I have tried everything - service books, delete and add, removing gmail account and provisioning again, calling Rogers all without success, I can receive, I can send but I cannot reply....
Went through and set up my gmail through the email set up wizard. Used these exact steps: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB03087
Issue is I'm not seeing any of my existing / read messages on my phone. After set up I had zero messages in my blackberry email inbox. How do I go about getting these message in my blackberry email?
I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time. What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
I just got a new blackberry bold 9900. When I try to reply to emails the device only gives me the option to save the email and I cannot send the email. If I compose a new email I am able to send it normally. Why is the device not giving me the option to send replies? This is a problem because most of my email traffic is replying to messages.
We recently moved a client of ours back in-house with an exchange server. There are about 5 users that use BlackBerry smartphones. All of the smartphones were configured and activated without issue and are working fine... except 1. This one particular phone cannot reply to messages (Gets the red "X"). It can however compose a new email and send without issue.I've tried deleting the Desktop CMIME service book and resending, to no avail Full wipe and reactivation, to no avail I used the sendastool to reconfigure send as permissions for this user and repeated the steps above, to no avail.I'm just puzzled at this point as to why this one phone cannot send reply emails (again, sending new is no issue!) Granted, i'm not on location and am not seeing exactly what the user is doing, but he has been using his blackberry for years and knows how to send email/reply, etc.
Got my 9700 today. Can't work this one out... I am on BIS. When I reply to an email, is there any way of setting so that the icon next to message in the inbox shows that I have replied to a message? i.e. a little arrow to show the message has been replied to. I am finding it difficult to see what I have replied to an what I have not...Also, is there no "sent" box as such?
I have a new Bold 9780 which is on my company's corporate network via BES, and all is working well with this side of things, with full integration with my Outlook desktop, so no issue here.I have also set up my BlackBerry with my personal e-mail account. I receive all e-mails sent to my personal e-mail account, but I cannot reply, or send new e-mail. I get a reply option to e-mails received in the menu, but after I have composed the reply, it just gives me 3 options - "switch application", "save draft" and "full menu". It gives me the same three options if I compose a new e-mail and want to send it.I have contacted my carrier, my e-mail account provider, and they all say it is a BlackBerry issue.
I have upgraded to 7.1 on my BB Bold 9900. Now if I want to send a reply mail from my BB it does not give me the option to press send after I have typed the reply??? The menu is a disaster!! I want to restore OS 7.
I've got a Bold 9780 and I am able to send and receive emails but when I try to reply to an email I can type new text in the reply but don't get a send button on the screen. I get; change application, save draft and full menu buttons. I'm not using enterprise - just regular. I took my phone to 2 Rogers location last night and they hadn't seen this issue before. I have up to date software on my phone and desktop?
I have the 9900 and 3 of my friends I do group text with have iphones and I can't respond to the group texts, it only goes to the individual when I respond. I continue to just send it on the original group text each time so they all receive it, but it shows up as a new text each time to them so starting a new thread. Is there a app I can download somewhere...
Is there a way to set my BB 9000 to delete the original text on emails automatically? It's really a hassle to go through the menu to delete the original text every single time...
Everything works like a charm, I can send e-mails, and receive them and everything else this wonderful little piece if outstanding technology is supposed to do, ... except reply to an email. I've read many, many solutions found on the internet all day today to the point I am exhausted, so I have no other choice than to take some of your valuable time to assist me. I did the Options/Advanced/Service Book delete and restore CMIME trick and no change.
I have a brand new, unlocked Blackberry Bold 9780 (originally a Roger's phone, now using with Fido). I was able to setup my emails to the device and can also receive emails. However, I am unable to open, reply or forward the emails. I can only get rid of the message indicator by marking the email open or deleting the message. I have done numerous hard restarts (i.e. battery pulls) and this does not correct the problem. I am using OS 6.0 Bundle 1879 which I just updated to today using desktop manager. I've scoured the web for answers and can't find one.
When I receive an email, I cannot reply to it. I hit the reply icon, write my response, but then I can't send it. It only allows me to save it to draft.
For some reason I am unable to reply to emails with one my email accounts. To be more specific I can type in my response but when I hit the menu the send option is gone. The only choices I get are "save as draft" and "full menu".
I used the search but was not able to find a solution.
I am thinking this started to happen when I DL'ed v5.0.0.602. I tried practically everyone option available. I did the following in hopes for a fix:
- battery pull - service books - deleted the email account & re-added
I even did this combo: service books, deleted account, service books, added account & pulled battery.
Just got my BB Bold 9700 and set up my email acoounts. I can receive emails no problem, but am unable to reply. It only lets me compose them then save to drafts.
We have a contract IT person, so they are not helpful, but we do not have a BES. When I read or reply to messages in outlook the original message gets sent to the email on the blackberry again. Is there a way to turn this off?
I have run into a massive problem with my BB email.I can compose/send and receive email pushed to my phone but I cannot seem to REPLY to messages by hitting reply. Instead I receive an error saying that I can only compose a draft. Now this only happens when I am replying to an already pushed email. I have already tried resending service books and resending HRT.
All of a sudden I am getting delivery status failures when trying to reply to work emails. The message in the email reads: Diagnostic -Code: smtp;550, Unable to add (email) because host is listed on RBL dnsbl.sorbs.net
This just started happening last week? I need to be able to respond and write emails to my boss and co-workers on a daily basis, especially when I am traveling.
Since I downloaded the latest BB update, more than half the time when I attempt to reply to an email, "Send" is not an available option. My options are: Cancel, Save or Full Menu. I usually end up redoing my message and using "Forward" as a way around this. What can I do?
I have a Bold 9930 on the Sprint network. I get a lot of mass text messages from friends where they may go back and on a subject. However, I can only reply to the "one" person that sent the message. I know two people with Bolds that can do it, but they have different network providers.
My husband and I both have gmail accounts and our gmail calenders are connected to each other. He has an android phone and my calender is visible to him on his phone, but his calender is not visible on my phone. I have no problems viewing his calender on my computer.
Is there a gmail app for the blackberry. I have an aol email, and now a new email supported by gmail. I currently get my aol email on my blackberry, but can only view my gmail on the web browser. Is there a way to get both?
i updated my phone last week, and ever since then i do not receive any gmail anymore.i did the batt pull thing. i also deleted the gmail app from my phone and reinstalled it but still no email.can anyone help me.funny thing is i hear a sound for the email but not email in my boxes?
I'm a brand new BlackBerry user! Got my first ever BlackBerry on Tuesday - and I'm loving it! The 9700 is a beautiful little thing.
But, how do I sign out of Gmail? I'm not sure if staying signed in will abuse my data usage (unlimited with Vodafone, but due to their fair use policy - it's technically 500MB).
I'm just using the 'built in' email tool to get my emails, not sure if there's a dedicated app I should be using, or even if this is considered an app... I know very little about BlackBerry's!
I bought the Bold 9900 - it has the enhanced gMail plugin preinstalled - which I havent used since BBOS 5. The option to archive, report spam etc are all there - all except add star.
