I just left the IPhone & converted to the 9700 & I absolutely love it! Does anyone know if ATT has some type of 3G map that shows future coverage? 3G is available about 1 mile from my home, so I am wandering with it being that close, if coverage will soon come my way.
View 7 Repliesquick question regarding the LED coverage indicator.I currently have 2 bb's a curve 8310 and of course a bold 9700. i have set both bb's to have the LED coverage indicator on. the curve 8310 LED constantly blinks green while the 9700 only blinks while im on a call or if i am using my bbm. the BOLD always has full bars of coverage so im not sure if they changed the way the led indicator works or if there is just a problem with my 9700.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI searched the forum multiple times this week and cant find an answer to my problem. since a week i suddenly lost my EDGE coverage and got now edge.email, bbm browser not working. host routing table is empty and i can't register my servicebooks. browser only works on wifi. if i try tu use it without wifi it says "this is hotspot browser" i have bis active. i reactivated it by calling my provider did battery pulls, os updates nothing worked out.one (litle thing i noticed the same day i lost coverage i got a message on my bb saying uncaught exeption adding byte out of range) i dont know if this has somthing to do with my problem are there crackberry addicts that can help me with my problem.

-regarding the branding/software - have Orange added loads of their own software i.e orange world icons etc? And do they cause phone to be compromised in any way compared to O2, Vodafone etc?
- how is Orange overall as a network for 3G coverage?
I want the 9700 to blink red only when I have something of attention.Please help, I do have IM+ installed on the 9700...I've turned off the LED network coverage, etc etc...and yet even when I dont have any emails, im's etc....the silly thing STILL blinks..I have Bebuzz loaded which is fine I think...But for the life of me I dont know why it's flashing...
View 11 Replies View RelatedI changed my Berry to white earlier today and now I'm noticing some problems with my network coverage. I didn't change the black part where the SIM and memory card etc. are held. I change the bezel, bottom cover, battery cover and keypad. I get 'SOS' often and it randomly says 'Searching for network', sometimes as soon as I try to send a text. I am on Orange UK and people have had problems in the past few days with them so I'm wondering if it was the housing that caused it?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a seconhand BB Bold 9700 from ebay, and after registering for BIS with my provider I have been unable to connect to the BIS at all, so no email or internet. The blackberry network dots appear next to the 3G symbol in the top right hand corner, but in service status it shows that the BIS is not connected. I have spent hours on the phone to my provider troubleshooting this problem. They have completely run out of ideas and have no clue why this is happening.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to disable all data on the bb 9700 (OS 5.545?) and only use it as a phone/SMS.Question is i went into mobile network and i set Data Services to OFF.But i also read online that if its GSM it should change from EDGE to edge, and 3G to 3g.Well anyways on this phone its still saying 3G even tho data is OFF.

It shows the charging signal as tho it is charger but the battery never moves I have never seen anything like this! Looks like I'm goin to have to buy a whole new battery.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAlmost everytime I go to use the browser, or an application that uses the browser (such as Poynte) I either get the error that it can't be used because the radio is off (which it is not), or that there is insufficient network coverage at this time and to try again later. Needless to say this is getting VERY old. I do had Quickpull scheduled to run everynight at 8pm. I took it in to Verizon and the woman there was extreamly unhelpful. The device itself is about 2 months old. I've searched the forums and found nothing like this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
My gmail will no longer push using this:

For some reason today it is telling me my password is incorrect. I can set it up to fetch using the gmail server and it works fine. That's not an option because i NEED my Google calendar on my i phone to push... or at least update itself but that doesn't seem to work set up using gmail fetch.HELP.I know you can use an exchange account but it seems like it only works about 25% of the time. Of course I'm JB so I could have something conflicting.Either way, when the heck is google gonna support push? Never because they want Android to look better or what!Had anyone heard any info about this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've earlier posted two questions about the issues.Would also like to push for theese, for me, very important improvements in a future E72 software release:Improve the search, when dialing from stand by mode (home screen), to also include the "Save As" field from Outlook, or at least the company name. It works in the contacts screen and should of course work in the home screen.Evolve the categories in the calendar so that it can be used with Outlook categories fully.These two improvements would really add a lot of value for me and i think for a lot of other people who use the E72 for business.Would really be nice to here from someone at Nokia that "we are aware and working on a solution".
