On my 9700 i found the option. So i turned them on and it seems to work fine via MMS to phones that are on my same network (ATT) but the other phones i sent it to only said D for Delivered. And i know its read because i got responses. Ideas? Second, there is a delivery option for SMS but that one doesnt seem to work at all.
View 14 RepliesLast week as a result of email problems, IT deleted and re-created my Blackberry BES user account. This allowed me to re-activate the handheld and emails have been working fine. However, I am receiving read receipts when sending email from the Blackberry, and the settings to enable/disable the receipts are entirely missing from the handheld. OS is version 5.0 (highest version available from my provider).

Symptoms:
Open Attachment, retrieving attachment starts, I have noticed with a 30k pdf attachment will download and show, not legible though. Very slow.
With a 600k attachment retrieving freezes, have to keep clicking more until download is 100%. Attachment still not displaying correctly, shows just white screen.
My pad will not function. It keeps selecting without my option to select restricting me from doing anything. Device stuck at network connections. Phone keeps turning on/off for mobile connection. Trouble began with simply dialing at random and various other non-selected choices. I feel that the touch pad may be the fault;

I'm pretty sure I didn't do it but all of a sudden upon receipt of a new e-mail, I get a audible alert and I can't find anywhere to turn it off. I did discover that the iphone seems a little more user friendly when it comes to path of some of their settings though.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a seidio extended battery for my phone and had the seidio doc which is horrible and I recommend to no one. It's built cheap and can break very easy. The metal charging prongs on the seidio doc just broke so I switched over to my normal blackberry bold doc.The problem is when I charge my phone I get a ton of different things that happen. I have my phone set up to enter bedtime mode and turn my profile to silent during certain hours when the phone is plugged in to charge. During these times the phone will always enter bedtime mode but three different things happen:
1. Phone dims and displays a clock
2. Screen light stays on and keyboard is illuminated
3. Phone goes dark - All lights turn off
I just want the phone to go dark and charge and put my profile to silent during the times I have set up. I like the phone dimming but it's still a little too bright for me at night. Can anyone help or suggest what I can do?
I just bought a MicroSD car for my Bold 9700 but when i connect it to the slot, it doesnt seem to be connecting to my phone. Any help? ive also been battery pulling to see if it would connect
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a great at&t 9700 today which i tested before i paid for. I got home and noticed the sim card was tough to get in and i forced it. Doing this broke a contact point off in the sim socket giving initialization failed message. I took the phone apart trying to come up with a fix of my own...... no success
-what are my options? i cannot find the main board and the socket is integrated unlike other blackberry models.
-can i buy the main board?
I recently got a bold 9700 replacing my disfunction old bold 9700. The new OS6 makes it so different. I need to read emails in Chinese . I downloaded and installed Blackberry Desktop Software version 6.0 multi-language. When go to Applications, there are only 7 applications listed. I couldn't find the "East Asian Character and Font Suppor" that I used to add to my old bold 9700.

On the old thread it sounded like I have no choice, but that was re: a different type of BB. If anyone knows how to even get into my options to look I'd appreciate it. I've read how other people are getting there - going from the main menu to email settings/options/advanced settings, etc, but I can't find all the "options" I need.

I have just read 5 emails on Google web page and they are still appearing as unread it on my Blackberry. My wife has the iPhone, and it immediately marked messages as read it as well. View 5 Replies View RelatedI was always the frustrated one, seeing leaked OS, but if I want to play with it, I had to sacrifice Chinese reading/writing ability. Well a bit of research got me into finally figuring out how to actually insert Chinese/Other Languages capability into any OS (especially leaked ones!). Mind you this is only for BB 9700. It's actually easier than I think =) Anyway, there are two ways to doing it. Installing it as a separate add-on (Simillar to BB Maps / Password Keeper type RIM app), or installing it with the OS. 100% sure the OS method works, .alx via app loader through DM seems to be a little buggy, still testing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to read and input chinese character on my Bold 9700.Few days ago, I connected my device to the desktop manager and it prompted me to update my device os to V5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147). Ever since then, I am unable to read or input chinese characters.
I've read through the forum, did whichever I can find, and crashed my blackberry a few times as I think I loaded some 3rd party modules. I managed to wipe out the whole device and reload EastAsia pack (which I did at least 3 times) but am still unable to have my chinese characters on.
When I send/recieve an email there is no small check-mark next to the messages with a small "R" for read or "D" for delievered.How do i change this?When i Had my 8900 it had the check mark,is this something that is only on the 9700?

but my problem isn't like the others, cos it didn't show me message like, "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening camera again".
I have an iPhone 3G 3.1.3 . I downloaded Elert successfully and can access the app's configuration page and everything seems fine, but the only time an alert appears is when the mail app is actually open. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck. Any ideas?

When I try to dial either by manually entering phone number or choosing from contacts or choosing form history...it's not working for the first time. When I tap once again it works. It seems that some of the features of the phone are not working correctly for me. have added some contacts (as google contacts) using the 'people' app & linked these contacts to their facebook profiles.Now when i browse my all contacts only a small selection of them show their most recent status update underneath their name. I can view the status updates from the other contacts if i select the person and select 'Updates & Events'. However if i try & do this to the contacts who do show their status updates in the main contact list, it says there are no updates for them.

It's kind of hard to explain but the audio sounds very choppy and it is difficult to hear anything. I've tried a system wipe on the phone and that still didn't do anything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBefore updating my iPhone 4S's software to 5.1 the Bluetooth connected to my vehichle's Bluetooth radio and worked perfectly. Now if I receive or make a call, the Bluetooth connects and rings through, but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Also, my music will no longer play through the vehicle (which worked perfectly before the update). The song title shows up on the vehicle's radio but no audio. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth but nothing seems to help.
PS On a side note, this update made an amazing difference on my battery life on my iPhone 4S. I used to charge my phone every night and have about 40% remaining at the end of the day...now it's about 85% left at the end of the day with the same amount of usage!

I am unable to listen to new voicemail messages unless I first delete it and then go to "Deleted Messages" and then hit the play button to listen to it. I called my Sprint support line and they claimed they fixed it but they are sadly mistaken. I have the 4s at s/w release iOS 5.1

Well the other day I went to use my new headphones on my iPhone4 and the sound was terrible. The sound is distorted and crackly, to get the other speaker to go on I have to put the volume at 100% and that makes my ears bleed lol. I plug the headphone in my computer and they worked fine. I tried another set of headphones on my iPhone and Only sound would come out of one speaker. Same thing happens if I plug it into a stero. Im freaking out bacuse my iPhone is my baby and I have no idea what happen. I have already restored the phone and restarted the device multiple times and still nothing is working.
