So I just purchased the BB Bold 9650 last wednesday and I have a quick question. The LED flashes red when I get a new message but if I check back 10 minuter later without reading the message it doesn't flash anymore. How do I keep the LED flashing red until the message is read?
View 8 RepliesI use E66 and E52 phones. When I receive a new message, notification light starts flashing on both phones. It is OK. But... I often use Nokia PC Suite for managing my messages. When I read all new messages on E66, notification light automatically changes its self from flashing mode to "breathing". It's fine. But it doesn't work on my E52. When I read all new messages, notification light is still flashing (no "breathing"!) on E52. I read manual and I know that it is necessary to use my phone directly to stop flashing. Why (if all messages has been read)? I think, it correct works on E66. What is the problem? I use latest version of firmware and Nokia PC Suite (not OVI Suite!). I contacted Nokia HelpDesk, but they told me something like "it is not a bug, it is a feature".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a VZW Bold 9650 and I am having a "random reset" issue with my blackberry. Out of nowhere (often just sitting running no programs) my device restarts itself. Sometimes it just gives me a blank white screen and restarts, other times I get an actual error message in that white screen - but it disappears in 0.1 sec, so there is no way to read it. Because the resets are random, I can't emulate them to try to get a picture for example.
Is there a way to read that error message after the device finishes restarting (like an error log of sorts)?
General advice on how to fix this error would also be welcomed (though I think that if I can read the error message, it will be easier to narrow down the cause). I would rather not do a full wipe since I am out of network for now and will be for the next month or so.
More details: Originally VZW, but unlocked (by VZW) to use with other carriers. Currently. Crazy John's in Australia OS6 All programs work well (though my GPS has been weird and often takes 5 min. to find my location)
I just download whatsapp messenger and try it. but after receiving a message, the LED notification was flashing continuosly, even after I read the message and delete ithow, as my battery will drained if the LED is always flashing.I already set the LED notification to OFF in the setting menu, but when I received the message from whatsapp it start to flashing RED again

hidden folders, mark prior opened, using the Backup & Restore off of DM to erase the SMS messages
resending the service books.
It's not on the messages, but the SMS & MMS Message tab. And it's not just one, it says 22. And it's really annoying. Any ideas?
After I get a text message or an email, the set ring tone sounds and the light indicator flashes. After I read the message and save or delete it the message light still flashes. Why is this and why won't the light stop flashing? The only way I can get it to stop flashing is take the battery out and put it back in. Verizon is my carrier and it is a Verizon 9650 phone.

I already get a vm symbol showing me I have vm but i get a text message too? How can i go in and disable? I have tried going into profiles but nothing seems to work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a weird glitch that no one (including tech support at Verizon) seems to be able to figure out. I have a gmail account set up on my Bold 9650 and everything works properly EXCEPT that I cannot get it to show me the message count of unread messages (which usually should show up in parenthesis when I scroll over the account envelope icon). It seems that this is an issue with the Bold 9650 in particular because I have gotten the gmail unread message count to work on other blackberry devices, but not my (or another friend's) Bold 9650.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an errant "unopened" mail icon, It was on my old BlackBerry (an 8830) and when I got my new BlackBerry 9650, all was good, until I completed my enterprise synchronization, and guess what came back? now heres the rub, it shows (and as it did before) That it is a "Optimum on Line" email, not the email that is pushed by my enterprise server. So neither tech support will own the problem.

With the 9650, the song pauses, and then the message alert sound comes out of the speaker instead of the headphones, then the music resumes. Is there a setting I am missing here?

Lately there has been an issue with the lock screen not updating the time and some of the message alerts don't appear, until I unlock the phone. This is not the keyboard lock, but the lock that requires a password (corporate IT policy).Is there a way to fix this? The time is set to auto-update from the network. This started a few weeks ago and is very annoying. Sometimes it will update while locked if I activate the screen and let it sit for a minute but other times it won't at all while locked.Anyone else having this issue?

The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?

I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.
