View 5 Replies View RelatedI have got a curve 8900 (V.5.0.0.592 - Plate-forme 5.2.0.58) and I am currently facing a problem with blackberry app world.When I try to download BB appworld via my device, I receive the following notification : "Désolé, votre appariel ne prend pas en charge Blackberry appworld pour le moment" => in UK : "Sorry, your device does not support Blackberry appworld for the moment".
I meet the requirements and I already had installed and used app world in the past... and it has dissapeared, obviously after having made updates and/or having moved the icon from one folder to another.I then decided to reinstall the application, but as mentioned above, without any results.
I don't know what it is, but there's a new yellow "world" icon on top of my bb9700 with the number "1" next to it. I have no idea what it is-- I have tried everything to delete it because it's annoying me. What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my 9700 Bold I downloaded App World and it worked perfectly. A few days ago it stopped working, it kept freezing. I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but all of a sudden I get a message saying: This device does not support Why? I am in South Africa. App World IS supported here, at least for free apps. I had it, all my family and friends have it, so I know it works in South Africa. Why can I suddenly not download App World?

I am using V5.0.0.351 and its that it is not supported. The site says that it only requires a V4.7 or higher but I don't seems to be able to download it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got the new 9700 and everything works except the app world. Personal email works, blackberry messenger works, just not the app world. I downloaded it and i get an error message which is as follows (upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing and discover a world of possibilties at BlackBerry App World. Contact your service provider for more details). I have the blackberry personal plan, I can browse the internet, but the app world still wont work. I know its not a location issue because my coworker has the Bold 9000 and the same plan as me and his works fine. I have also tried unistalling and reinstalling the app, hard shock etc etc. So what the heck is the issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing.What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless.After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??

I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
Is there any map application with compass supported. I hate using goolge map - No compass. I hate bbmap no vietnam's map support
