View 1 RepliesBB Bold 9780 is frozen for days. I downloaded an update from APP World and when I rebooted device it shows BB Logo and the loading line fills up from left to right but never changes screen. The phone is locked in this mode. Is there a manual reset pinhole? The update was for the Traveler APP upgrade free.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry 9780 Bold got really wet this afternoon because I was walking in the rain. Now when i start it, it will reboot to about 10% and than start to reboot again, and again. It's stuck in a cycle of reboots. I tried connecting my blackberry whit my pc but the pc couldn't find the blackberry. I had a brand new battery laying around so I put that in but it did nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Bold 9780. Whenever I try swtiching it on it just stays on white screen and at times few vertical lines but usually it's on white screen. All I can do is lock and unlock the device. I tried wiping off data and install new OS and updating the OS but no use. When I reinstall a new OS I hear some music. When ever I press the voice command button on left side I hear it telling 'say a command'.What is the problem and how to get my BlackBerry up and running ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt is very strange - the phone blocked and was unresponsive for some time, then I restarted it and it is stuck on the restart loading screen (the black screen with bb logo and the progress bar). If I wait 15 mins it goes to the next white screen with the bb logo but never manages to go any further even after 2 hours waiting.
I tried hard reset(battery pull), then I tried wiping it with JL cmder but it can't connect to the device because it is not loaded. Then I tried the desktop manager to update and install a new os but it just doesn't find any os although I have 2 os versions for bb 9780 installed on my pc.
I was updating my Blackberry Bold 9780 using Deskop Software when my computer went into sleep mode (forgot to change the settings). So when I woke it up, "app error 200" occurred on my bb screen and I had to reset it and stop the update. Now it won't turn on. I tried the battery pull but nothing changed. The progress bar on the welcome screen goes almost until its end and stops, after some time the same error screen appears.

I have a 3GS running 3.1.2 and BB 05.11.07. I believe my phone is stuck in recovery mode. It's black and has the Apple logo on it. Is there a way I can fix this issue without restoring the phone? I don't want to install 3.1.3

And if I change the format of the date that I want in the settings, it does not change. Anybody experience this and know how to fix it?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm a newbie trying to download the flashlight app: [URL]. I keep getting stuck at the point where I'm being asked to download the latest version of appworld....then it takes forever and then what's downloaded has no name...just a version number. Last night is just sat there "downloading" - I left it overnight and it was still "downloading" in the morning!
My os version is v5.0.0.351
I have an icon in my notifications bar which looks like a tiny front flashlight icon with a 1 next to it (in the same way I have the envelop to alert me of messages received or the missed call alert). When I click on the bar it says I have no new notifications but I can't get rid of the icon or the number 1 and I don't know what it refers to.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI discovered that when I click Media/Expore only the Device file folder displays. The Media file is gone. My camera had 400+ photos on it, and now it says only 16 pictures available, with 0 items in the Camera Pictures. Not only that, the flash is continually lit, and the device gets quite warm, and the battery runs low quickly. I had not recently done a back up, but when I did, it indicated that there were no photos to back up! There is no SD card installed, never had one. I have pulled the battery multiple times, even over night, and nothing is fixed. The camera was working the night before, and when I went to look at the pics the following morning, the flash light was on, and the file and all photos were gone!

I noted that under contacts, there are email, phone, facebook entries. How can I configure the contacts to only display phone contacts?
Upgraded BBM and now phone is frozen. Tried reboot. Tried batter remove and reinsert, but the white bar loads for rebooting to about 3/4s then stops.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9900 that is only a week old.The BB works perfectly, that is until someone calls me.I can answer the phone, hear and speak with the person on the other end - no issues. I can use BBM, texting etc, no issues. The problem occurs when I try to hang up after someone calls me. The phone freezes.I can press the hang up button, but it does not return to the main screen. It freezes at the caller ID screen and I have to yank the battery out of it to get back to the main screen that has all the icons on it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my Bold 9700 stopped working last night. It scrolled but would not register being pressed. Followign advice elsewhere on this site, I downloaded the desktop manager and backed up the device, then installed a new operating system (version 6).
Now nothing on the BB is working. It is stuck on the terms and conditions screen that starts "This handheld device includes software that it proprietary and confidential to Research In Motion Limited. . ." I can see there is a blue arrow at the bottom, implying I need to scroll down and accept the terms and conditions, but as none of the keyboard is responding, I can't do this.
Today, I signed up for Blackberry Email Service with T-Mobile. I got a message that an update was available, so I downloaded and installed it. However, when the Blackberry rebooted after the installation, (which seemed to take much longer than normal), the screen reads "Blackberry Platform 6.6.0.195" followed by a listing of all of the programs and apps on the Blackberry. There's also an error message that reads, "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.Null Pointer Exception". When I click "OK" there is another message reading, "Uncaught Exception:ApplicationRegistry.wait For(0xbfca09409ffe99e5) timeout. Then I get another reading, "Uncaught Exception:java.lang.Error" Every application on the list seems to have an error, and nothing will open. But I can't even shut the phone off. I have tried all of the four different reboot methods, but nothing seems to work.
I am wondering if I were to sync the Blackberry with the Blackberry Desktop Manager on my lpatop if it would reset the OS to the way it was before the update.
I tried to upgrade the software on my 9900.It downloaded well. Once it started installing it, the 9900 froze at 3% backing up social feeds. It has been like this for hours. I have no use of my phone. how to unfreeze it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
I've been using my BB Bold 9700 for a long time now...have not had a single problem with it. Yesterday desktop manager suggested i upgrade from OS5 to 6...since i did this my phone refuses to start up, it goes no further than the blackberry loading screen. i suppose i need to downgrade back to OS5, but my phone wont even connect to my computer. tried hard booting, soft booting and resetting device, as well as using the "alt+shift+delete" and even double delete shortcut.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't close PDF to go on my Bold 9930. I can shut the screen with the end button. Selecting choose with the menu or go back does nothing. Every time I choose the Documents to Go icon, I get a blank frozen PDF to go screen. If I click a PDF file, I get an error screen that says I have to close a dialog box that is still open. This is the Documents to Go that came with the 9930.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to update the OS on my BB Bold 9700, as suggested by the BB Deskyop Sofware. The update started and seemed to be progressing but about 3/4 of the way through it is frozen at "Loading module"net_rim_speech_data_en_US.cod".
What should I do? The system warns "do not disconnect your device or stop this process as it could make your device unusable"
Later: I solved this problem by disconnecting the phone from the PC and downloading the OS6 package from the Blackberry.com/Downloads site, re-installing the Blackberry Deskop Sofware and re-starting the update process, this time with all power saving on the PC turned off.
I have just tried to add another email account to my blackberrt but when I clock on the setup it does not move to the next screen. It is stuck, does anyone know why this maybe the case?
