I have installed OVI PC suite on my laptopwith windows 7. After successful installation of suite, when i connect my N900 with laptop, it gives an error your device is not supported.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble connecting fully my N900 to my laptop using the PC Suite software again.I got my phone earlier this month and i managed to connect the phone to the laptop then with no problem, however, yesterday, i reinstalled my windows xp like i do every few months and installed the nokia pc suite to my laptopn and now i am unable to transfer any media files i.e. music, films and such to my phone.i dont get this at all as the pc suite connects to the phone fine as it shows my calendar too and the image of my phone but everytime i transfer some files through Transfers videos section it doesnt recognise any phone. I usually add those media files through My Computer>Device with Removable Storage as an icon of the phone appears there but thats not even there anymore. I also notice on the bottom of main screen of the pc suite this message:Welcome to PC Suite Unfortunately your device is not fully supported by Nokia PC Suite.I dont know what that means and how to resolved it. I have followed every help/how to guide and FAQ i could find with no luck. I did everything correctly when i connected the phone to the laptop and i have installed and reinstalled the pc suite but again no luck.when i hoover over the phone icon on thre system tray of my laptop i noticed that: N900 (Storage Mode) connected in a non-compatible USB mode. is this the problem?

I have downloaded (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis) from (http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n82/) I also installed "OVI suite" and sent the file to my mobile, but when I send the file Error occures it Says: "nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis is not supported". I bought this device right after Nokia announced that free offline navigation would be available for all current N-series handsets.How come that Ovi Maps is not available for the current N-series flagship? It should not be too hard to port the actual application to Maemo (the current navigation is not that bad - it just needs offline maps).Where can I find the release schedule for Ovi Maps for Maemo?

When I try syncing my Photos, I check on my device and click "All", and it says "You have no photos in this folder in device"...however I have indeed a large no. of images,but none of them are viewable. I am unable to view the images on my device (through OVI Suite)

I have installed Nokia OVI Suite version 2.2.0.245 and attempted to sync my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but I'm having various problems getting the OVI Suite to recognize my device. For the most part, when the program will come up with a message saying "Please change the USB mode on your device to OVI Suite (or PC Suite) USB Mode". Now, I'm already in PC Suite mode but I still disconnect the USB cable and connect it again, selecting the PC Suite mode again on my device. This does not change anything as I still get the same error message. When I don't get this error message, and I try to sync my messages (for example), the application crashes. I'm running windows Vista SP2, and my Nokia 5800 has the latest firmware installed V 31.2.101 (installed today July 7th, 2010) I don't know if this is a known issue and anybody knows how to fix it. if not, I hope the folks at Nokia take note and consider this issue.

I get an error messege on the computer when using mass storage mode that says "failed to install device driver'. I downloaded PC suite and tried PC suite mode. View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone 5 months back. I had detected the problems it was giving me, from the start itself. It had a problem with the display. It used to go blink away, all by its own or even restart. Recently, the problem had aggravated and there was some other proble. This used to happen whenever I connected my uSB device to my cell and m pc. My wouldn't detect it and the msg would appear on the cell's screen reading, "Unsupported USB device..I went to Nokia Care. After 8 days of service I got my cell back with software upgraded and the problems taken car of. After almost less than a week the message of 'UNSUPPORTED DEVICE' has started to appear on the screen, which means there's certainly a problem with the device itself.

I have a nokia E7, which for the most part have been good. Most of the issues i have had with it have been PICNIP's, but now, it's starting to bug me. Some time ago, when the phone was about 6 weeks old, it developed what i assumed to be a hardware bug. No matter what i plugged into the USB port, it told me "USB-device not supported. Remove the unit" and if I press ok it says "error in the USB connection, remove the cable" (I'm translating this from Danish, so this might not be the exact English error code). As the error persisted through a hard reset, i shipped the phone to repairs, where they changed the radio module, where the USB port is soldered to. Now, about a month after i got the phone back, the error has returned. As i doubt i have hit the statistical "faulty unit" lottery twice, i'm starting to wonder if this error is also a "problem in chair, not in phone", so have anyone encountered the same problem? And any ideas how to resolve it?

I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

When I use the d/l from computer method, it mentions that my device's is not supported and does not meet system requirements! I've also tried to d/l it from my phone but to no avail as the page cannot be proceed.
I have converted the mp4 file format, and have set the parameter as below
Video Encode= MPEG4(Xvid)
Video size = 320*240
Bitrate = 480
Frame rate = 29.97
Aspect ratio = 4.3
When I try to transfer the file into my memory stick it load this message "the file type is not supported in this device".
So I'm running Camera Zoom FX on a stock, debloated, rooted rom. It takes pics fine. However when I try to switch to video mode, it says "video switch not supported on this device"
Is there a fix for this? If not, whats another good camera app tha does actually support video.
I got this phone 3 months ago, and it paired with PC Suite perfectly, till few days ago, when i lost connection with it, and now PC Suite and OVI Suite can't find my phone. I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHave a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an E72-2, when i bought it, the phone was without a memory card so i purchased a blank one. Lately i am having repeatedly a message on the screen saying "remove memory card and press ok". I called nokia care and they told me to format the memory card which i did but still having the same problem. I tried backing up, formatting and then restoring many times : still the same. so i emptied every thing from the card : removed installed apps and music files and pictures and used the phone for a couple of days , everything was ok. Now i put back the music files on the card (through usb connection) and re-assigned ringing tones, the problem appears again and the phone is not reading the card (it's there but it's like blank) like it's rejecting it.
My question is : is the problem in the memory card (corrupted, defected) or in the phone? if it's the card I don't want it to damage the phone, should i buy a new one to resolve the problem? At nokia care they told me that just formatting the card will make it as new, is that correct?
I've recently got my E72 and added a bunch of songs on the memory card under Digital Sounds and refreshed the music library, they were all found but some of them have a little key icon next to them and won't play and say that its because of Unknown Content Provider, any idea how i can solve this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got 7510 supernova. I know a lot of people think it doesn't support maps, but:
1. the hard-copy manual that came with the phone talks about a MAPS APP in the Organizer tool!!! HOWEVER, my phone doesn't have it!
2. Ovi Suite has a MAPS tab for my phone!
3. 7510 Supernova is an S40 device, and my other S40 phone, 7610 Supernova, had MAPS APP pre-installed.
I went on Ovi Store and tried downloading Maps App for my phone, but it's "not supported."I downloaded Ovi Maps 2.0 and a couple other map app files available, but when I tried installing each through Ovi Suite, the message was that SIS files are not supported by my phone. What gives? It is an S40, isn't it? If officially the maps app for some very strange reason is not supported, why mention it in the manual??? Is there any way I can still get it installed on my phone at my own risk?
