I use about 1.5 gbs of mobile data a month, but since updating to Lollipop, I have used 2 gb in four days (according to My Data Manager), with the majority being used by the OS system. I am on Wi-Fi most of the time or have data turned off- I only use mobile data occasionally at work. However, the data settings are saying I only used 0.38 gb for the same time period.
View 2 RepliesI recently got the Xperia Mini Pro and last week, I noticed my data usage (according to Data Monitor) had gone up from 23mb to 60mb while I wasn't even using the phone. It happened again this week, going from 70mbish to 100mb. I phoned my t-mobile who told me my allowance is actually 250mb (Thank God!) but they don't know the reason why my data usage is jumping up like that. So they reffered me to Sony Mobile's support team who I haven't phoned yet.since I wanted to try the forums.
I have background traffic turned off and everytime I lock my phone, Data traffic is turned off by Juice Defender...so I don't get how this is happening? Could there be an application using the internet at such huge amounts? (all I use is Whatsapp)Or is Data Monitor not accurate?
My lumia 900 is sending 300-500+ MB /day of data. I am not streaming music or video..The phone is transmitting data on its own. I have ATT in the US. I do not have any online backup (skydrive). I have blown through my data plan in just under 4 days. ATT is not able to determine what is causing this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1 through the notification of the phone. I didn't use the iTune to update the iOS which I was use to. And then the iPhone shutdown and process the update process. I was doing this in my home with a stable Wi-Fi access. But the day after, I was received a notice about huge data usage of 218M. The only thing I can figure out is the iOS update. Is this true? If the phone update will cause such a huge data usage I will never use this this utility as my total data is only 300M per month. It should at least give a warning before launch the process or do this under the wifi environment.

1. I have moved a lot of programs to the SD card- do I need to move them back to Device Memory?
2. If I sign in with my Google account after the Factory Reset after the OS upgrade, will all the apps automatically be restored/installed?
3. I have the Google backup set automatically and restore automatically- will the data and settings be restored as the apps are restored once I log into my Google account?
4. What about all my internet email accounts (Comcast, GMail, etc.)- will they automatically be restored for the messages that are on the S5 and automatically connected to the accounts or do I have to reset these up again?
5. The S5 is also my work email, which is an Exchange Server- will the Factory Reset mean that my IT dept. needs to reestablish the connection between the S5 and the Exchange Server or will that happen automatically (if emails are part of the automatic restore?)
6. I have Keis 3 installed on my computer- should I use this as a backup and restore instead of relying on the automatic Google backup and restore?
I'm running the latest software and the gap is annoying me, my Xperia Z3+ icons are perfect...

*Note (I'm using GLOBE sim card I usually use the mobile data when out side range of a WiFi, It works before after I upgraded it to Lollipop.)
On my z2 mobile data doesn't work at all. I've update to lollipop yesterday and since then nothing. Tried factory reset, repair wit pcc, get internet setting from settings-more-internet connection, simply nothing.

I purchased the Moto X second edition unlocked pure version,from Motorola web site.For a month I was able to run on KitKat without any issues. After I have upgraded to Lollipop (5.0) I am seeing an exclamation point next to the data icon. Sometimes it takes a minute sometimes maybe 5 minutes to be able to use my data plan and access the internet!
There were situations when I could not even make a call. When switching to WIFi mode I am able to use the phone to full capability. It is just when I am trying to use my carrier's network when I have a problem. It is not related to the amount of data available, it reacts the same when I am at 100mba or 4 Gba.
I upgraded to lollipop today, all fine except my mobile data doesn't work.Tried turning off and on, switching to airplane mode and back, and changing mobile operator and back, still not working.

How is the D4 with loading and opening the gallery with large amounts of pictures in it? I have several folders of pictures with 100 -200 pictures on average and I am interest in how quickly the D4 can work with them. How quickly it handles pictures is important to me as I use this feature a lot for conventions and so on.

I had a few spots on the battery graph where it was asleep but that lasted no more than 10 mins. This is just draining my battery. I found snapchat had recieved 15 gb of background data in the past 3 weeks so i turned on 'limit background usage'. I did that last night and the wakelock issue was temporarily resolved. Not today though!

It never searched for GPS with Kit Kat but since I have updated to lollipop, it seems to loose the GPS and has to search for it. It quickly finds it again and the notification goes away.

If i hit the lock button again it opens straight into the messages.If i lock again the samething happens. If i hut the home button it opens straight into messages again. Only way to get it to lock is to exit the app to home screen.

Each time I switch on I get a reminder that the update needs installing which I ignore. I would like to try and find the update and delete it from the phone, but I don't know where it is located or what it is called. I have disabled all the update options so if I can get rid of this file, no more reminders that it needs to be installed.
