Every time I compose a message and start typing a bar pops up at the bottom of my screen with the current language on the left and a x on the right to close it. I hit this to close it and get it out of the way but the moment I start typing again its there! I dont find since I have had the phone any use for this annoying pop up so, Is there any way of stopping it?

I have a 9700 with the tmobile network, and sometimes even though i have full 3g coverage my phone, will tell me that my call failed..I will dial a number then experiance a long silence period and then i message will come up on my phone with "call failed". View 5 Replies View RelatedLong story short: A friend of mine was given an unlocked 3G from her cousin that had 3.1.2 on it I'm assuming. She was using it on T-mobile. She accidentally updated to 3.1.3... I tried a few things a few weeks back to reverse that but had no luck. Now, even with an AT&T SIM card, I'm still getting the SIM not supported message in iTunes. The phone is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen, so I can't put it into airplane mode either. I decided to wait until iOS 4 was released to give it another shot. Same thing. I put it into DFU mode, updated to iOS 4, no luck. I'm running 10.6.4, and iTunes 9.2. I know the unlock for iOS 4 hasn't been released yet and that's fine. I just want to get it so she can use the iPhone as an iPod touch for now until iOS 4 is able to be unlocked.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi got this iphone 3g from a friend. He got it for the US from another person. We have no idea what the carrier is or if its factory unlocked or not. The phone was not jailbroken or anything. Then one day my friend updated his iphone 3g to the ios 4.1 which also upgraded his baseband to 06.15.00 so the phone is now locked and no sim here in Bahrain can be used. He asked me if i could unlock it for him so i tried to do so thinking i could use ultrasnow. I jailbroke it first using redsnow 09.6b2 and pointed it on its firmware 4.1 (from iclarified) when it asked for one and the jailbreak went through perfectly.
But then what he forgot to tell me was that there the wifi wasnt working on his phone. There would just be that thing circling next to the connecting to wifi but nothing would show up. So there is no way for me to get into cydia and get the ultrasnow right? So i read thru some forums here and found that the wifi thing is a bug with the ios4 when u update? So i thought of downgrading the phone instead to 3.1.3. When i tried to do that using the full restore where u shift click the restore button and select the 3.1.3 firmware, it was going okay it first but then i got a 1015 error in itunes that the phone cant be restored. So i did the recovery fix (which i was able to succesfully do to another friend's iphone) it almost worked with this one but i coouldnt connect to itunes after coz i get the message:: "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card" This is where i am stuck. I dont even know what firmware the phone is currently in after what i did.

Iphone 5 died last week. Completely dead. Can't be salvaged.  Problems began after software update and the "this accessory" may not be supported error messages and issues. Â
Trying to wait to purchase a replacement after Sept 9th I reactivated a iphone4. Working fine. On a job, using it, put it in my bag, pull it out, its COMPLETELY dead. Will not turn on. Not recognized by itunes, won't turn with any approach. It also had the software update. Â
What in the world?? Â
So now I have two dead phones and two weeks until the 6 comes out.
My phone is brand new and so is the charger and this message is showing up its also showing up on my boyfriends iPhone 3s which is not new?

I bought this phone 5 months back. I had detected the problems it was giving me, from the start itself. It had a problem with the display. It used to go blink away, all by its own or even restart. Recently, the problem had aggravated and there was some other proble. This used to happen whenever I connected my uSB device to my cell and m pc. My wouldn't detect it and the msg would appear on the cell's screen reading, "Unsupported USB device..I went to Nokia Care. After 8 days of service I got my cell back with software upgraded and the problems taken car of. After almost less than a week the message of 'UNSUPPORTED DEVICE' has started to appear on the screen, which means there's certainly a problem with the device itself.

My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia E7, which for the most part have been good. Most of the issues i have had with it have been PICNIP's, but now, it's starting to bug me. Some time ago, when the phone was about 6 weeks old, it developed what i assumed to be a hardware bug. No matter what i plugged into the USB port, it told me "USB-device not supported. Remove the unit" and if I press ok it says "error in the USB connection, remove the cable" (I'm translating this from Danish, so this might not be the exact English error code). As the error persisted through a hard reset, i shipped the phone to repairs, where they changed the radio module, where the USB port is soldered to. Now, about a month after i got the phone back, the error has returned. As i doubt i have hit the statistical "faulty unit" lottery twice, i'm starting to wonder if this error is also a "problem in chair, not in phone", so have anyone encountered the same problem? And any ideas how to resolve it?

I just replaced my **bleep** 5800XM with a N900 (I really love it).Now I wanted to download the "Ovi Map Loader", but the N900 does not show up as a supported device. When I use the d/l from computer method, it mentions that my device's is not supported and does not meet system requirements! I've also tried to d/l it from my phone but to no avail as the page cannot be proceed.
I have converted the mp4 file format, and have set the parameter as below
Video Encode= MPEG4(Xvid)
Video size = 320*240
Bitrate = 480
Frame rate = 29.97
Aspect ratio = 4.3
When I try to transfer the file into my memory stick it load this message "the file type is not supported in this device".
So I'm running Camera Zoom FX on a stock, debloated, rooted rom. It takes pics fine. However when I try to switch to video mode, it says "video switch not supported on this device"
Is there a fix for this? If not, whats another good camera app tha does actually support video.
I have recently purchased a E63 in India. My earlier model was 9500 Communicator. I have transferred all the data from 9500 to E63 and all files etc. are opening properly, except files in the folder 'My Documents' which are 'Word' or 'Excel' files.
Whenever I try to open the file it says "File Format Not Supported".
Ever since I switched to the new OS 6, I cannot send SMS messages to anybody. Here's the problem:
- I send an SMS to various people with different phones
- Various people tell me they cannot read the message, different phones (Nokia, Android) report getting "message format not supported"
- For some reason, only iPhone users can read my SMS
- Sending MMS works, but not SMS
My phone provider is WIND, and I was wondering if this is due to my provider or the new OS? I can only use BBM for so long lol.
