I am on my 2nd Bold 9650 in the last month. I exchanged the first as about 2-3 times a week the mic would stop working. I would only find out upon making a call and no one could here me speak back. I tried the hands free mic and attaching a headset. All did not work. I pulled the battery and it would work. My Sprint store exchanged me last week...it is happening again. I have backed up and wiped the phone and started fresh..

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy one year old phone was sitting on my table half charged on stand by mode. Half an hour later I tried to check something but phone won't turn on anymore. No red light or anything.. Tried plugging the phone to a wall charger with and without battery for extensive amounts of time. Tried hardware button combos for resetting the phone but nothing works.. Phone just does not power on. Checked the google results and I've seen lots of posts about simmilar issues but without a solution. What's going on, did $600 I payed got wasted? Is there any solution to this, is it hardware or software issue? I wanted to post here on official forums.

(or 3G & 2G)the little BB symbol just disappears, internet, BBM & email will not work.As soon as I put my phone in to 2G mode everything starts to work.I'm on Three UK network witch is 3G by default.is this a common problem with the 9700? or does my phone need looking at?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure whether this is a 9700 problem or a problem with Orange (UK) but it seems that every time I restart my BlackBerry, be it a battery pull or a restart from removing an app, my phone loses the ability to connect to UMA ("ISP or wireless network error"). The first time this happened I rang Orange and got them to reset my service and this seemed to do the trick since shortly after my UMA connected again.After installing and then removing App World and restarting my BlackBerry, it's gone again. Obviously I can't ring Orange support at all hours of the day and every time this happens.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm totally stumped on this one..My Bold is running OS 5.0.0.351 (The latest version on Orange)I've tried numerous battery pulls, resetting the router, wiped my handset, re-sent service books, all the usual stuff.The wifi icon is white and NOT greyed out. All other wifi features are working except UMA.
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.

IN the last 2 months i will go to call someone and the phone is silent(No ringing or voice from the other person). So i started pushing keys on my phone to see if i could hear that and i have come to notice that if i hit "#" all of the sudden it starts ringing or the persons voice is there on the other end. They can hear me the whole time but I cannot hear them. When it starts doing this silent thing I am able to hit the # key for about the 1st 2 phone calls then it does not work what so ever. The other person can hear me but I can hear nothing. I then have to take my battery out and restart my phone and it will work for a few hours or maybe a day but then does the same thing again.

Everything was fine at first but recently i would say within the past month i've been dropping calls and having problems with the data services. I'll be streaming slacker radio and all of a sudden it stops and i have to reboot to get it working again. The dropped calls thing is pretty much random. Im running 5.0.0.405.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean the whole surfing while talking thing is nice but if this keeps up im going to have to just bite the bullet pay the early term fee and switch back!
I have a Bold 9000 on the AT&T network running v5.0.0.464. I'm having a problem with the Mute button (on top). I use the button to put the device into sleep/hibernation/whatever. I have had this problem with three devices (all 9000's) and have had each replaced because I was told that it was a hardware error by the AT&T rep. However, I have done some testing on additional devices (corp. environment) and have been able to reproduce the issue, or more accurately stated, I have been able to observe the issue occurring on each device in my test group over time.Basically, when the device is new, the button works very snappy. Over time, looks like 2-3 months, the button begins to show intermittent issues and takes longer and longer being held down to activate the function (starting or sleeping). Eventually, this function has quit working on every device I've tested (out of the box devices with no apps beyond the delivered ones installed). Removing the battery repeatedly and on a regular schedule of once a week has not had an impact on the issue during testing or in Prod. Being new to supporting these devices I looked around and did some searching but haven't found a solution that has worked for our situation.

Sometimes worked but 90% of the time nothing.Spoke to provider and they sent another brand new phone. Same story. I did try other application associated with button still no responses.Really do not use that button a lot.Any one else having this problem? Any solutions? Not sure it worth the aggravation of return.

I went to my setup wizard and for some reason it will not let me add my user name or password. I tried adding the complete email address and just the user name. No go. When I receive a call or go to make a call it won't let me, it just picks up and hangs right up. I have never had a problem with Bluetooth before. Does anyone else have this issue from Sprint .699 upgrading to .732? I don't know if I should wipe and reinstall or just go back to .699, which I didn't have any problem with anyway? Thoughts?

I took the phone with me to Israel and got a sim card and blackberry service through a carrier here called cellcom. Everything appears to be working fine except for SMS.When I text some people they never get the text and I get no bounce back informing me of an error. On the other hand some people I can text fine. I think the problem has something to do with the country code and the leading 0 infront of all numbers here. All the numbers are stored in my phone as such.. 052-796-0124. The country code is +972 but does not need to be dialed. I can call these numbers no problem from my address book, but when I text there is no problem. When I recieve a text from people who I myself cannot text, I can reply no problem to their inital text. I cannot start a conversation however. I have tried playing with those smart dialing settings. I changed the country to Israel and have tried leaving it as a USA number and saying the numbers are 9 digits and to not dial the 1. Neither option works.Any ideas here?

My e-mails, BBM, Internet nothing seems to work but I am able to use text messaging and make voice calls like any other phone. I have tried every and all methods to make it work, I have replaced my Sim-card twice and even reinstalled and updated my phone software three times. Vodafone(India) is my current service provider and they have all services active on my number but my phone doesn't seem to receive any. My sim card is working fine with other phones but no sim card works in mine.

I have a seidio extended battery for my phone and had the seidio doc which is horrible and I recommend to no one. It's built cheap and can break very easy. The metal charging prongs on the seidio doc just broke so I switched over to my normal blackberry bold doc.The problem is when I charge my phone I get a ton of different things that happen. I have my phone set up to enter bedtime mode and turn my profile to silent during certain hours when the phone is plugged in to charge. During these times the phone will always enter bedtime mode but three different things happen:
1. Phone dims and displays a clock
2. Screen light stays on and keyboard is illuminated
3. Phone goes dark - All lights turn off
I just want the phone to go dark and charge and put my profile to silent during the times I have set up. I like the phone dimming but it's still a little too bright for me at night. Can anyone help or suggest what I can do?

Pulled the battery while phone was on, and off. Nothing is working! It is the account I receive time sensitive work on. It is a Bold 9650 and all my other email accounts (even from Go Daddy) are working fine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAll audio on my Bold 9650 has suddenly stopped functioning - no ring tones, alerts, speakerphone, music or voice recordings can be heard. The phone is not muted and the volume is turned up. Hard reset and soft reset have not fixed it. Software was upgraded to 5.0.0.1006 after problem started and did not resolve it. Device self test performed and verified that no audio functions were working. Also, there's an icon that I don't remember seeing before showing below my EDGE indicator. It is a white circle with a cross through it, like the sight symbol when you are focusing a gun or camera. I can't find the icon on any icon list to indicate what it means.

Once I transfer language from eng to other language with the keyboard shortcut (alt+enter ) the auto text stops working. Furthermore, the option box just disappears from the menu (options - text and languages ) !. Reset by battery removal fixes the problem.But, onces you repeat the above action the auto text complete disappears again...Some bug is there.... tried it with all 5 devices of my office.I contacted my provider- they were not aware of the problem and I demonstrated it to them. They dont know how to solve it...
