I have upgraded my Ovi Map to the latest FREE version in my 5800XM.and also download the Map data and voice data using Map loader application,but now when I enter the setting of Ovi Map.Under the " Walk navigation".It show me "None".And then when I select it and want to select one item named "Beeps and vibrations".It request me to "download Walk navigation"?
View 3 RepliesI own an E7 and initially it had an option to select Walk for GPS navigation. I found it useful as it gave a short route to my destination.
Now that option has been taken away from Maps and we only have a Drive option and normal Maps which doesnt give route suggestions. The Drive gives only routes where cars are allowed and hence cutting across through a one-way is not given. This is not useful when one is walking.
how the WALK option can be restored to my phone.
Is there a Nokia Walk for Windows Phones? Because Nokia Drive works offline but Nokia Maps with walking direction is not.

This is not walk navigation. I looked up Internet, it is said that I need to purchase a license for using walk and drive navigation.
But Nokia anounced that all navigation are free? Why should we still pay for it?By the way, I tried drive navigation, but the route is not a straight line fortunately, it's a normal route.
I recently downloaded some themes for my n97 mini from The OVI store. The themes are pretty good but I am facing a peculiar problem every time I download and install a theme. After sometime, whenever I unlock the screen, rather than The home screen popping up, The calling screen pops up i.e.. The screen which is displayed when I am on a call. The right and left selection keys show dialer and options respectively and the screen itself is blank instead of The home screen defaults and The widgets...I am facing this problem only with The downloaded themes and not the preinstalled nokia themes.Can someone please help me resolving this problem because its quite annoying?

I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

Maploader on phone doesn't recognise my wifi, even before. I tried to reinstall phone belle software, maps application are updated, tried different computers.. ANYWAY, I was using the GPS when it failed on me and decided to restore my phone. After doing that, I tried to install maps and now my phone tells me that there is not enough space on my phone. I says it needs well over 3000MBs of space. My memory card has at least that much on it. How do I get Maps to download onto my memory card?
What else could I do? I don't think my phone has enough memory with nothing installed on it to get all of the USA (but I had it all on my phone before I restored it, in addition to Mexico and Canada).

I have a 5800XM phone and I had apps from OVI that I downloaded. I restored it to factory defaults and updated firmware which were both successful. However, now I can't download apps from OVI that I have downloaded before the restoration to factory defaults. I can download other apps from OVI fine. Only the apps that I previously downloaded have the "Download" button disabled or grayed out.
View 5 Replies View RelatedBelow is a relisting of a current problem I have not managed to fix.I have the latest firmware installed on my N97, but after the latest upgrade (clean install was done, mass mem refromatted, hard reset, etc') On checking over the phone I started getting messages that the Mass mem' was full (Not so) I eventually traced it to my 8 gig mem' card, (is coming up with the message that the memory card is corrupt, I have now tried 3 different mem' cards) cos after this was removed the phone worked perfectly again, I tried reformatting the card via the pc , same problem when the card was put back in, tried a brand new card , same problem, lastly tried a known working 4 gig mem' card, same problem?

It says I need to be on wifi to download, however I am on wifi and I can access the web, email and every other function on my phone, except download maps on Nokia Drive as it doesn't recognize I am online on wifi however drive does work only it updates the map in realtime so I can't use the maps offline as it does not allow me to download offline maps. When I uninstall drive and then reinstall the app I can download from the maps for countries that do not have regions such as hong kong, however if I select US or China, a large country where you have to select the region the region/state page is blank. I have already tried soft and hard resetting to no avail and also tried different wifi networks with the results.

I would like the users of my application to use maps in offline mode.
So If I use Nokia Ovi Suit , it will take hours to download all the maps (approx 9 GB of data)..more importantly ovi suit refuses to download maps if my phone is not connected to the pc.
Is there a way I can download the maps as a zip file or something from my pc and then later install them on my phone? If yes..where can I find the downlaod links? I am using an E7-00 with Symbain Anna update (round icons..cool!!)

I live in a small town in Denmark that is extremely popular with foreign tourists, and a good few of our bars, restaurants and cafes have either changed ownership/name or closed. None of the new places are on City Lens, whereas most of the old ones still are (several closed more than 18 months ago).
Just because I want to, I'd like to be able to download the entire Ovi maps database - every detail of every corner of the Earth, not just all the cities/countries available in Nokia Software Updater, which I've already gotten. I figure that if all the roadways of every country in the world only occupy about 7-8GB on my 32GB drive, adding the terrain of the remaining unpaved/uninhabited regions of the world shouldn't add that much more.Or, at least less than I have available room on my drive.
