Jun 8, 2012
i reset my phone and now all the applications are gone, but the memory card still has everything. Like the data and all. The application are gone from the menu. Is there any way i can bring 'em back?
After installing many apps my phone now says that its low on memory. but i do have 1.75 GB available space on my memory card. How can I install the Apps on memory card instead of phone memory?
I have installed several apps, and now I'm getting a message "phone memory is almost full".How do I move apps to the SD card instead of them using the phone memory?
Does anyone know how to change the default storage to the external Memory card when downloading apps from the market place for th SE x10min pro?So far I've downloaded few apps and they all get downloaded to the phone memory. So it's nearly full but the SD card still has 1.8GB. If there isn't a default option, does anyone know how to get around the issue?
I need to purchase a larger capacity SD card.I want to keep all the contents on my installed SD card and transfer to the larger card.how do I go about this process.
Since last 4-5 days, I am seeing that whenever I connect my phone to my laptop (using usb), the phone restart and during this time I will have access to memory card for few seconds (30 sec), after that the card gets unmounted (from PC) and I will see a warning symbol (yellow triangle) on phone's notification bar. So I am unable to copy data to and from my phone. All this trouble started since I upgraded to 2.1 Note: I have checked the memory card by putting it to another phone and it works fine.
I have trouble with the phone recognizing my memory card - the card is SanDisk 16GB, class 10. I've lost the card I got with the phone, so I got this one. At first, it would say "Insert card", like it wasn't there, but the phone knew when I would remove it. A few times I'd get "Card damaged" message, the other times "Card is empty or not supported filesystem". 2 times I managed to get to work, but trying to take a picture crashed the camera app. I've tried formatting it several times. Right now, it's not reading the card at all. I can't check the card with my PC, since I don't have a card reader. It's getting really annoying, since I can't use the phone for almost anything. I've updated my phone to the latest software, but still nothing.
it does not recognize that i have a memory card so it has deleted all my photos and music and things but i can't even take a photo now as it says to insert a memory card but i have one!
Bought my phone recently. Still trying to sort some issues. I too have the same symbol and if you drag the top nootification browser, it keeps on about inserting an sd card. Great! didn't get one with the phone but......there is a 2gb SD adapter that you should have had with the phone. Says it's standard but...ok...how do you use it? You may have one in the box too. I haven't a clue though used to using flash drives on my computer. This has me flummoxed. I put the adapter in the USB on home computer, recognises it, but it appears nowhere on the PC. I believe you still have to get a separate micro SD card to utilise the adapter!!! So.......why says its a 2gb when itt's clearly not?? Probably not helpful but you should have an adapter but you will still need a proper SD card as there is not one supplied. Stupid really as you can't get updates on it unless you have an SD Card and its greater capacity. Unfortunately, it's the policy of these companies to give you something...and then force you to buy essential extra's to utilise the potential of the phone! Cynical or what!
I updated to the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich but now when I add files from PC to memory card the phone does not update the list of songs or albums of photos or something else, you can see them with the file manager but are not added automatically to the file library like older version, please help me.
I recently bought an Xperia Mini Pro. I have one issue with this phone...The memory card that comes with the phone is almost three-quarter filled.....so I am not able to transfer most of my songs and pictures to it...I am thinking of buying a new micro sdhc card....But I have some confusion...Should I go for a class 6 or a class 10? And what about transferring the files from my old card to the new one?? I have enough internal memory left....so I can easily transfer the apps present in my memory card to the internal storage...
I have bought a new mobile Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini pro Sk17i and using a 4GB Micro SD Transcend card in it. All goes fine. But sometimes when I open the camera it shows an error "Memory card is write protected. Cannot edit files". The same error I get when I try to open the galler or media player. But I use a third party File manager App which shows and allow me to open the contents in the Micro SD card except image and music, video files. Other files such as .pdf, .html open in Adobe reader, HTML viewer or browser without any issue. Also this error does not appear after I restart the mobile. For some 5 - 6 usage of camera this error again appears. And the card is not damaged since I checked with connecting to the Laptop thorugh USB mode (both Mass storage and Media transfer mode) also through a card reader, everything works fine.
I am facing a great difficulty in sliding the micro SD card into the slot. The memory card just wont get fully inserted, only about 1/4 of it is able to get into the slot.
I have had some problems with memory cards, but I am now left with about 20 blue squares with a picture of a memory card in the corner, but it won't let me delete them... How I can get rid?
I got a new memory card 16GB that just keeps restarting the phone every minute or two. I formated it already. Repaired the software on PC companion while the memory card is mounted (Hence phone doesn't restart when it's mounted by the PC). Still no Joy with it. If I use the original 2GB one it does work no problem. Tried the memory card in a different phone and it works straight away.
I just got my sony ecrisson x10 mini today and everything works apart from the sd memory card, its saying its blank or has unsupported filesystem, is this a common error with this type of phone, or is the phone faulty as it works in my partners htc wildfire.
i was receiving MMS with photo. anybody can tell me how to save the photo from messeging to phone memory card?? The picture in messeging can be only used for wallpaper n contact picture only.
I just bought a xperia x10 mini pro in August. A week later I insert a 8gb memory card the cellphone showed me a message: Memory card SD damaged. Or: Verifying mistakes in memory. It didn't showed me my music and photos and the cell phone asked me to format the card. I formatted it and it starts to work ok but after 2 or 3 days appears the same problem. Additionally the cellphones sometimes restart itself, even without I'm not using it. The cellphone came with Android 1.6 and I updated to 2.1.
If you have a Defect Tracking System, I can seriously take up the job of Ad-Hoc tester. The first time I tried the Backup, I was connected to PC companion ( I was going to perform a repair, I wanted to back up first)Turns out that Backup doesn't see the memory card if the phone is connected through USB.
1- It should at least improve the error message and indicate that Backup operation can't be performed while connected via USB.
2- Why can't it perform the backup while connected via USB in the first place? In fact it would be great to allow the back up to store the data in a directory in the PC via PC COMPANION.
My internal/phone memory in my x10 mini seems to be going down even though my sd card holds all my stuff. After app back up I then reinstall form sd card and the internal mem goes down, I am on about 44mb at the moment. I thought it would run from the sd card so the internal memory would not be effected as the other day a message said on my phone that memory was getting low! I have over 5gb spare.
I just bought my phone few days ago and I noticed that whenever I download and Install an app it install and download it on my phone memory so I was wondering is there any way to download them to memory card and Install them on memory card Instead or even move them from phone memory to my memory card?
I'm using Android 2.1 for Xperia X8.Everytime I install an app from the Official Android Market or from Applanet, it goes to the phone memory which is easy to fill up, unlike my sd card which has a lot of free space.I would like to install the apps in the sd card, if that's possible.
How can I download my application to my SD card? Cuz when I download application from android market, it always move to phone space, then my memory card still got many space. Now my phone space not enough already
I found a note (probably on xda developers, I'm not sure) that you can put 64 GB Micro SD inside Xperia Mini, but the phone will (among others) run VERY SLOWLY.
I don't want to try 64 GB, but I thought about 32 GB class 10 card (now I am using 16 GB, class 10). Should I expect any slowdown of my phone?
i have my xperia neo v upgraded with ics 4.0.4. i see lot of apps in the phone memory like ( office suite, astro file manager, Internet etc., ). i tried to move these apps to the memory card, but the option "move to sd card" is disabled for these apps. since the phone memory of xperia neo v is less, i want to remove these apps from the phone memory or want to move these apps completely to the sd card.
Is it possible to change the location of the downloaded applications from the phone memory to the memory card? I was told that it goes directly to the phone memory, with other phones you can choose the location or you can transfer the files' location.
