I am using a new Bold 9700 with 5.0 software. Everytime I try to load the BlackBerry App world, it says I have an unsupported phone. any one know why ? and how I can add Appworld to my 9700 ?

I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but all of a sudden I get a message saying: This device does not support Why? I am in South Africa. App World IS supported here, at least for free apps. I had it, all my family and friends have it, so I know it works in South Africa. Why can I suddenly not download App World?

I downloaded it and i get an error message which is as follows (upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing and discover a world of possibilties at BlackBerry App World. Contact your service provider for more details). I have the blackberry personal plan, I can browse the internet, but the app world still wont work. I know its not a location issue because my coworker has the Bold 9000 and the same plan as me and his works fine. I have also tried unistalling and reinstalling the app, hard shock etc etc. So what the heck is the issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing.What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless.After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??

I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. View 8 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.

If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
