I placed my sim card in the slot and still says "Searching..." took out my sim card still says "Searching...." Restored multiple times, Resetted the Phone multiple times and still "Searching..."

Jun 3, 2014A few days ago my iphone went to a activation required screen, so I activated it then after that I stopped having service. I get service everytime it goes back to the activation required screen and that doesn't let me go on any other screen, otherwise it always says it's searching in the service bar.. Sep 10, 2014My iPhone doesn't connect to my network anymore. I flew from Europe to the US a few days ago and it worked just fine in the beginning, but when I went on the subway and lost reception it didn't come back. A quick restart of the phone worked the first time. Now it happened again yesterday when I went on the subway and the reception hasn't come back since....
The Phone never asks me for the PIN if I restart the phone, even though it should and all it says is "Searching....", even if I remove the SIM it says "Searching..." instead of "No SIM".
I can still use Wifi though!Here is what I've already tried:Restarted the phone several times (both regular and the two-button way)Reset all settings
Reset network settings (twice)Switched airplane mode on/off several times (it was on for several hours over night)Â
I have tried a different sim card of a different carrier, so it's definitely the Phone. I really want to avoid to delete everything.
