My pad will not function. It keeps selecting without my option to select restricting me from doing anything. Device stuck at network connections. Phone keeps turning on/off for mobile connection. Trouble began with simply dialing at random and various other non-selected choices. I feel that the touch pad may be the fault;

Symptoms:
Open Attachment, retrieving attachment starts, I have noticed with a 30k pdf attachment will download and show, not legible though. Very slow.
With a 600k attachment retrieving freezes, have to keep clicking more until download is 100%. Attachment still not displaying correctly, shows just white screen.
I am facing the same issue on my 5 day old 9900. The touch screen just stopped working on the 2nd day & it has come up since then. I have tried the following to correct the issue but, no success:
1. Cold Reboot (Pull battery when device is on)
2. Simple Reboot (Pull battery when device is OFF)
3. Remove battery then, SIM & SD Card, plug in battery then pull it again & put everything back in
None of these worked, my OS version is v7.0.0.261 Bundle 1346 Platform 5.0.0.464 Should I update my phone software? Each time I try to check for an upgrade it says you have the latest one.
Its been just 2 months since the purchase and the touch screen has started acting up. It stops responding to touch and the phone has to be shut, battery taken out, phone restarted and then the touch screen starts responding. This happens atleast once a day and I'm getting fed up of this.

So i turned them on and it seems to work fine via MMS to phones that are on my same network (ATT) but the other phones i sent it to only said D for Delivered. And i know its read because i got responses. Ideas? Second, there is a delivery option for SMS but that one doesnt seem to work at all.

Bolt works for me but browser does not. I can't even change my default browser to browser anymore or even change it to bolt. It just gives me option of hotspot and web2go. How do I fix this problem? Going to HRT and registering still will not give me my browser back or the option to pick it as default browser like I previously had.

The film on my scroll button has peeled off partially - I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it not working properly. The scroll button does respond to my touch, but barely. My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my Motorola Droid for about 3 months now, bought it new from an overstock dealer on ebay, sealed box and clean MEID.
The phone has been working PERFECTLY up until now, where now the touch screen suddenly does not respond at all. I can see the phone is working fine; the keyboard works, volume and power button works, I can see all the icons running, the time changes, everything. Taking out the battery never works. I did a hard reset and had the touch screen working a few times, but it's really hit or miss. It eventually reverts back to not working.
Again as I said, I have tried hard resets, safe mode, taking the battery out and letting it sit, took the SD card out, formatted the SD card, everything.
This all seems highly unusual, I have craddled this thing since i've gotten it to be sure I do not damage it. It is in pristine condition in every respect. I have no way to replace it since I am with an independent phone company.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia X3-02. I had a problem with the camera, each time I open it it says "Operation Failed" then goes to standby mode. I tried to restore it to factory settings, didn't work. I connected it to the Ovi Suit to check for updates, is said "There are no updates" and something like "If you are experiencing problems with the current version, you can reinstall it" so I did. I followed the steps, made the backup, waited for a while, then when the reinstall process was done, the touch screen wasn't working anymore, the keypad is working fine, the volume up/down buttons are working, everything is working except the touch screen. Its not responding! I tried to reinstall again. Still the same. I tried to reinstall, without doing a backup.
