HTC One M7 :: Unidentified Symbol On Status Bar
Jan 5, 2015I've recently been getting an icon in my HTC One M8's status bar, which is sort of like a pause symbol in a speech bubble. I initially thought it may have been the sleep mode function which can detect when you aren't using the phone so it turns off the data connection, but I turned that off and the symbol still appears.
It only appears for a few seconds when I unlock the phone and then it disappears, so it took loads of attempts to even get this screenshot. Ignore the other icons in the status bar, I've just got my phone plugged in to my PC. The Icon does seem to apear only when the phone is charging, either plugged into my PC or the mains. The symbol I'm confused about is the very top left symbol.

But, I couldn't find it what is it or I might have missed.A part of that symbol looks as square root symbol and extended by another slant line and a horizontal line. Sep 14, 2010About 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.

Jan 1, 2012My wife wanted to sell her BB curve 8520 for a BB upgrade Phone and so to delete all data I did a memory wipe. the phone never started after the wipe and got stuck on the white screen with a small clock in the middle...it stays on for a few min ...goes blank and starts again with the white screen....this keep on repeating on and on!!..I tried to use a method given in other treads by re intalling the software but I cant even connect the BB to my PC via USB (DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED)...I even tried different computers and different USB port and different WIndows (Win 7 and XP) still no luck!

Not able to send any e mails either. Thought too many stored mails may be the problem but device won't now allow me to delete. Nov 9, 2012I bought my bb in may. Now since a week ago it sometimes crashes the screen turns green and purple and it fades to white. I have to take out my battery and charge it without. Then when the sign of no battery shows I put it back in. When I reboot my bb without taking out the battery first it gets stuck in the process.
But the BB keeps on crashing, and the amount of crashes increase..

Jul 28, 2010I have been having a strange problem with my 3GS phone the last couple of weeks.It seems to happen whenever I get back into a 3G service area (for example no service in Subway, or after leaving my house where I use wi-fi), it shows the 3G symbol on my phone, but I have no access to the internet at all. I toggle the airplane mode and still does not work. Sometimes it works when I turn the phone off and on but that seems rather annoying. I have done a restore but does not seem to help Any suggesstions?

I installed Dash Clock with the notifier extensions. The problem is when I add it to the lock screen it adds it to the second lockscreen so I have to swipe across to see it. The normal standard clock remains on the main lockscreen. Am I doing something wrong? I am adding the widget by swiping from right left and clicking on the + icon, the + icon appears on a new screen not on the screen with the built in clock.

Jun 1, 2012I've just got a new BlackBerry Curve 9380 and I'm having trouble sending texts from it - each time I trry it comes up with the error message 'unidentified subscriber'. It's happening for various diffeent contacts so I think it's a problem with my phone rather than theirs. I've tried a battery pull and I checked the service centre number (it comes up as +447802000332).

Mar 19, 2010I went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options.What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.
