I am in HK using the 3 network. I can do everything but seems that I can't not download the BB Apps World from the site. I am using V5.0.0.351 and its that it is not supported. The site says that it only requires a V4.7 or higher but I don't seems to be able to download it.
View 6 RepliesWhen I got my 9700 Bold I downloaded App World and it worked perfectly. A few days ago it stopped working, it kept freezing. I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but all of a sudden I get a message saying: This device does not support Why? I am in South Africa. App World IS supported here, at least for free apps. I had it, all my family and friends have it, so I know it works in South Africa. Why can I suddenly not download App World?

"blackberry app world:research in motion limited" contains a different verion of "module net_rim_bb_appworld_usb" which is also used by "blackberry app world." If you procees blackberry app world may cease to fucntion properly.
I upgraded my BB in December and since then I've not been able to download anything from the app world, it keeps telling me 'unable to log in'.I've been in contact with Orange since then and have been told that they can no longer help with solving this issue, I'm starting to lose my patience with the whole thing now as I can't even get hold of an contact email address to try and solve my issue. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have owned a Black Bold 9700 for a while now and about 2 months ago I switched to a White 9700. I would always get at least one day out of my battery in my black 9700. And I was with my white 9700 as well until about 2 weeks ago.I rarely talk on my phone but I am a heavy user with BBM, text and email and a bit with Facebook which I know uses a lot of battery... I have about 90 contacts on BBM and use it constantly everyday -- chatting with 4 to 5 ppl at a time constantly. However, I'm lucky if my battery lasts from 11am until 5pm anymore. I have tried about 3 different batteries and they all have the same issue. I just upgraded my software from .743 to .862 last night.
And I switched over to a brand new OEM battery 2 days ago. I charged my phone overnight and powered it on at 11am and now at 2:14pm I'm sitting at 75% battery life.I don't have many apps on my phone besides Facebook and Weather Eye. The only apps I ever have running everyday are the ones that have to be running constantly (BBM, Phone, Browser, Messages). I rarely even browse the internet and I don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled. However, I am always running on 3G.
I keep getting that error when I try and download anything from the blackberry app store. I have tried deleted the app world app and installing it again from my phone or installing it from my computer but I still get the same problem and its quite annoying as well. My phone software version is 7.0 bundle 2406 (v7.0.0.585,Platform 5.0.0.734)

I also try to use other apps and things don't load at all. I am on T-Mobile pay as you go but I get free internet.

I downloaded it and i get an error message which is as follows (upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing and discover a world of possibilties at BlackBerry App World. Contact your service provider for more details). I have the blackberry personal plan, I can browse the internet, but the app world still wont work. I know its not a location issue because my coworker has the Bold 9000 and the same plan as me and his works fine. I have also tried unistalling and reinstalling the app, hard shock etc etc. So what the heck is the issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing.What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless.After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??

I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

I have downloaded and replaced the existing version. I have re-booted by taking the battery out, etc. The software is in my applications. I have gone through every folder clicking on show all also.

When I hover on them and then click them the phone doesn't open them and stays on the home screen. but when I go and see the background application list, it shows them on. I have tried to wipe the phone and hard reset it but nothing came up.

Well I guess the Android platform has just about got that problem licked. They are just around the corner from letting this jewel out. The people from Google said it may be just a "little" slower but will be very usable. The response I received from the forum was that the 9700 had plenty of storage for as many apps as you needed and still operate fast. Agreed but what will happen with the new OS and this great browser around the corner arrives. Many of the phones won't be able to use the new OS because of memory problems so that tells me that it may slow down the 9700 if too many apps are loaded. That is where the ability to save and run apps from memory card will be needed. Android put it together very fast why the **** can't Rim or some company put one together that works?
