I have a problem with my z2 with dialer app which is not working correctly. When I try to dial either by manually entering phone number or choosing from contacts or choosing form history...it's not working for the first time. When I tap once again it works. Then I can call anyone without problem but after changing app or returning to main desktop situation happens again.

The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files.This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??
My Xperia Mini Pro was fine, then one morning i woke up and the touch screen wasn't working correctly. It had massive dead spots which made things like flicking through the menus impossible, or selecting button that were in a certain place. The weird thing is I think these dead spots are random and change around. Also it would feel like was getting an input from other parts of the screen at the same time, like as if somelse was touching it too.
For example it would keep doing that overview of all your widgets randomly. The problem isn't as bad as it was originally, but is still very unusable. I did some service tests to give you an idea of what was going on. I tried the tests like 30 seconds after each other, and one had a clear dead spot and the other completely fine. It seems totally random. I've tried repairing it with PC Companion, everything is set to how it was when I bought it, and still that had no affect.
Before i updated the phone software, i avoid it by using the contacts bar home screen theme; the contact button and dialer seem to work only in that layout, which i didn't mind. But now, after the update, and since there no other way to access the dialer im kinda screwed...$300 phone with no that can't dial how embarrassing
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am in a call, the dialer stays on like I have set it to. However, it intermittently refuses to accept the tones. For example, with AT&T VM, it says press 7 to delete the message. I press 7, the phone makes the tone associated with 7, but doesn't do the action associated with 7. It will do it with other phone trees too, like "press 1 for English", etc. The numbers that don't work vary as well, and sometimes it works fine.

It seems that some of the features of the phone are not working correctly for me. have added some contacts (as google contacts) using the 'people' app & linked these contacts to their facebook profiles.Now when i browse my all contacts only a small selection of them show their most recent status update underneath their name. I can view the status updates from the other contacts if i select the person and select 'Updates & Events'. However if i try & do this to the contacts who do show their status updates in the main contact list, it says there are no updates for them.

It's kind of hard to explain but the audio sounds very choppy and it is difficult to hear anything. I've tried a system wipe on the phone and that still didn't do anything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBefore updating my iPhone 4S's software to 5.1 the Bluetooth connected to my vehichle's Bluetooth radio and worked perfectly. Now if I receive or make a call, the Bluetooth connects and rings through, but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Also, my music will no longer play through the vehicle (which worked perfectly before the update). The song title shows up on the vehicle's radio but no audio. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth but nothing seems to help.
PS On a side note, this update made an amazing difference on my battery life on my iPhone 4S. I used to charge my phone every night and have about 40% remaining at the end of the day...now it's about 85% left at the end of the day with the same amount of usage!

Well the other day I went to use my new headphones on my iPhone4 and the sound was terrible. The sound is distorted and crackly, to get the other speaker to go on I have to put the volume at 100% and that makes my ears bleed lol. I plug the headphone in my computer and they worked fine. I tried another set of headphones on my iPhone and Only sound would come out of one speaker. Same thing happens if I plug it into a stero. Im freaking out bacuse my iPhone is my baby and I have no idea what happen. I have already restored the phone and restarted the device multiple times and still nothing is working.

Every time I try to unlock my phone with my finger, it keeps saying try again and have to put my passcode.
Then I go to settings to delete the fingerprint and create a new one. So then I let it read my finger, after resting my finger on the home button. After lifting and resting my finger on the home button for about 10-13 times, I get this error every single time. What can I do to fix it? I keep drying my hands and cleaning the home button but that doesn't . On the first day I got the phone, it worked perfectly but in about a few weeks, it's not working correctly.

I have my preferred connections setup with my home WLAN as priority, then my cell phone provider (ATT) as the last priority. The connection manager switches from my WLAN to ATT everytime I go out of range of my WLAN fully automatically. So that part is working as designed. The problem is when I get back to my home WLAN the connection manager doesn't automatically drop the EDGE or 3G connection and connect to my WLAN.
To make things worse, even if I kill the EDGE or 3G connection manually, it may or may not pick up my WLAN and start using it. Then, if I can get the WLAN to connect, the connection manager will insist on connecting to the EDGE/3G connection and disconnecting the WLAN. This is crazy behavior. I've been pretty happy with the phone's stability over my old N78, but I hope to Zeus that a Firmware upgrade will be release that fixes this bug. It drives me nuts........................
I have updated the latest firmware (1600.2487.8107.12070) just a week back. Even now the battery backup is not good enough as boasted by your team. The battery does not even last for 8 hrs. This is the first time am facing such a poor battery backup for a Nokia Device. Though the call end issue is resolved in this update, the proximity sensor issue still remains. The screen blanks out when the proximity sensor is activated while calling and has to be activated again to bring back the normal screen.
Steps to reproduce this issue:
1. Make a call
2. Take the handset near your ear (The proximity sensor is activated now)
3. Move it from your ear (The proximity sensor is deactivated now, but the screen is still blank)
4. Again take it near your ear and release it again (The screen is visible now)
On my 9700 i found the option. So i turned them on and it seems to work fine via MMS to phones that are on my same network (ATT) but the other phones i sent it to only said D for Delivered. And i know its read because i got responses. Ideas? Second, there is a delivery option for SMS but that one doesnt seem to work at all.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a seidio extended battery for my phone and had the seidio doc which is horrible and I recommend to no one. It's built cheap and can break very easy. The metal charging prongs on the seidio doc just broke so I switched over to my normal blackberry bold doc.The problem is when I charge my phone I get a ton of different things that happen. I have my phone set up to enter bedtime mode and turn my profile to silent during certain hours when the phone is plugged in to charge. During these times the phone will always enter bedtime mode but three different things happen:
1. Phone dims and displays a clock
2. Screen light stays on and keyboard is illuminated
3. Phone goes dark - All lights turn off
I just want the phone to go dark and charge and put my profile to silent during the times I have set up. I like the phone dimming but it's still a little too bright for me at night. Can anyone help or suggest what I can do?
Today, I made a call in my truck (2013 F-150) using bluetooth and the Sync system and it was super quiet. I had the volume on the phone all the way up, and the radio in the truck was turned up where it normally is. I later tried another call, to another person, and it was the same issue. I deleted the connection, both on the phone and in the truck and set it up again like it was new. It seems like it may have worked, but hard to tell, since I am just sitting in my driveway and it's to late to really call people to test it.

I have an iPhone 4 through Sprint. Yesterday I purchased a ringtone through iTunes on the phone, and assigned it to 1 contact. It shows as being assigned to that contact, however, when I get a call from that person, the default ringtone plays. I've since synced with iTunes on the computer, but I can't figure out why the assigned ringtone won't play.

I just recently started having a problem in the Gallery when it comes adding pictures to albums. Whenever I try adding a picture to an album I get an error that says "Sorry - The application Gallery (process com.motorola.gallery) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." The only option I have is to force close, no report option. I have tried shutting down the phone and rebooting it and the problem is still occurring. I also have done a full system scan using the antivirus app, Lookout. No problems showed up on the scan. I have also done a hard reset (removing the battery)

Kies recently updated firmware on my SII & loaded kies update to PC as well. Now when I sync with outlook 2007 it sets all meeting times to start & finish at the same time on the phone. So apt created in outllook to start say 8am & finish 10am. Sync then puts it in phone calendar but set start AND finish to 8am. I rely on this so really need it fixed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy issue is this, I cannot "fast forward" a video during playback. I can select a "fast forward" spot in the video using the slider or control panel but as soon as I let go it reverts back to where it was before (usually the beginning). The really weird part is when I download a player app it initially works, it did this trying RockPlayer, GeekVideo, BSPlayer and others, but as soon as I exit and re-start the apps they revert back to this behavior. My videos are 2.5 hours long and I need the ability to start, and re-start them at differnt points.
I tried MoboPlayer and it behaved the same. I noticed that the file type that does not work is the .WMV, the .MP4's work as they should.
Is this an issue with 2.3.6 that would be fixed if I go back to 2.3.5? I did not see any posts on the internet about this specific issue so I am confused. I received my RAZR MAXX a few days ago. I did the OTA update to 2.3.6 before checking this issue on 2.3.5.I am not rooted or modified in any way.I do not have this problem with the same applications with .WMV files on my old DX running GB 2.3.3 or my tablet running HC 3.2.1
