeeds ONLY on t-mo towers but she said that that was not the case.
N97 user manual mentions apn alterations being contingent on a PIN2 number coming off the sim card, but that did not sound tright to t-mo support.
Am i missing a very obvious thing like a switch called "turn on data roaming" ? My Nexus1 has that.
I downloaded the FMMS app and try to send mms but it keeps giving me an error for APN location. the only apn location available is tmobile internet and below there is a mmsc: http://... I also am not sure what goes in there as an address.and what would be the resize 120? 200? tell me that this app actually works?

Spoken to T-mobile and they sent me the settings as they should be. I have saved them and tried again. But picture of video parts of messages aren't going through, only the text parts arrive. I can go to the phone settings and see the data being sent, and it is always the correct amount. But the multimedia bits don't get there. Yet I can send them to myself. The people I send to, can send and receive multimedia just fine to other people. Could someone on T-mobile post all their settings please?

- 250 anytime minutes
- unlimited calling/text to any 5 numbers nationally
- free weekends/evenings after 5pm
- 500mb data
- voicemail
- call display
- 30 texts per month
I'm wondering a) if this sounds reasonable, and b) how much other iPhone users are paying for their plans.
So got the Tmobile 810. Have been using unlocked Nokia phones (Symbian) till now and use JoikuSpot to share internet on as needed basis. Not very often, but good to know it is there when needed.
Now when select Internet Sharing to ON, asks if want to activate that feature in my plan. Is there anyway to bypass this or to get another app to do this .. like JoikuSpot ?
My daughters boyfriend gave her his old Blackberry Curve 8900, after he got a newer blackberry on his contract. My daughter just used her old sim from her old tmobile phone. I pay £15 per month for her to have 600 minutes and unlimited texts.But since using her sim in the BB, there have been strange charges appearing on her statement. She doesn't use any apps on there, and hasn't seen anything happening on the phone so we're at a loss as to what these charges are.They are only a few pence, but last month it came to over £7 and this month in just 3 days the total is already £2.She popped into our local tmobile store and was told that BB's are not supposed to be used without a data package, whatever that's supposed to mean.Tmobile do a booster for unlimited internet for just under £5 but I can't really afford to be paying that every month, i'd just rather get rid of these extra charges all together. I missed the preorder/reservation time because my bill was overdue. I tried waiting in line at the Apple store by me today but gave up because I had to go to work. I'm leaving for vacation on Saturday (and I'm sure most stores will be out of stock soon anway) and won't be returning until July 5th.
Now my question is, I know I can get my phone by July 14th if I order online now, but what would you say the likelihood is of me being able to go to the store on July 5th and be able to get one? Do you think stores will have received additional inventory by then?
What credit care info do I need to have? Does it have to match the credit card that pays the monthly bill?

The friendly folks at my phone company replaced it with a new one free of charge (love that) while laughing that my old card hadn't even had 3G on it. It's nice to have the phone working again but I've got a problem I can't seem to solve. Phone company said I had to contact BlackBerry, but I can't even figure out who I should be talking to on the endless menu options the voicemail has. When they replaced the SIM card the phone forgot the password for that email account...and since I hadn't had to remember it even once over the years I've NO idea what it was. I tried all my logical usual ones to no avail. Is there somewhere I can go to reset the password? Everything I've found just has options for adding the email to the phone and require me to already have the password. I'm at a loss and desperately need access to that email. how to either recover or reset the password?
