My lumia 900 is sending 300-500+ MB /day of data. I am not streaming music or video..The phone is transmitting data on its own. I have ATT in the US. I do not have any online backup (skydrive). I have blown through my data plan in just under 4 days. ATT is not able to determine what is causing this.

I am on Wi-Fi most of the time or have data turned off- I only use mobile data occasionally at work. However, the data settings are saying I only used 0.38 gb for the same time period.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got the Xperia Mini Pro and last week, I noticed my data usage (according to Data Monitor) had gone up from 23mb to 60mb while I wasn't even using the phone. It happened again this week, going from 70mbish to 100mb. I phoned my t-mobile who told me my allowance is actually 250mb (Thank God!) but they don't know the reason why my data usage is jumping up like that. So they reffered me to Sony Mobile's support team who I haven't phoned yet.since I wanted to try the forums.
I have background traffic turned off and everytime I lock my phone, Data traffic is turned off by Juice Defender...so I don't get how this is happening? Could there be an application using the internet at such huge amounts? (all I use is Whatsapp)Or is Data Monitor not accurate?

I've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.

View 11 Replies View RelatedHave been using my lumia 900 for a month. I noticed that there is a white/hissing noise in the background from the phone when listening to music using headphones. It starts right before the music starts to play and stops some seconds after pausing music. There is also a click sound in between songs. I can definitely confirm this is not from music files. If I plug headphones in and unlock the phone when not playing any music, I can hear the white background noise for a few seconds before it goes off. I've seen several posts reporting on the same issue from both lumia 800 and 900 (search white noise in the forum). It is very annoying! In addition, the volume buttons on my lumia 900 don't always work when screen is off, which has also been seen by many users. I'd say listening to music from headphones using lumia 900 is a bad experience due to these issues. I like lumia's design and overall it is a great phone. But these bugs disappoint me a lot.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi just noticed that whenever i text and the background is white, the screen usually blinks a little but noticeable,, for example here i will text this is white background i will see from here that my screen is blinking while im texting specially when i'll touch the space bar.. Uhmm its not a major problem but i found it somewht annoying on my part because my friend has a nokia lumia 610 and i already tried what ive tried on my nokia lumia 900 and it seems that his phone has no problem regarding with the littleness blinking screen.. Hmmm it is only 6days old phone.,Fyi guys ive tried to adjust the brightness to low,medium and high. And switch to white screen background would i just reset the phone?? It appears that whenever u get to a webpage (or application) that contains a white background and black text (which is usually the case in most pages!) and u look closely u can notice some moire effects that appears as horizontal white lines next to the text and these lines follows the text even when scrolling!! This is specially notable when u zoom in on a text or place the handset in landscape mode. Also the same moire effect appears but with vertical lines shifting between red and white as u zoom in and out of a picture with a white background! And No I don't have any screen protector (that in some cases can cause this effect) and Yes this is clearly a display issue because of these lines are being followed by my scrolling and not on a specific area on the display!

He sends a SMS to you from phone C (the phone he always forgets to his car or somewhere else).The message comes to your Lumia phone to the same conversation-line as all the other previous messages from him. You can't actually see from witch phone it came. You answer to it and he never responds, because you mistakenly sent it to the phone in a glove compartment.

I'm also noticing some seriously delay in some incoming SMS's (up to 20 minutes). It's 2012 and it's Nokia we are talking about... How can they possibly release a phone that struggles with the most basic of mobile phone tasks? I get that Nokia didn't receive WP8 until a few weeks before the device was released, but, I feel like I'm using a phone built with alpha/beta code.
View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter two or three charges my new (up to date) Lumia 900 stops sending/receiving text messages. The map app also appears black at every zoom level. However LTE signal is fine, I can receive phone calls, and use data to search for near-by restaraunts and overlay results over the black tileless map.There is no visible indication that the phone is no longer sending/receiving txt messages.. other than an angry girlfriend.Once in a while I open up the map app to see if its loading tiles. If not, I reboot the phone and everything returns to normal for a few days, and then problem comes back. It has been this way since I bought the phone three weeks ago.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust noticed that whenever the phone wants to make a tone through the speaker, it will have a lot of background noise along with that sound. That background noise will prolong for a few second after finishing the tone it's supposed to make, then goes back to being silent.
For example, if I start typing on my keyboard, the phone obviously will play the key sound. The background noise will start but then will go back silent a few second after I finish typing.
When I record a video and play it back I can hear a loud whirring noise in the background. It happens regardless if the camera is moving or not when the video was taken and is quite an annoying sound.

Battery drops at the rate 12% per hour, when phone is connected to WIFI, GPS off, cell data off, and phone is on standby mode.
Often times the drain rate is 25% per hour, when cell data 3G on GPS ON and moderate usage of internet explorer.
My phone runs WP8.1 CYAN DEV PREVIEW. All background tasks have been disabled already. What to do to improve battery.
