Feb 24, 2010I'm having trouble connecting fully my N900 to my laptop using the PC Suite software again.I got my phone earlier this month and i managed to connect the phone to the laptop then with no problem, however, yesterday, i reinstalled my windows xp like i do every few months and installed the nokia pc suite to my laptopn and now i am unable to transfer any media files i.e. music, films and such to my phone.i dont get this at all as the pc suite connects to the phone fine as it shows my calendar too and the image of my phone but everytime i transfer some files through Transfers videos section it doesnt recognise any phone. I usually add those media files through My Computer>Device with Removable Storage as an icon of the phone appears there but thats not even there anymore. I also notice on the bottom of main screen of the pc suite this message:Welcome to PC Suite Unfortunately your device is not fully supported by Nokia PC Suite.I dont know what that means and how to resolved it. I have followed every help/how to guide and FAQ i could find with no luck. I did everything correctly when i connected the phone to the laptop and i have installed and reinstalled the pc suite but again no luck.when i hoover over the phone icon on thre system tray of my laptop i noticed that: N900 (Storage Mode) connected in a non-compatible USB mode. is this the problem?

Jun 18, 2010I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

Apr 6, 2010How can I make my nokia E71 sync back with PC Suite after I started using OVI Suite? I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

Aug 16, 2010I got this phone 3 months ago, and it paired with PC Suite perfectly, till few days ago, when i lost connection with it, and now PC Suite and OVI Suite can't find my phone. I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.

Apr 15, 2010Have a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

Nokia :: E72 Memory Card Not Supported
Feb 28, 2010I have an E72-2, when i bought it, the phone was without a memory card so i purchased a blank one. Lately i am having repeatedly a message on the screen saying "remove memory card and press ok". I called nokia care and they told me to format the memory card which i did but still having the same problem. I tried backing up, formatting and then restoring many times : still the same. so i emptied every thing from the card : removed installed apps and music files and pictures and used the phone for a couple of days , everything was ok. Now i put back the music files on the card (through usb connection) and re-assigned ringing tones, the problem appears again and the phone is not reading the card (it's there but it's like blank) like it's rejecting it.
My question is : is the problem in the memory card (corrupted, defected) or in the phone? if it's the card I don't want it to damage the phone, should i buy a new one to resolve the problem? At nokia care they told me that just formatting the card will make it as new, is that correct?

Jul 13, 2010I've recently got my E72 and added a bunch of songs on the memory card under Digital Sounds and refreshed the music library, they were all found but some of them have a little key icon next to them and won't play and say that its because of Unknown Content Provider, any idea how i can solve this?

Mar 29, 2010I just got 7510 supernova. I know a lot of people think it doesn't support maps, but:
1. the hard-copy manual that came with the phone talks about a MAPS APP in the Organizer tool!!! HOWEVER, my phone doesn't have it!
2. Ovi Suite has a MAPS tab for my phone!
3. 7510 Supernova is an S40 device, and my other S40 phone, 7610 Supernova, had MAPS APP pre-installed.
I went on Ovi Store and tried downloading Maps App for my phone, but it's "not supported."I downloaded Ovi Maps 2.0 and a couple other map app files available, but when I tried installing each through Ovi Suite, the message was that SIS files are not supported by my phone. What gives? It is an S40, isn't it? If officially the maps app for some very strange reason is not supported, why mention it in the manual??? Is there any way I can still get it installed on my phone at my own risk?

I have downloaded (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis) from (http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-n82/) I also installed "OVI suite" and sent the file to my mobile, but when I send the file Error occures it Says: "nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis is not supported". How can I solve this problem and install OVi maps?

Jun 6, 2010I was trying to send 2 pictures(total size abt 2MB) as an email attachment using my IMAP mailbox and mail reached outbox, but it never sent out. Since this attempt my mailbox behaves wierdly and does not sync emails properly. So I removed the mailbox and I set it up again. Still there are few issues with sync but atleast emails are coming & going.
Also I tried again to send a very small size file as an attachment but in the compose email screen when I do attach the file, nothing happens and it automatically comes out of the mailbox. The email is saved in drafts folder with no attachment . can someone confirm if attachments are support by E72 email client ?I am on 031.023 FW and I have set up email using 'Other' option in the Set Email wizard.

Jun 23, 2010I have recently received a new Nokia N900 and have updated the PC Suite software to V7.1.50.2. When I plug my phone into the PC and try to synchronise the new phone to my PC. (I run Windsow 7 and trying to sync Outlook 2007 Calendar and Contacts). I keep getting the message "The connected device is not supported by PC Sync". I feel like I've stepped back intot he dark ages... And I can not download music or pictures to the phone either. i have not been abvle to do a single thing on this phone and just about ready to give up! I have been talking almost daily to the Nokia Tech Support department who say they are going to refer the problem to more senior development people - and are now challenging me that I don't know what I'm talking about - and call me back during the day when I am not at home!

When we contacted Virgin, I was told that Virgin 'do not support this feature'! I am awaiting a call from the technical people.
