I updated my Blackberry Bold 9650 from os 5 to os 6. From then when I turn data on soon after my phone is getting restarted with the error message 348(RESET). Its happening very frequently. If I turn data OFF, my phone is working well.

This is my very first post so please excuse me if I have posted my question/problem in the wrong section.My wife and I have VERY recently bought new Blackberry Bold 9650 phones, they are our very first smartphones. My wife loves to read so I went to the Blackberry App World and downloaded the app FREEBOOKS on her phone, the app itself installed just fine but every time I try to download a book for her, and even sometimes just SEARCHING for a book, it will give me an error message that reads

error while attempting to fulfill
your request: "CONNECTION TIMED OUT".
Can someone PLEASE possibly help with this problem OR direct me to the correct section that can assist me. I have been to my Verizon store and they were absolutely NO help after waiting for over an hour.
Woke up today with my phone not switching on but having just the error message, APP ERROR 606 - RESET. I have tried to find a solution on website but to no avail.
What is this error message about and how do I make my phone working again?
I turned my phone on and it comes up with a white screen with the above message. I have tried taking the battery out but just comes back up with that message. When I try and connect my handset to desktop manager it states that it can't find device. I have tried to reset following instructions on here for the apploader but it wont work and comes up with the following ' The Blackberry Desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer'.

hidden folders, mark prior opened, using the Backup & Restore off of DM to erase the SMS messages
resending the service books.
It's not on the messages, but the SMS & MMS Message tab. And it's not just one, it says 22. And it's really annoying. Any ideas?
After I get a text message or an email, the set ring tone sounds and the light indicator flashes. After I read the message and save or delete it the message light still flashes. Why is this and why won't the light stop flashing? The only way I can get it to stop flashing is take the battery out and put it back in. Verizon is my carrier and it is a Verizon 9650 phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my own URL which has mail boxes associated with it which my family and I use for our personal email. The URL/Mailboxes are hosted by GoDaddy. Beginning overnight night before last I stopped receiving email from my personal/primary email account on my BB, email is still downloading to Outlook on my PC. I have two other email accounts that I receive emails on setup on my BB, I tested both and they are both working. I have tried a number of things to no avail. They include:Battery Pull Send test email Check BIS site to see if email address needed re-validation. NOT! Resend Service Books Send test email Re-register on network via Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table <It was suggested that I would find a "Blackberry Key" in the Host Routing Table but didn't find it. I pressed the BB key and selected "Register Now". I got a message that my device had been registered on the network. Resend Servcie Books Send test email That was last night. This morning I had received one email overnight, interestingly it was the same email I recieved the night before. (It is a morning devotional the I get daily. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something?) I tried another test email, no go.
I then logged into BIS again, I re-entered my password for my account, then in looking at the "Advanced Options" I noticed again that the mail server is a RIM server. I tried to change it to my mail server, the one I use in Outlook, which is a POP3 protocol server. It would not take. I tried to change the server from IMAP to POP3, thinking that the reason for non acceptance was a difference in protocols, but could find no way to do that.The server reset back to the RIM server, and I saved with the re-entered password. I then resent the Service Books again and then sent a test email which again didn't work.I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have, the end of the rope is in sight.Sorry for such a long email, didn't know how else to give enough info to show what had been done.
I already get a vm symbol showing me I have vm but i get a text message too? How can i go in and disable? I have tried going into profiles but nothing seems to work.

I have a gmail account set up on my Bold 9650 and everything works properly EXCEPT that I cannot get it to show me the message count of unread messages (which usually should show up in parenthesis when I scroll over the account envelope icon). It seems that this is an issue with the Bold 9650 in particular because I have gotten the gmail unread message count to work on other blackberry devices, but not my (or another friend's) Bold 9650.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an errant "unopened" mail icon, It was on my old BlackBerry (an 8830) and when I got my new BlackBerry 9650, all was good, until I completed my enterprise synchronization, and guess what came back? now heres the rub, it shows (and as it did before) That it is a "Optimum on Line" email, not the email that is pushed by my enterprise server. So neither tech support will own the problem.

I have attempted doing a nokia software updater firmware update and it confirms i'm on the latest firmware (10.2010.19.1) and i've used the app updater and updated all apps. It has happened before i enabled the extras-devel repository, so I doubt the fault lies there.
Since i restarted the device prior to running "cat /proc/bootreason" i can't find out the reason why it rebooted, but i will update this post as soon as it does it again.
I recieved this phone from Optus Australia, and is running a number of apps from both the ovi store and the app manager. The only apps i have installed from the extras-devel repository are unrar and unzip apps, although i did note that it updated a few other apps at the same time, like flashlight.
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently moved to Michigan from California, and the time settings on my blackberry automatically changed to Eastern Time (-5). However, whenever I receive an SMS (no problems with BBM/MMS), the timestamp for the received SMS in the conversation is 3 hours earlier than the actual/device time. This is a problem only inside the conversation; when I go back to the main Messages or SMS folder, the timestamp of the last received/sent message next to the contact's name is correct. Is there any way to fix this aside from doing a complete wipe? I tried rebooting and manually changing the date/time; didn't help.
