I have an unlocked 9900 TMobile (US Version)
First of all, I don't have a BIS plan on my Tmobile but I want to browse using wifi.
I can connect to wifi, but I cannot browse, email or bbm with wifi connected. Also, I don't know where to configure hotspot on the 9900.
I have many problems by every next day I have new BB Bold9900. While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. I simply cannot connect to Internet although I already am connected, and my phone even shows full signal, network name, etc. Is there any solution which will make it possible to comfortably use BB????

Got a bit of an issue here which even my Carrier is stumped - they're currently suggesting replacing my handset which may resolve the issue but seems a bit extremem to me.Basically, the device was functioning fine up until yesterday when I received a Service Update which I duly carried out (read, delete text, reboot). After that, internet browsing ability ceased. Email however continues albeit much much slower.If I connect on wifi however, I am able to browse although images in aps like Facebook won't load - very strange.I spoke a couple of times with Tech. Support and we've tried resending Service Books, re-registering the Host Routing Table and full reboots. None of that worked.
My hunch is and given the inconsistent nature of of the issue is that the problem lies in the Service Books or HRT somewhere.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used my Blackberry 9900 ( Carrier : o2 UK, OPerating system: OS 7.1) to make a call and noticed it was running out of battery. I then placed it on my table only to return to find it dead. I have tried everything from connecting the phone to 4 different computers, with and without the battery, I have also used about 3 or 4 other batteries and it still wont come on or show any sign of life. The worst part is whilst researching the issue online, I noticed other people mention a light or a sign comes up but with mine there has been no light, no sign, just DEAD! I tried the App Loader method but no PC recognises the phone when connected. The phone was never dropped or wet or ever misplaced or mishandle. I have had it for just over a year and this is puzzling.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to a 9900 Bold and am experiencing problems staying connected to my wireless network at home. Basically I added the wifi profile and it connected fine then after a while it loses the connection and when I try to reconnect it says failed to authenticate against the network. I tried rebooting my wireless router (Netgear Super Hub from virgin media) and it connects again only for the same thing to happen again after 20 mins. It used to work fine with my old 9700 bold.

i don't understand and it's quite annoying why it won't work as it did before. i've even spoken to orange and sky to try and solve this problem and still nothing.
whenever i browse the web on my blackberry via the browser through wif the pages never load. it's actually quicker to disconnect from wifi and use 3g then wifi. my blackberry was working fine before why has it stopped working. this has to be fixed as it's a pain!
i've tested other wifi spots and i have the same problem so i know it's not my router. i removed the security on my router but still no luck. i've done a master reset on my blackberry and still the wifi will not work. i've even had the handset replaced and still the wifi will not work!
the blackberry connects fine to the router and its shows as connected to the router but it just refuses to load pages when wifi is on. it gives me an error message:
"unable to find the requested server"when wifi is on and i try to browse the double headed arrow icon in the top right should be on when using the wifi, but it hardly appears at all when the pages attempt to load it should be on constantly when loading pages through wifi.
i can't even see Internet videos it keeps buffering the gives me the same error message as above.
I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.

At home, even I turned the WiFi on it will only show white mark and the WiFi logo is still gray. When I try to scan for network to other areas it will ask for hotspot login. My friend can easily connect to her WiFi at home using the BB 9000

I got my Bold 9780 about 2 weeks ago and since then have been connected to Wi-Fi and have had no problem browsing the internet. Then earlier, all of a sudden, it stopped working. I am connected to my router with full signal strength and can't do anything in the browser. I just don't understand why it stopped working.. but I am still connected to Wi-Fi.

Works great with facebook, browser etc. But now, i go to my work place and insert the wifi password. It's says to me that it is connected but it still use the wap to connect the internet. (I don't have data plan). So I am charged for connecting with the browser. I go >manage connection>mobile network options> and try to turn off the date services. But when i do, i cannot connect neither with the wifi nor with the wap. Try to understand me, how can the mobile tell me that i am connected to wifi, but use the mobile network to connect the internet which is a charged service.

It just started when I was on a public network at a University. It wouldn't usually be a big deal but my house is the only place where i dont get 4G (of course).
