My phone has just started acting weird. Whenever I turn it on the screen just gradually gets white, nothing shows up. There's no water damage and I have never dropped it. I've tried pulling the battery and nothing has worked so far.
View 1 RepliesI am having the same issue as covered in lots of threads before. when i try to turn my phone on (pluged in to the wall charger) it just shows the red led for about 10 seconds and switched to white screen with battery thunder bolt symbol in the middle for abotu 10 seconds and then it repeats over and over again. but my phone does something ive never seen talked abotu on here.
When my red led is on the phone is making this weird noise. kinda sounds like fan comin from the phone. and itll only make the noise on the second time around. any suggestion on the noise and what i can do???? i have gotten a new battery, tried the battery pull, and ive waited 2 days and tried again no luck.
Today my e63 phone died while I was using the internet so I plugged it into my charger, all that happened was the light behind the navigation button lit up and then turned off, usually my phone will just go into the charging screen and I then turn it back on. I tried with multiple chargers and there was no difference.I then tried to turn it on and all that comes up is a white screen. I took out the sim card and memory card but there is no difference apart from the fact that when I turned it on after taking out the memory card the screen was black with white lines then went completely white.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmonths ago my new BB 9780 showed a white screen up when i ended a phone call. my device working properly right now without any problem even it goes to lock mode and when i press the lock button it's goes on again. the main problem is that sceen is just white white and white. i have tried to disassemble the device for 2 times and screen works great for minustes each time i assembled it back, but the problem begins in a while and screen goes white again.
enclosed that there is no one who knows about fixing BB in my country! and as you see from my bad english i'm not living in a blackberry-supported country
recently my BBB 9700 show white screen....i dunno is the phone problem or my screen LCD problem....

It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.

Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.

When I bought it, I checked every function of the phone on the spot to see if it was okay. It was rooted and a custom recovery and ROM was on it. I brought it home and flashed the factory image from Google. Worked fine till today.
Today, the phone turned itself off, first it showed a black screen, then a dimly lit but still black. I tried to turn it on but it shows a pixelated screen like this:

I tried everything on these pages, but I couldn't solve my problem.
After a while, the phone turns off (with flickering screen) due to battery drain and if I plug it to my computer, it turns on with a dimly lit black screen then off, but I can access the storage on Windows.
I tried to open the bootloader, but it won't open. If I had been successful at accessing the bootloader, I would have easily reset the phone.

So i came off my phone 1am & everything was cool, during the night i noticed it seemed to be booting up as if it had been battery pulled. When i got up it was still doing this but the progress bar gets a quarter of the way then the screen goes blank & it starts again. It has now been about 8 hours & its STILL doing this. Whats going on & how can i get my phone working again?
View 8 Replies View Relatedsince installing .411 my Bold hasn't had a single problem, apart from one. Every now and again, I will notice it light up, the screen and keyboard both turn on. After a couple of seconds, it will dim out as it would after use.
I have a windows mobile phone and before I receive a text message, that is exactly what that does, but I receive nothing when the Bold lights up? The only fix I have is to put it into bedside mode as it doesn't seem to happen when in that state....
So every time i reboot it has a white screen with and error message JVM error 517.

On a call it went to loud speaker or hold phone function for whatever reason or call to somebody else at the same time or various other irritations. The worst thing is that I work in technical support and many people call me every day on Blackberry. So during the last week I deal with lots of unsatisfied and confused customers.Is there any possibility to turn off the touch screen in a call mode? He is a longtime BB user most recently upgrading from an earlier Bold 9700 before that the 8800 series as well as earlier models. He does not like the touch screen and it is driving him crazy. I cannot find anything about turning it off. How can you disable the touch screen on it? I have seen posts on other sites requesting this, but have seen no solutions, other than adjusting the sensitivity.

View 1 Replies View Relatedhad my phone for a while and it usually did the white screen thing where I used to have to take out the battery and insert again, but recently it was working fine then all of a sudden the screen went dim. Even on the highest brightness the screen can go it was still dim, sometimes it would brighten up again but it eventually got dimmer and then did the white screen thing and turned off. Now whenever I turn it on (re-insert the battery etc) I get a fixed red light, then a few seconds later this goes and the keyboard lights up. Then nothing.I've searched for any resolutions but so far found none, I've even tried leaving the battery out for a while and then putting it back in and updating the software but this hasn't been usefull

I have searched the Google Play for an app that would allow the screen and buttons to lock for a toddler and still show what is on the screen, but I have not found one yet. The screen could still be unlocked, but it would be like the lid to a medicine bottle, only a grown-up could unlock it.
I just received a used blackberry bold 9000. I still have not been able to turn it on, it is black with a blinking led light (which only shows when plugged in to either the wall charger or USB). It blinks once (red) and then three times very quickly. I can not wipe the hardware because my computer does not recognize the device. Is there anyway to fix this? I do not want to return it if I can easily fix it.
