My iphone has frozen! It has a cable symbol and the itunes symbol above that... has been frozen on that for the past hour. I can do nothing with the phone except turn it on then off. Only to be greeted by the same image every time! How to get rid of it so I can use my phone again??

Then another window said it was unable to install as I needed the latest update of itunes. I thought I had that on my phone! I just connected my iPhone 3G to my computer with the USB cable (Yes I do have 2.0 USB), and I updated it. After that, my iPhone rebooted. Till now, everything seems quite normal.
But now, as it restarted, it shows a picture of the iTunes logo, and a USB cable poiting at it. So I figured out I needed to connect to iTunes. But if I do so, nothing happens.
I manually restarted my iPhone, I restarted my computer, I reļnstalled iTunes, and nothing seems to work out as I want.As I amtyping this, my iPhone just went off by itself, so I think I need to restart it, because it was on for quite a long time with the iTunes logo on screen.
my iphone 4 is not responding the screen is just showing a usb lead and the itunes symbol. when i plug it into my desktop mac and try to sync it to itunes ,itunes is telling me the phone is in a restore mode. How do i get it to respond without restoring the phone to new ? there is no option to restore with backup as i have not backed up any of the data on the phone

I have an iphone 3GS and I tried to update it yesterday, admittedly its been awhile since i last updated it, but after downloading the software it has remained frozen on the connect to itunes screen. A hard reset does nothing at all. When it is connected to itunes it wants to download the software again, which has already downloaded and wasted 3Gig of my internet.

I want to dwnld unsynced images B4 restoring the phone. Phone is frozen so can't download straight into iPhoto or ImageCapture.
I trawled the net and followed suggestions such as trying to back it up via Ctrl-click in Devices on iTunes but only says 'open in new window' and 'Eject iPhone' - no backup option. Have also looked for the 'Mobilesync' bkup folder in Library too but not there. either.

I have a iPhone 3G.So I made the mistake of upgrading to 3.1.3 firmware, I had unlocked and jailbroken with Cydia and Blackra1n. So i waited a while until there was some ways to do it to 3.1.3 and used Redsn0w to jailbrake which worked and tried to unlock with Sn0wbreeze and it didn't work, I then turned the phone off and the next day I have turned it on and I think its bricked. It just has the sn0wbreeze symbol, computer wont recognize its plugged in and I have held down hold and home to rest and it does nothing.

Did the most recent update to my iphone 5 and it went through to whole update process, but afterwards my screen displayed a connect to itunes symbol. And my home computer is down so i cant use that to connect to itunes.

A friend has been using an iPhone 4 for a while and has now been given an iMac running OS X 10.5.8 (so no iCloud). The phone has just over 1,000 contacts on it and they only exist on the phone. If it's connected to the iMac and in iTunes, contacts are set to sync, will they transfer to the empty Address Book on the iMac or will the iMac wipe them off the phone?

I accepted, but as it was applying the updates some type of error popped up. Long story short, it failed to update and now when I turn on my phone it's frozen with the screen showing the USB cord & iTunes icons. I've tried:
-Shutting it down by holding the sleep/power button
-Shutting it down by holding the Home + sleep/power button
-All of my USB ports on my computer
-Reinstalling iTunes
As soon as I turn it on, it briefly shows the Apple icon then it goes back to the same screen with the iTunes/USB icons. When I connect it to my computer it makes the connection sound but it won't register on iTunes.

I brought my wife an IPhone 4S yesterday and checked with the sales guy in 02 that I can run two accounts off the same laptop as I have an IPhone as well, which he said would be fine.
However the new IPhone required an updated version, which I downloaded and then the new IPhone locked up with the ITunes Logo and the USB Cable showing. Have tried restoring but it keeps saying it needs to download the newest version iOS 5.1.1 which takes over an hour to download, but I already have the newest version dowloaded.
