We have a contract IT person, so they are not helpful, but we do not have a BES. When I read or reply to messages in outlook the original message gets sent to the email on the blackberry again. Is there a way to turn this off?
View 4 RepliesWhen will Blackberry Desktop Manager be able to sync with MS Outlook 2010? I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.
Everything works like a charm, I can send e-mails, and receive them and everything else this wonderful little piece if outstanding technology is supposed to do, ... except reply to an email. I've read many, many solutions found on the internet all day today to the point I am exhausted, so I have no other choice than to take some of your valuable time to assist me. I did the Options/Advanced/Service Book delete and restore CMIME trick and no change.

When I reply to an email, is there any way of setting so that the icon next to message in the inbox shows that I have replied to a message? i.e. a little arrow to show the message has been replied to. I am finding it difficult to see what I have replied to an what I have not...Also, is there no "sent" box as such?

When I open an email on the BB and read it, it shows as being read on my PC, when I open email in outlook, it still shows unread on BB. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? I would like to see the messages as read on my BB so I don't have to keep opening emails that I have already read.

I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
For some reason I am unable to reply to emails with one my email accounts. To be more specific I can type in my response but when I hit the menu the send option is gone. The only choices I get are "save as draft" and "full menu".
I used the search but was not able to find a solution.
I am thinking this started to happen when I DL'ed v5.0.0.602. I tried practically everyone option available. I did the following in hopes for a fix:
- battery pull
- service books
- deleted the email account & re-added
I even did this combo: service books, deleted account, service books, added account & pulled battery.
Just got my BB Bold 9700 and set up my email acoounts. I can receive emails no problem, but am unable to reply. It only lets me compose them then save to drafts.

Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

This just started happening last week? I need to be able to respond and write emails to my boss and co-workers on a daily basis, especially when I am traveling.
The contacts in outlook have only my new contact info (1 contact) and the desktop and wireless software want to synchronize with this folder. The sync works between the two devises however it does not recognize the loads of contacts that are on my blackberry devise. I have tried all of the options on the advanced sync option to try toget outlook to download the contact from the Blackberry 9700. How do I get these two to synchronize?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a VZW Bold 9650 and I am having a "random reset" issue with my blackberry. Out of nowhere (often just sitting running no programs) my device restarts itself. Sometimes it just gives me a blank white screen and restarts, other times I get an actual error message in that white screen - but it disappears in 0.1 sec, so there is no way to read it. Because the resets are random, I can't emulate them to try to get a picture for example.
Is there a way to read that error message after the device finishes restarting (like an error log of sorts)?
General advice on how to fix this error would also be welcomed (though I think that if I can read the error message, it will be easier to narrow down the cause). I would rather not do a full wipe since I am out of network for now and will be for the next month or so.
More details: Originally VZW, but unlocked (by VZW) to use with other carriers. Currently. Crazy John's in Australia OS6 All programs work well (though my GPS has been weird and often takes 5 min. to find my location)
I just bought a MicroSD car for my Bold 9700 but when i connect it to the slot, it doesnt seem to be connecting to my phone. Any help? ive also been battery pulling to see if it would connect
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a great at&t 9700 today which i tested before i paid for. I got home and noticed the sim card was tough to get in and i forced it. Doing this broke a contact point off in the sim socket giving initialization failed message. I took the phone apart trying to come up with a fix of my own...... no success
-what are my options? i cannot find the main board and the socket is integrated unlike other blackberry models.
-can i buy the main board?
I recently got a bold 9700 replacing my disfunction old bold 9700. The new OS6 makes it so different. I need to read emails in Chinese . I downloaded and installed Blackberry Desktop Software version 6.0 multi-language. When go to Applications, there are only 7 applications listed. I couldn't find the "East Asian Character and Font Suppor" that I used to add to my old bold 9700.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a seconhand BB Bold 9700 from ebay, and after registering for BIS with my provider I have been unable to connect to the BIS at all, so no email or internet. The blackberry network dots appear next to the 3G symbol in the top right hand corner, but in service status it shows that the BIS is not connected. I have spent hours on the phone to my provider troubleshooting this problem. They have completely run out of ideas and have no clue why this is happening.

On the old thread it sounded like I have no choice, but that was re: a different type of BB. If anyone knows how to even get into my options to look I'd appreciate it. So i turned them on and it seems to work fine via MMS to phones that are on my same network (ATT) but the other phones i sent it to only said D for Delivered. And i know its read because i got responses. Ideas? Second, there is a delivery option for SMS but that one doesnt seem to work at all.
