Did the most recent update to my iphone 5 and it went through to whole update process, but afterwards my screen displayed a connect to itunes symbol. And my home computer is down so i cant use that to connect to itunes.

I have been having a strange problem with my 3GS phone the last couple of weeks.It seems to happen whenever I get back into a 3G service area (for example no service in Subway, or after leaving my house where I use wi-fi), it shows the 3G symbol on my phone, but I have no access to the internet at all. I toggle the airplane mode and still does not work. Sometimes it works when I turn the phone off and on but that seems rather annoying. I have done a restore but does not seem to help Any suggesstions?

Then another window said it was unable to install as I needed the latest update of itunes. I thought I had that on my phone! I reset my device in an attempt to fix, but unfortunately it didn't fix it. At least I had all my music, apps and movies before, now I literally just have a blank phone that wont sync.

I have an IPhone 4 which I am trying to restore back to factory settings via iTunes. Every time I try to follow the restore process of itunes, it tries to install IOS 7.1.2 and shows it as needing 3 hours. The thing is that my phone shows as software updated and 7.1.2 and if I hit the 'check for updates' on iTunes it also shows as being updated and on 7.1.2. I have done the full reboot of the phone and restarted itunes (red) ....
