I have 3 email addresses setup on my Bold 9900. In the last week, I must have switched something because whenever I open the messages folder, I only see my text messages. Similarily, when I try to open any of the three email folders...the text messages folder opens. I know I am receiving emails but I cannot access the email folders. They appear but when I open them the text message folder opens.
View 1 RepliesI can see the folders and they are correctly identified when highlighted however when I click on one it opens as one of the other folders ( always the same one) with that folders contents . I can see message headings but can't open.The only way I can access new messages to these folders is via the Messages Folder which actually shows an alert when an email message arrives (the other folders dont even show the alert)My aol account seems to work fine but the Gmail and other emails dont.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone can help me with this problem please. I have recently purchased a BB-Bold 9700 and transferred my settings from my old Bold. I have to email addresses (both Gmail) registered which appear on my main screen. The push email works fine! However, whenever I send an email, I cannot see the sent mail in the individual email folders but only in the main messages folder which is very annoying and confusing. Here's what I have tried sofar:
1. I tried to go into options and mark "No" in the section indicated hide my sent messages.
2. I tried going into filter and ticking sent messages. They appear but once you press the back button they disappear again.
3. I tried going onto the BB website and I successfully downloaded the newest software update (5.0.0.4) but still it did not resolve the problem....
Do I need to wipe off the whole device? Can someone please help because I'm very confused and frustrated with this issue.....
When I goto Menu -> View Folder, I'm still able to see old email address that no longer exist on my BB or on the BIS site.
I already tried going to Options ->Device -> Advanced -> Service Book and try to look for those email addresses, but they are not there.
Ive recently changed to a bold 9700 from a curve. Im using bes and i have several folders selected for redirection, however on the bold I cant view these folders all messages are going to the same place.
When i click on view folders i can see mms sms etc but nothing email related?! Im sure its fairly easy but this is driving me up the wall
i have recently changed from an iphone to the bold 9900 - setup email accounts and sync'd with outlook on my laptop no problems.BUT i cannot get it to sync my inbox subfolders.i have tried the mapping option in the advance options for sync but it just will not allow it ??am i missing something? does it have to be on an exchange server ?

When an email comes in that is routed to a subfolder, Yahoo enboldens the subfolder as expected, howeverr the email does not show on my BB. It is unlikely that I will be opening "folders" on my BB every 30 minutes to check all of the subfolders for new email.

I used the "Switch Device" option on my BB Desktop Manager, to trasfer contacts from my work BB to the 9700. All this was a breeze. Unfortunately what this also did was transfer my work email folders (all archive folders) on to the 9700. So in the email application on the 9700, if I select "View Folder" from the menu key, I see a whole bunch of archive folders. I have no use for these folders on the 9700 but cannot find a way to delete them.Is there a way that I can delete all these redundant email archive folders from the 9700?

I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)

I upgraded last week again to the new Bold 9900 and this time the email has not come across. It is still there on the blackberry pc page to edit signatures etc., and when I select the option to 'update device' I get the error message 'unable to find device'. This situation has existed for 8-10 days. Any time I try to access my email settings to determine if they need a 'reset' I get a message that states; 'Connecting to email setting....'which continues for some time until it tells me that I do not have access to the server. I am also unable to to access facebook, linkedin and google, all because I 'cannot access the server at this time', or in the case of Google, 'The Google Search App cannot connect'.I have contacted my provider and they have reported that all is OK at this end. At first all seemed ok, the upgrade seems to have been successfully installed. However I cannot send or receive emails now. I have tried to reconcile and nothing at all happens. If I try to access my email via settings I just get a message saying "Your device has a problem connecting to the internet" and I'm offered RETRY or CANCEL I've retried loads of times without success. The phone and texting work fine but I cannot access any apps either as it just says "server can not be found"
