I just gotten a new BB Bold 9700 and I wanted to d/l BB App World into my BB.
When I use the d/l from computer method, it mentions that my device's is not supported and does not meet system requirements! I've also tried to d/l it from my phone but to no avail as the page cannot be proceed.
It seems that I have to go to app world to get apps via the mobile internet. It came up with said message:"Device does not meet system requirements needed to support app world"And I have the blackberry desktop software on my pc and it's plugged into blackberry but it says "no updates available"

However there is no bb app world on it at the minute and as I just tried to download it from google I get the message 'your device does not meet the system requirements to support bb app world'. After I have restored the device from BlackBerry Desktop, none of my downloaded apps are there. I have a brand new 9860 , running Bundle 7.1. I launch App World. It tells me to upgrade. When I follow the screen upgrades, I reach an error message : Notice: Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BB App World. I have a brand new phone so first question...can I upgrade App World over Wi-FI. or do I have to get a Data Plan from my Telco first ? I have been running my old phone fine with no Data plan but enjoying BBM and Cell use.

For a long time I had just accepted it was gone and continued using my BB but last night I reinstalled it and then attempted to install/upgrade my current BB Facebook to the newer nicer version but it was telling me I my blackberry didn't meet the system requirements for it. I tried to do some research about it and came up with nothing, could anyone help?My Blackberry is a Curve 8520 and my OS is 4.6(I have tried to search for a new OS but it says no updates available)

When I go to twitter to download the blackberry app it gives me a notice."Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones."
I don't use twitter that much, but would like it installed in case I do. It's really not my main concern, my main concern is that this is a bigger issue that I need to get resolved before I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work like it's supposed to and won't be able to run other apps. Any ideas? I'm still running the original OS.
Started to prepare for installation of the new Belle for my N8-00 but during step 2 of the installation (back up) a red expression mark appears telling me that "there is not enough space on the computer. Minimum requirement is 1,5GB on the e: drive. Please delete or move 0 MB from \e-enheten" (direct translation from Swedish version of Nokia suite, please see attached pic). I successfully made a back up using the common steps earlier today.The issue is that I don't even have an e-drive on my computer. C: is there (of course) then a whole bunch of network drives from my office network (F: ->X but no e: The only e-drive I have is the one on the phone and there I have enough space available.I have the latest version of Nokia suite btw (3.3.86).

I have updated it to the latest software available and it still says that my BlackBerry does not meet the system requirements.Has anyone got any suggestions?I am with 3 and I have the BlackBerry Browser and email package on it too ... also there is no option for me to set up my hotmail account on the system it is only allowing me to use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server account.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWas happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail! What should I try to get it back to 100%?

I have got a curve 8900 (V.5.0.0.592 - Plate-forme 5.2.0.58) and I am currently facing a problem with blackberry app world.When I try to download BB appworld via my device, I receive the following notification : "Désolé, votre appariel ne prend pas en charge Blackberry appworld pour le moment" => in UK : "Sorry, your device does not support Blackberry appworld for the moment".
I meet the requirements and I already had installed and used app world in the past... and it has dissapeared, obviously after having made updates and/or having moved the icon from one folder to another.I then decided to reinstall the application, but as mentioned above, without any results.
I now go to the my world section of appworld and it says no downloads. I am very unhappy about that. Thankfully I was able to find most of the apps I downloaded in the download folder, but one of them reset and I don't have the activation code or the record that I bought that particular app since my world has no record of it.

I have a new Blackberry Curve (8330) due to a warranty issue. I changed my device PIN via Blacberry BIS - Verizon, and all my email accounts function fine. However, I had a few applications on BB App World that do not show up in "my account" in BB App World. Is there something else I need to do to get these apps showing on my device.

I bought this phone 5 months back. I had detected the problems it was giving me, from the start itself. It had a problem with the display. It used to go blink away, all by its own or even restart. Recently, the problem had aggravated and there was some other proble. This used to happen whenever I connected my uSB device to my cell and m pc. My wouldn't detect it and the msg would appear on the cell's screen reading, "Unsupported USB device..I went to Nokia Care. After 8 days of service I got my cell back with software upgraded and the problems taken car of. After almost less than a week the message of 'UNSUPPORTED DEVICE' has started to appear on the screen, which means there's certainly a problem with the device itself.

A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?
Not sure if it has been covered in other threads but I couldn't find any. Will frequent installing and uninstalling apps for trying out leave junk (files and settings) in the iPhone? Like Windows uninstall, it will leave files and registry settings in the system. Over time, the system will run slower with lots of junk in it. Since some apps with expiry date, it must leave something behind to keep track of when it will expire. Besides installing apps on iPhone, any other good way to test drive new apps? I want try out many new apps but also want to leave my new iPhone as "clean" as possible.
