May 15, 2012I updated my iphone to the latest software tonight, but now I can't sync my phone to itunes. It gets stuck at the first step and then it just errors. I reset my device in an attempt to fix, but unfortunately it didn't fix it. At least I had all my music, apps and movies before, now I literally just have a blank phone that wont sync.

Dec 8, 2014I have an IPhone 4 which I am trying to restore back to factory settings via iTunes. Every time I try to follow the restore process of itunes, it tries to install IOS 7.1.2 and shows it as needing 3 hours. The thing is that my phone shows as software updated and 7.1.2 and if I hit the 'check for updates' on iTunes it also shows as being updated and on 7.1.2. I have done the full reboot of the phone and restarted itunes (red) ....

Initial sync goes ok. After initial sync, "always on" mail times out and stops working. It does not resync 15 minutes later. A manual sync will retrieve mail. After initial sync, contact changes are no longer synced. Further contact syncs fail. If contact sync is disabled, other syncs work ok. I wish I hadn't bothered doing the update!

When I try to configure synchronization by clicking "Configure settings", a dialog comes up that indicates it is "Determining the root configuration name for the main system . . ." and after a few seconds another pops up that says "Intellisync - - Unknown error reported". I have tried to "Reset settings" with no change in the result.
