BB Curve :: Validating Email After Changing SIM Card?

Aug 23, 2011

I recently changed my sim card and when I went to set up my email accounts they were already listed and just needed to be validated. When I try validating it a notice says: "Sorry, unable to continue your session, log in again".I am from South Africa and on the MTN network also I was changing from a MTN prepaid sim to a contract one. I've swapped sims like this before and have never had such a problem until now.

BB Curve 8500 :: 8520 Email Not Working After Changing From Pearl To Curve

Jun 9, 2010

I have a Curve 8520 from TMobile (US).I also had a Pearl 8100 from Fido (Canada).I got the Curve unlocked and want to use it on the Fido network instead of the Pearl. I seem to have gotten everything working on the Curve, except for the email.I had the same email accounts (gmail, hotmail) set up on both phones, but for some reason now that I've switched over to the Curve on the Fido network, I can't send or receive email.I've checked all my settings, and they seem right.I can access the web, my Wi-Fi is set up, and I can send & receive texts. Anyone have any ideas about this email problem? Also, I can't remember my account username for the BB website to access my account online to change the email. When I ask to send my password, it says it has been sent to my BB, but of course I can't receive email, so I'm not getting it.

BB Curve :: Changing User Name On Email Account?

Sep 17, 2012

My ISP has moved my email account to an imap server. The email now has a different username and password, although still the same email address. the emails are now not coming through to my blackberry curve 9300. I've tried to change the user name (in settings, email, login info) but it won't let me edit the field. Should i delete the whole account and start again? They are coming through on my 02email address but that's not very useful to me.

BB Software :: BIS Validating/invalidating Gmail

Nov 13, 2010

I've got a number of email accounts that use gmail to host. I've been trying to set these up through BIS, but every time they validate, five minutes later I get a message saying that the account has been invalidated and I must re-validate. I do so and the email setup program says that the email address has been validated and then five minutes later. I have no problems setting up email not located on gmail's servers. All my accounts were set on IMAP a long time ago because I access my email from multiple machines. I searched the net and found a few instances of a similar problem with gmail, but with no resolution.

Eseries / Communicators :: Changing The Sim Card E71

Oct 19, 2011

Last year I bought an E71 as part of a 24 month contract. Recently, my sister and I swapped phones and kept our respective sim cards (which are on the same network provider), my former phone accepts the sim card and she is able to send and recieve texts, and phone calls. The problem being that when she tries to make calls (from my former phone) there sometimes is no dial tone. I was told that the phone had saved data from my sim card and needed to be reformatted, is this the case?

Xperia PLAY :: Changing The SD Card Out Correctly

Jun 22, 2011

I recently changed the micro sd card out to a 32gb to enable a more serious approach to gaming etc. However, since doing that I have not been able to get any of the gameloft games to download and install correctly. The existing game that I had previously will operate when I put in the older (Smaller) SD card. Photos and music transferred over, but not with the correct file path. Therefore they con not be viewed. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to work it out, previous discussion threads have not correctly outlined the procedure. Having the expandable memory is designed to make this phone more marketable. Not telling people how to do it makes the phone significantly less marketable.

BB Curve :: New SIM Card = Huge Email Headache?

Sep 20, 2012

A couple days ago the sim card in my phone went bad. The friendly folks at my phone company replaced it with a new one free of charge (love that) while laughing that my old card hadn't even had 3G on it. It's nice to have the phone working again but I've got a problem I can't seem to solve. Phone company said I had to contact BlackBerry, but I can't even figure out who I should be talking to on the endless menu options the voicemail has. When they replaced the SIM card the phone forgot the password for that email account...and since I hadn't had to remember it even once over the years I've NO idea what it was. I tried all my logical usual ones to no avail. Is there somewhere I can go to reset the password? Everything I've found just has options for adding the email to the phone and require me to already have the password. I'm at a loss and desperately need access to that email. how to either recover or reset the password?
