View 6 Repliesi have a bold 9700 on pay as you go but i have internet access as i have a sim card which allows you internet access and unlimited texts for 30 days if you top up £10 similar to a solo rolling contract does this mean i cant use bbm?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had problems with my blackberry bold 9700 so I sent it way to get fixed & 02 said it could not be repaired and sent me a new one. However my new blackberry wont send texts, allow me to make calls or use the internet.

Please check your information and try again."Now, I'm not sure what my Mailbox name is.I was told to log in on my computer's browser to my work email via Outlook Web Access and put the cursor over the inbox to read the name on the bottom of the screen.This is all it reads: "https://webmail.(companyname).com/owa/#. What do I use for the mailbox name?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few post that sort-of answer my question, but none seem exactly right. I have a Bold 9700 and use a BIS to retrieve my personal email from my ISP's POP server. I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)
An employees phone recently took a few spills and was upgraded by corporate. I backed up his old AT&T Curve 8310 before I rolled his number over to his new Verizon Bold 8650 yesterday.Everything was working properly, but due to time constraints I didn't get a chance to restore his contacts/info over to this new phone until this morning and this I think is where I created a problem. After I did a restore on the new Bold, the ability to send/recieve emails as well as text messages stopped (of course I don't hear about this until he's left the office and is off to the airport).  The phone will still send/recieve calls, but email/texts (and presumably web) are a no go. His emails are currently being delivered via POP/webmail and every time he tries to send out an email or a text he gets an error on screen.When I did the restore, did the phone grab the old AT&T settings and tried to supplant them over the VZW settings?
Edit the second After an additional phone call with this employee, he was able to recieve a test message that I sent to him, but when he tried to respond, there wasn't an option for him to send the response that he had written, be it via my message, or by creating a new message.
I cant access my email at all someone told me that i have to setup my BIS account but when i try to it tell me that my account can be access via HTML and i have to do it through my blackberry but i don't know how.
And when i try to send an email it tells me that no message service configured
I have my yahoo email set up and it tell me that an icon has been send to my home screen but nothing has

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have used Blackberry for about 5 years now and upgraged 3-4 times. Each time my Blackberry email has transferred across into the automatice email set up. I upgraded last week again to the new Bold 9900 and this time the email has not come across. It is still there on the blackberry pc page to edit signatures etc., and when I select the option to 'update device' I get the error message 'unable to find device'. I've tried everything, and contacted "Orange" who say they are also unable to access the email as the password is not being recognised?? HELP
View 1 Replies View Relatediv had my bold for a year and from i first set phone up i have not been able to go in to my email account set up menu. it does not do anything when i try and select it. its never been a problem as i only have one email address and never needed to add or edit account but know i am not receiving emails as i need to validate enail address with blackberry and cannot do this through my phone. iv tried restarts and registerng with wireless netork but nothing it works. i just cant click on the account icon .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 3 email addresses setup on my Bold 9900. In the last week, I must have switched something because whenever I open the messages folder, I only see my text messages. Similarily, when I try to open any of the three email folders...the text messages folder opens. I know I am receiving emails but I cannot access the email folders. They appear but when I open them the text message folder opens.

This situation has existed for 8-10 days. Any time I try to access my email settings to determine if they need a 'reset' I get a message that states; 'Connecting to email setting....'which continues for some time until it tells me that I do not have access to the server. I am also unable to to access facebook, linkedin and google, all because I 'cannot access the server at this time', or in the case of Google, 'The Google Search App cannot connect'.I have contacted my provider and they have reported that all is OK at this end. All I have is a 'smart phone' that is simply acting as a phone at the moment. Good for calls and contacts but nothing elseI changed my gmail account password on line from my home computer, but have not been able to change it on my blackberry. The other two email accounts have had no changes, but no email for days.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been ytrying while more than two weeks to enter my Email Accounts Manager on my BB 9700 as we usually do that is with my email adress (as user) and keyword with which I sign up on my BB ID account, but I always get the error that says that my user or my keyword is not valid and I'VE ALREADY CHECKED AND CONFIRMED THIS INFO but i still get the same error and I can't add new email accounts!!!!

I changed my password on my gmail account and cannot access email account to get my blackberry to accept it. When I click on email account under set up it just shows a black clock for a second and it disappears.

On my work blackberry I was able to easily set up both my personal AOL and hotmail accounts but I am not being given the option with my new phone. View 1 Replies View RelatedI connected my Bold9780 to my PC and I was told there was a device upgrade and that it would take some time. I set it off and my computer crashed (power cut). At first all seemed ok, the upgrade seems to have been successfully installed. However I cannot send or receive emails now. I have tried to reconcile and nothing at all happens. If I try to access my email via settings I just get a message saying "Your device has a problem connecting to the internet" and I'm offered RETRY or CANCEL I've retried loads of times without success. The phone and texting work fine but I cannot access any apps either as it just says "server can not be found"

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using Bold 9780 for a year now without a problem. Because I Changed my password for my email account (Gmail) yesterday, I needed to update it on my Bold also. But when I tried to access Email Account Management, I got a message "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I did, and they told me that the only remedy would be to clean install the operating system. As I would like to avoid this, I searched the web a bit, and found the advice to setup my email account online. I tried this, but got an error message saying that my device was not registered, although I did register it a few minutes earlier (Houst Routing Table -> Register now). I re-registered, reboothed the device - same error.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
I'm not able to access email account setup since installing the latest OS. Is there a way to revert to the earlier version?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 9300 3G and I cannot make calls or send texts. If I try to make a call, the screen comes up to make one but a message appears saying 'no service available' and it cuts out. Texts show the red square that comes up when the message is being queued to be sent, even though there is no queue and adequate signal, and then go to a red cross. I can access the internet though and navigate around it. The phone also shows full signal and recognizes the SIM card. I have tried a battery pull and updating the software.
