I continue to be unable to access App World on my ATT 9700. I get the TCP receive time out message or simply the loading bar. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my bold 9700 keeps on displaying memory manager and shows applications I can delete, but won't actually let me delete anything as it's basicall frozen with clock icon ticking away.Strange thing is if I reboot device, and look at available memory it shows 30mb available, but as I watch it ticks its way down to nothing.What could be eating at memory when I'm not doing anything.Device has become basically useless.After this started, I did install new release of OS that was available when connected to my PC hoping that would solve issue.APP world does not display all my installed apps when I go there??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems accessing anything that has been download using Blackberry apps, such as facebook , blackberry apps world, this is only a recent problem after having my phone for a year, I have tried taking the battery out whilst the phone is switched on. When the phone reboots a message comes up as follows " Uncaught exception index 4>=4" I can get onto the internet as I am still receiving e-mails. Also this tends to resolve itself if I am away from my address.

Basically I can't get to the home screen, I have a password on my phone, soon as I try to unlock it the phone locks up.
I've done a battery pull and removing the SD card and the SIM but no joy.
But if I use the phone to make calls its fine.
Its really weird to say the least.
It could be the password causing it, is there anyway for me to disable the password outside of the phone itself? Such as using desktop manager? Or should I just bite the bullet and update the firmware?

* WiFi: What settings do I have to change so that my blackberry does transmit all data via WiFi and not GPRS or 3G? I do not have a data plan and don't want one

* eMail: The set-up assistant only allows me to connect to a Blackberry server. I want to connect to my private IMAP server. How can I do that?
* GPS: No app was found on the phone. No Blackberry Maps, nothing. Where can I get the Blackberry Maps?

After updating my phone to android 2.1,I'm unable to access my gmail and other apps thru. wifi. I have the wifi symbol at the top which clearly shows that the wifi is connected,but when I try to access gmail,android market and other apps.,it gives me message stating "no network connection".
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently missing photo and music, not really missing them, If I open ES File Explorer and open .sdcard/DCIM/Camera all my photo are there. They just don't show up in Gallery. I can open them from ES File Explorer fine. Same with Music, I can open /sdcard/Music and all my music is there but when I open the Music App, it reports"You don't have any music in your library." I can open any song from the file explorer.Also I can no longer see any files in storage when I connect my Xoom via USB to my Win7 pc, the internal storage shows up but is empty.

A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?

And another thing, i can use Facebook on Browser, but i can't Facebook using Facebook Apps. Oh yeah, i also have BIS. And my carrier said that's nothing wrong with my data plan.

When I go to the Login Screen @ My World in Apps I cant enter my Blackberry ID, I noticed the small padalock on the top right of the screen is now locked, its been like this for 4 days now.
I changed both my email and password, but neither my new details or old detais work, everything was done by cut and past so I have made no errors,Im totrally locked out opf this area in Blackberry.
When I'm tring to run my BB App World it brings a prompt which says "BBID update needed. Do you want to instal now?" Then I click yes. Result: "BBID installation failed. Try again later."I have already created a BBID but still I can't access it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and am with Virgin Media and everything was working perfectly until yesterday when I was asked to download the latest version of the Blackberry App World. This I did and then rebooted my phone as directed. I then went to the Blackberry App World icon, on my phone, to download an App, but the icon had disappeared. I looked in the Downloads file and everywhere else on the phone but it was nowhere.I checked the Applications file in Advanced Options and Blackberry App World version 2.1215 was there.I checked the Service Book and Blackberry App World was there and active. I tried redownloading but got the message that the App World was already installed. I reinstalled but still no difference. I went to the App World via the Blackberry Browser, on my phone, and tried to download an App but got the message 'item you selected cannot be displayed do you wish to save' I selected no and got the message 'unsupported med type: application x-bb-appworld'. I have now tried various combinations of downloading, deleting in Applications, rebooting but nothing works. I have access to all my Apps and all are working.
