Just updated my Iphone 4 to 5.1.1 everything was going smooth and then all sudden at the activation screen, my iphone keeps saying it is "Searching..." I placed my sim card in the slot and still says "Searching..." took out my sim card still says "Searching...." Restored multiple times, Resetted the Phone multiple times and still "Searching..."

My iPhone 4S will not download updates to my existing apps or new apps. Every attempt at downloading simply goes into a "waiting" status. I know it's not my network because my wife's 4S downloads apps no problem, as does my daughters iPod Touch. I have tried completely shutting my iPhone off and turning it back on. No luck. I've signed out of iTunes and back in. No luck.
Right now the only way I've been able to get updates and apps onto my phone is by syncing it, which is ridiculous. I don't understand why this suddenly started happening. I've had the phone since November with zero problems. I know it's not server traffic because my wife's downloads come in quickly on the same network. I haven't been able to download anything in several weeks now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been experiencing a rather annoying bug on my S6. After unlocking the screen, sometimes the status bar will not pull down. This happens about 1/5 unlocks. I have to lock the screen again and then unlock for it to work again. Since the status bar is usually the first thing I use after unlocking, this becomes a real pain. I was hoping that the recent update would fix this, but it's still happening.

A few days ago my iphone went to a activation required screen, so I activated it then after that I stopped having service. I get service everytime it goes back to the activation required screen and that doesn't let me go on any other screen, otherwise it always says it's searching in the service bar.. this past week (tuesday) I sent my wife a text, and she never received it as of thursday. on thursday I decided to reset my iphone, and after doing so my text messages were then received. however now I'm getting the "no service, and searching" indication on my phone when I'm in the house, and I've never received that before.
