The blackberry network dots appear next to the 3G symbol in the top right hand corner, but in service status it shows that the BIS is not connected. I have spent hours on the phone to my provider troubleshooting this problem. They have completely run out of ideas and have no clue why this is happening.

I just left the IPhone & converted to the 9700 & I absolutely love it! Does anyone know if ATT has some type of 3G map that shows future coverage? 3G is available about 1 mile from my home, so I am wandering with it being that close, if coverage will soon come my way.
I wanted to disable all data on the bb 9700 (OS 5.545?) and only use it as a phone/SMS.Question is i went into mobile network and i set Data Services to OFF.But i also read online that if its GSM it should change from EDGE to edge, and 3G to 3g.Well anyways on this phone its still saying 3G even tho data is OFF.
Once again my charging problems are back! It must be my battery because I have done a batttery pull and still its not charging properly! It shows the charging signal as tho it is charger but the battery never moves I have never seen anything like this! Looks like I'm goin to have to buy a whole new battery.
The Bold 9700 has a big prblem with its SMS service because it only shows the 1st sender only and I always think messages coming are from the same guy!! I can not answer because I am not sure of the sender as it doesn't show! what shall I do?
We have a contract IT person, so they are not helpful, but we do not have a BES. When I read or reply to messages in outlook the original message gets sent to the email on the blackberry again. Is there a way to turn this off?
My Blackberry Bold 9700 shows white blank screen with text "app error 104". Most of the time, it happens after restarting my phone or sometimes it just pops out
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'. In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
I've owned my 9700 for nearly 2 months now and I'm still not used to the keyboard. I prefer my 8310's spaced out keys. has anybody replaced the 9700 keyboard with the Atlas keyboard?
I have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?
My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

I have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.
Just wanted to ask, after the latest update. It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.
I have discovered that some of my text messages are not being sent or received. Every text shows that it sends and shows a time within a few seconds. I would say I am 90% working fine, but important texts are falling through the cracks.Text messages I send with more than 160 characters auto blend into one message natively. Recipients are only receiving part #2.They never have received the first part on dozens of tries. Always the case from home and work. I'm connected to wifi at home and work. Oddly enough, I was able to disconnect from wifi and was able to send both parts of sms messages 4 out of 5 times. When i connected back to wifi, still only the 2nd part of the sms.A few of the regular sms messages that I confirmed didn't go through were more than 100 characters, but less than 160. So far, every small or low character count message has worked.
Didn't receive a couple of texts that I was able to verify were 100+ character texts. eems to be a larger message problem, but every picture I have sent has successfully gone through.Installed Go SMS tonight. Still had the issue when sending multipart texts that only text #2 came through.I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Sprint today. We did a battery pull and he did a phone refresh remotely. I tried a test text while he was on the phone. I sent a 2 parter to my wife and it was received. I thought the problem was fixed, but the very next 2 part text only showed the 2nd part of the message. I have not been able to get a 2 parter to go through since.
The other day I walked into a Walmart that had a display of cell phones. There was the 9700 there. I have the 9000. I was really looking forward to upgrading to the 9700, but now I don't know. It's LIKE REALLY small. I love the size of my 9000, and I'm afraid I'm going to have times typing on the 9700 keyboard now.
I have a Blackberrry bold 9780 for the past 2 years.I have configured 4 email ids on it.For the past few days i have noticed that it has started hanging on me.Even after doing a hard reset it still hangs so decided to take a backup. when i connect it to blackberry desktop manager it connects after a few minutes but as i start to take the backup it goes off and restarts.i need all these mails as they are all very important to me.I managed to connect and take backups after a few unsucessful attempts.I noticed that after conecting via the blackberry manager and going to appications that the device only 5 mb remaining out of the 500mb storage.There are no appications installed other that my mails.Now my question is how to free up space in the phone as the phone is almost unuable.I need the mails as i have also added a flags to my important mails which are older that 2 years
1)Is there a way to delete mails that are not flaged.?? 2)can mail storage be changed to media card??? 3)Can these mails which are there be synced to outlook ??? 4) what are my other options other than going to a newer decive with more storage.
I am using the phone with the blacberry services turned off.
Also I have tried uninstalling blackberry protect which all of a sudden showed up in the appications via blackberry destop manager the space is now showing 3mb left out of 500mb after the phone restarted.
When I send email from Outlook on my computer through my Gmail account, the sent email shows up not once, but twice on my BB. There is a check mark next to the email like other sent email has.I don't understand why any email sent from my computer shows up on my BB in the first place. I have Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and email sent from my computer do not show up on my BB. I am NOT on an Exchange server. I've look in Outlook and can't find anywhere to change it. I've look at the webserver for Gmail and can't find anything there either.
My phone has just started acting weird. Whenever I turn it on the screen just gradually gets white, nothing shows up. There's no water damage and I have never dropped it. I've tried pulling the battery and nothing has worked so far.
Since some time my SMS icon doesn't show SMS'es as it should, but instead only my e-mails. I had to adjust the settings of the e-mail icon to also show SMS'es, but having both showing in one list is not convenient. It looks as if the properties of the SMS icon are completely taken over by the e-mail icon, as changing a setting under the e-mail icon also changes that same setting under the SMS icon...
how to get my SMS'es back as an independent folder?
I have bought a new Unlocked 9650 smartphone from Amazon.com. I have AT&T gophone connection. Now, i am not able to make & receive any calls, everytime i try to call a number it shows an error message:- Congestion. Also, on top of my caller screen it shows a different number than mine.When i go to Advance system settings>SIM Card, it does shows my number BUT in Service Status it shows a different number. contacted one AT&T outlet and they say that it is a used phone not the new one because the number it shows belongs to the old user and the network my phone is showing is Edge which is not supportive in my Gophone scheme. I called up the number which is showing in my phone but the person says that he never owned or sold any phone.
I bought a BB 9780 unlocked last month I was going to call and the screen displayed "No service currently available". So I restarted my phone, my signal bar went into "SOS" and I haven't been able to make it have signal strength again.
JUM error 102 shows when phone is switched on, then asked to reset then the same msg come back again, I have to download JL_Cmder it doesnt work, I don't want to swap my phone as it have everything on it..

months ago my new BB 9780 showed a white screen up when i ended a phone call. my device working properly right now without any problem even it goes to lock mode and when i press the lock button it's goes on again. the main problem is that sceen is just white white and white. i have tried to disassemble the device for 2 times and screen works great for minustes each time i assembled it back, but the problem begins in a while and screen goes white again.
enclosed that there is no one who knows about fixing BB in my country! and as you see from my bad english i'm not living in a blackberry-supported country
