Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Turn Off Application Updates?

Is there a ways to disable automatic application updates? If I uninstall updates from certain applications, I can get my phone's available space up to the limit that will allow me to actually USE my phone. But lately, lots of application updates are being pushed out, and many of these are on apps that I can't delete but don't use. These updates take up so much space that I continually get the Low on space message, and then I can't get emails, etc.--which is my primary purpose for having this phone.
Isn't there a way for me to turn off automatic updates so that apps only update upon my initiation?
when i playing some games..sometime they force close?it is because the memory very low?i have a task killer and everytime it kill,the memory become more less and less...and how to turn off some application i dont use?i keep kill them but they keep restart?any idea how to turn off those application that i dont wanna use?and how to maintain the memory.
So we tried taking pictures in the pool last night using the touch block application. after taking many photos I tried to deactivate the touch block but the slider for the deactivation WONT appear.
I locked the phone then unlock it but since the touch block app is on I cant use the screen and cant put on the password.
We tried calling my phone since it was indicated that the touch block would be automatically deactivated if their is an incoming call, but it didnt.
It's becoming clear that after adding support for the e71 and e66 no other "old" device will be migrated to the last ovi maps.these older devices will stick to 3.01 and the 10$ annual fee per region.ok let's accept this but...
it has been widely reported that the routing algorithm has some flaws in choosing the best route. there are many examples in this forum.so i expect that it will be impoved in the future.these improvements will be only for devices running 3.03 and later or will be they be backported also to 3.01?this is quite important because a bad routing algorithm is very bad for a navigation application even if it is "cheap".
Nokia is really driving me nuts with this, I have one applicaiton in particular that will just not complete the download. It is a paid application so, when I get a message, maximum download attempts reached, it is very upsetting. I have logged feedback request via the built in feature in the application store and you can see clearly Nokia does not care what response they send a person.Upon further research, I find some other applications have this issue too. When I synch with the Desktop manager, it seems to resolve contacts and appointments fine, but then goes to check for device application updates.About a week ago, it stalled at about 2/5's of the way throughthe update.Now it returns to that same point when it hits the updates step and never progresses.I have rebooted both PC and phone, tried to stop the task, and hit the CANCEL button, but it responds to nothing.

She is going abroad soon and I understand that sometimes people have run up large data bills when abroad because their smartphone apdates aps without prompting. My daughters both have 9300's One is running on 6.0 2949 the other 9300 will not let me upgrade from 5.0 1399. When I plug phone into PC and check for updates I get message saying no Blackberry updates
Since the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not
There has been some new updates to Android phones, but from what I saw, none is compatible with Xperia x8.Will there be an update to the new x8?And if so, will be with the multitouch functionality?
I am using Xperia pro and my SI Number is 1250-2220(South Africa) and am still stuck on ginger bread in this century, I would like to know when is sony gona roll out ICS update for 1250-2220(South Africa)? I cant use gingerbread anymore at this time and i cant comprimise my device's warantee by rooting it
I am roaming outside of my normal network. Will this affect my ability to get the update to 2.1?My normal network is O2 UK, I am roaming in Brasil on a number of the local networks (TIM, Oi etc).
I'm unsatisfied about Sony updates. They always give not fluid update.I just want to stable update.I'm a Neo V user. But I couldn't give a stable update. The ICS updates are awful and I returned to gingerbread. So I didn't get any useful update.

I have installed the new market for my Xperia X10(2.3). I feel that im not recieveing updates properly for my installed apps. In the old market i would get updates every couple of days atleast. What i wanna know is, the new market is a faiure one
I did the update to 4.0.2.A.0.42 yesterday, not sure what I was on before.I am now having gps issues, I get an inital fix OK but I am not getting continuas updates.It's not a bug in my IpBike App I am seeing the same behaivure with the standard google maps app and a couple of other apps I have tried.I have also checked my app on an old X8 and it's working ok there still.I have done a restart of the phone but that made no difference.The GPS itself is working OK, if I start and stop the mapping apps they get a good quick inital fix but they don't contunue to get updates.Looking in the Logcat there is nothing obviously wrong.Is there any way of going back to the previous software version?
I have an X10 Mini unbranded, bought in Brazil, having the model number E10a, as I guess everyone in America continent has. why do Europe get so many firmware updates and we just stay still? I'm saying that because as I was reading many forums about X10 Mini, I constantly seeing firmware updates, maybe I'm wrong, and the FW numbers differs from E10a and E10i.
I get the above error message when I try to change the alarm time and click on the clock icon. Could someone please tell me how to fix the problem? At the moment I can't change the alarm time or turn it off as I can't get into the application.
I have PC Companion installed and the and update service installed. When following the instructions, I get to the download bit and it starts and then just stops. An error message then comes up saying that there was problems with the internet (despite me being on broadband) and using the internet at the same time. Firewalls are all ok and all working. Battery life is 77%.
i have a problem with my arc handset. me and my girlfriend both have the arc with andriod 2.3.3. the problem is if someone writes on my partners wall on facebook she recieves a notification on the notification bar on the top of the phone, however mine does not. ive reinstalled facebook app on the phone and even reinstalled the whole phone from scratch. ive gone through all settings to make sure there all the same and im at my wites end.
