Is it possible to change the location of the downloaded applications from the phone memory to the memory card? I was told that it goes directly to the phone memory,with other phones you can choose the location or you can transfer the files' location.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

Today I tried moving instagram and fb messenger to the sd card from phone memory and when I tried opening those apps they froze where I had to remove the battery . Now I have a big annoying problem, I can't install apps on my SD card neither on phone memory whatever I try. I have already done a reset and also formatted the SD card. Still nothing good. I've been restarting my phone all over and over but the app is still there installing but not actually installing and when my screen times out there's no other way to start the phone than restarting it. I've been using the Xperia z2 for a couple of years now and I'm very happy with it. However, I recently bought a new cover for my phone (with a see-threw screen on top) and figured out that I'm not able to move the clock in my lock screen. This little see-threw screen is more annoying now than useful, because it only shows me half of the clock.
Is there any way to move the clock a little up at the lock screen? I'm using Android 5.1.1 and I no longer have the feature of widgets in my lock screen. So it seems.
I recently got a new E63 phone & am struggling to get my contacts right. The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.
Does anyone know how to change the default storage to the external Memory card when downloading apps from the market place for th SE x10min pro?So far I've downloaded few apps and they all get downloaded to the phone memory. View 9 Replies View Relatedi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?
