There has been some new updates to Android phones, but from what I saw, none is compatible with Xperia x8.Will there be an update to the new x8?And if so, will be with the multitouch functionality?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I had one wish for improving the Mini Pro software it would be to the select, copy, cut, paste type functions. Currently you have to use the inbuilt/native Android methods to acheive the above, which are pretty horrible to use imho. I believe this isn't making use of the great keyboard the Mini Pro has been blessed with.can you update the firmware so that you can select text by using something like SHIFT + CURSOR keys and also add support for the copy, cut, paste with something again like SHIFT + C, SHIFT + X and SHIFT + V.

The Android and iPhone market are growing strong. The Blackberry and WinMobile share is dwindling too.Unlike Apple or Google, Nokia is never committed to one handset or one operating system.With Maemo on the market, I think Symbian is now no longer a priority for Nokia.
My daughters both have 9300's One is running on 6.0 2949 the other 9300 will not let me upgrade from 5.0 1399. When I plug phone into PC and check for updates I get message saying no Blackberry updates
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not

For some reason today it is telling me my password is incorrect. I can set it up to fetch using the gmail server and it works fine. That's not an option because i NEED my Google calendar on my i phone to push... or at least update itself but that doesn't seem to work set up using gmail fetch.HELP.I know you can use an exchange account but it seems like it only works about 25% of the time. Of course I'm JB so I could have something conflicting.Either way, when the heck is google gonna support push? Never because they want Android to look better or what!Had anyone heard any info about this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've earlier posted two questions about the issues.Would also like to push for theese, for me, very important improvements in a future E72 software release:Improve the search, when dialing from stand by mode (home screen), to also include the "Save As" field from Outlook, or at least the company name. It works in the contacts screen and should of course work in the home screen.Evolve the categories in the calendar so that it can be used with Outlook categories fully.These two improvements would really add a lot of value for me and i think for a lot of other people who use the E72 for business.Would really be nice to here from someone at Nokia that "we are aware and working on a solution".

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the update to 4.0.2.A.0.42 yesterday, not sure what I was on before.I am now having gps issues, I get an inital fix OK but I am not getting continuas updates.It's not a bug in my IpBike App I am seeing the same behaivure with the standard google maps app and a couple of other apps I have tried.I have also checked my app on an old X8 and it's working ok there still.I have done a restart of the phone but that made no difference.The GPS itself is working OK, if I start and stop the mapping apps they get a good quick inital fix but they don't contunue to get updates.Looking in the Logcat there is nothing obviously wrong.Is there any way of going back to the previous software version?

If I uninstall updates from certain applications, I can get my phone's available space up to the limit that will allow me to actually USE my phone. But lately, lots of application updates are being pushed out, and many of these are on apps that I can't delete but don't use. These updates take up so much space that I continually get the Low on space message, and then I can't get emails, etc.--which is my primary purpose for having this phone.
Isn't there a way for me to turn off automatic updates so that apps only update upon my initiation?
