Like many of you , I'm having WiFi connection problems with my new BB9700.When I am out of the house, I can see my BB finding local WiFI hotspots and I can connect to them immediately. However, when I get home, my BB doesn't connect to my WiFi, returning the following error message: Unable to Connect Reason: Failed to obtain an IP address I have downloaded the latest BB software (now running version 5.0.0.351), cold booted everything in sight (router, phone, coffee table and the cat) but still get the same error. My foot hurts, the cat isn't talking to me and I still cannot connect at home ! Of course my Carrier's connection works perfectly as does their outrageous fee structure... (They are 3G, or Hutchinson Telecom by another name.)My WiFi service provider (PCCW / Netvigator Hong Kong) has checked the setup of my system and reports that everything is working correctly. I can connect my PS3, my laptop, my Nokia E71 without any problem and the hotline guy can see when I connect each of them to the system.I have tried different combinations of switching the usual options on and off on the BB but still can't get a connection.
I've only had it a couple of weeks and it has now started turning itself off during calls. So far this hasn't happened at any other time, only during calls.
I'm trying to connect via bluetooth my bold 9000 to my 9790.I can pair them Ok, I can access from the menu "connect" on my 9000, but not on my 9790. When I try to connect from my 9000 (as I don't have a choice) I get prompted on the 9790, but when I accept, I get a "connection to blackberry 9790 failed" on the 9000 screen.Weirder, if from the 9000 I try to transfer contacts, it tranfers only the fist contact from my list, even though I enabled the "all contacts" for both devices.
My blackberry bold9790 wasworking this week. since tuesday the internet no longer works. When i check my connection, it says "A network error. please try again"
Bold 9790, running 7.0.0.609. Desktop Software 7.1.0.32. Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1Per the subject, I cannot connect my 9790 to the Desktop Software via Bluetooth. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software (with a reboot inbetween) with success. When pairing the phone with Windows, it detects and attempts to install 3 drivers. The only one that is successful is the modem profile. No other drivers are installed. The Desktop Software does not see the phone. If I attempt to install the phone through the Desktop Software initially, it will see the phone, however the same problem occurs with the drivers.I should also note that the phone is set to always connect to the PC.
My picture files turned to .jpg.rem and I cannot open the pictures, they said that the picture files was encrypted and that I need to decrypt the pictures, I saw the post that telling me to transfer the pictures to other folder to decrypt it and I got this message "failed to decrypt padding byte out of range"
I just bought a Nexus 6 phone recently. I tried connecting to the Wi-Fi where I work but it keeps saying Authentication Problem beside the WiFi name and will not connect. I just updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 thinking this would work but I am still having this issue. I don't want to have to use my data whilst at work all the time!
out of a sudden..my bold 9790 switch itself off...then when i tried to switch it on again, it won't start..i've tried charging the battery and few attempts to switch it on by pressing the power button, it just would not start...then i tried to connect it to my Pc usinf blackberry desktop, i would not detect.

I have downloaded the Opera Mini from Blackberry AppWorld for a Blackberry 9790. It was fine and working for a day or two, but now it would not launch, saying that it is "unable to connect. Please review your network settings". What am I supposed to do in this situation?
ive went to the wifi setting properties. then, the problem comes after i selected "scan for network" and selected my wifi network name. then, it requested me to insert a PIN into my router. how do i do that?
I wanted to download the update via the wireless network. I have the upgrade icon on the homescreen of my 9900 (virgin contract). However, my wireless will not connect I am getting either 'network lost' or just failed to connect. I have ran diagnostics and all is fine but when I go to device < device and status info and run network test from there get this:Radio activation: failSignal level: -77 dbmRadio access: UMTSNetwork: T-Mobile UKIP Address: 0.0.0.0All email accounts passed and when viewing the certificates of available network it says amazon mp3, untrusted cert chain, stale chain status, private key on device.I have resent sevice books and each time I run diagnostics or test I get the Blackberry 'your device has been registered with the wireless network' notification.
I connected my blackberry to my home wifi network but now every time I return home the phone doesn't connect automatically. I have to pull the battery and restart the phone then it will connect automatically. I don't have any mobile service at my house and am dependent on using UMA over wifi to receive calls so I'd like to get this sorted.
I have a Bold 9900 on Orange UK running os7.1 official release. The problem I am having is that when I am connected to a wifi network for wifi calling when I try to browse the internet it will not always allow me and says that its "unable to connect to server. I just went overseas for a few days and I was able to connect to the WIFI network with my Data Services option as 'Off' because I have a 3G plan and I didn't want to get charged for 3G overseas as it's more expensive. However after I connected to the WIFI I couldn't do any browsing. It says 'A communication failure has occurred. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider'
am using a Blackberry internet service from M1, singapore provider. To manage the data usage, I turn off the data plan in Set up mobile network, but then I also cannot the internet by wifi. Why is that?By the way, how can I manage the data usage? I want to use the service plan when I need to minimize the data usage, because I only have 1gb for free a month.
I currently have the blackberry bold 9700 for tmobile.I can connect to my home network but i cant use apps such as the facebook app or the IM+ app or any social networking apps of that sort.Whenever i do try, it says you need a mobile carrier internet connection or a wifi connection. I have a white signal(showing im connected) to my home network but nothing will work.
I will be going on vacation and to avoid the ridiculous roaming data charges, was wondering how I can connect to BIS over wifi? I have a BB data plan with my carrier (Rogers). I just want to be able to receive e-mails and use BBM when I'm connected via wifi while I'm away. I'm guessing that if I set "Data Services" to On and "While Roaming" to Off, under Mobile Network Options, this would NOT work, correct? Or am I mistaken?
