Jun 12, 2012Out of the blue my phone is not connetcting to my office wifi. It keeps showing that the network is out of range even when my ipod and all of my colleagues are able to get a clear and strong connection. I had updated my phone to ICS a few days back. Could it be because of this?

Feb 1, 2016I wasn't getting any traction on this when I posted it on the sticky bug defect page so I figured I would try a new thread.
I have had my 950 for about a month and a half and I really like it except for the issue I am having with WiFi. When it connects it gives me message that there is No Internet Access. And if I try something like web browsing I get an error because the phone is trying to use the WiFi connection instead of the Cell connection. This happens in multiple locations. I have this issue about 90% of the time and rebooting the phone fixes the issue about half the time.

Nov 3, 2015I just received my Nexus 6p last night. It connected and ran just fine on my home network. I get to school this morning and I can not connect to the school wifi which uses 802.1x MSCHAPv2 authentication. My Computer and my friend's Note 4 next to me can connect with out issue.
I just tried to connect to our guest Wifi with the same problem. Instead of using MSCHAPv2 Auth, the guest WiFi uses a captive portal. I still can not obtain an IP address from either. It looks like it might be an incompatibility with the access point itself? This is really weird as 1 / 2 of the networks I have tried to connect to succeeded and one was a Asus router (my home). The access points I am having trouble with are Aerohive from what I read on them. I do not know what the controller specs are.

Mar 13, 2012This weekend I updated my iPhone 4 (AT&T) and iPad 2 (Verizon 3G, wifi) to 5.1. Since the update (went flawlessly), I have been unable to connect to wifi networks anywhere. All that I get is the continuously running circle that shows it is trying to connect (but never actually does). I have RESET all Network connections numerous times, did the 'Forget this' connection on everything, etc. They will no longer connect to places that I have always connected to (Home network, CLE Airport, Hilton, Work, etc...). I can connect to all networks fine with my laptop and blackberry, but I just get the constant connection circle with my iPhone and iPad 2. I have tried:
1. Reboot (Soft)
2. Reboot (Hard (Home and Power button)
3. Forget WiFi connection
4. Reset Network Connections
5. Tried 6 different Wireless (wifi) networks that I have always been able to connect to with no luck.
6. Airplane Mode with wifi on...
7. Turned 3G off...

May 16, 2012Lost wifi connectivity on 3GS after 5.1.1 OS upgrade. Have tried every remedy, short of wiping my whole phone (have done reboot, backup and restore, reset network settings, reset all settings, etc.). Apple says my "hardware must be broken." Hard to believe, with 350,000 hits with same problem on Google search, just in these few days since upgrade was released. I do not want to wipe my phone and start over (for obvious reasons), nor do I unnecessarily want to purchase a new phone (for even more obvious reasons).

My issue is Wifi connects initially but after playing sometime with the XBox games.. the WIFI automatically disconnects giving no reasons but the phone is not hung. Then i have to reboot the phone to get the wifi back...again after 15 mins it disconnects...and this process continues.

Aug 27, 2014Yesterday morning, a little after 7:15a, my iPhone 5 stopped receiving internet information. The connection had ceased. There was still a strong LTE and Wifi signal, but no connectivity. I turned off and on the calling/LTE and wifi setting, as well as powered down the phone, but still no connectivity. Phone appears to be getting the signal, but will not connect. Call and text messages work, but no internet connection and zero apps working.

Aug 23, 2010I am writing to express my disappointment with the Nokia product I purchased recently.
I bought an E66 handset from Carrefour in Shanghai last month, thinking that it would have full features.
With the Nokia site for China not having any information available in English, I used the Nokia site from Oman (where I am currently living) to research the specifications.
It was not until I returned to Oman that I realized that the E66 sold in China and the E66 sold elsewhere was not actually the same phone.
The phone that I bought is missing key features that persuaded me to buy it in the first place. It is missing:
Front camera.
3G capabilities.
WiFi connectivity.
Lifetime navigation with OviMaps.
Plus a range of other features that I was looking for.
This is marketed as a business phone, yet is missing the features I need to properly conduct business.
I do not understand why a global brand such as Nokia would ensure that the E66 model would have the same features universally.
I am thoroughly upset and disappointed at Nokia; having been a Nokia user for more than 12 years I have been let down by the brand that I have remained loyal to. Essentially, I was misled into buying a very bad phone.
Is there any way that you can explain the reasons behind the difference in the Chinese and Global E66 and/or equip me with an E66 that has the features I am looking for?

Feb 11, 2013Several times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.

Aug 2, 2011I believe that there is a problem with the Atrix network stack. When operating at home (Lapdock or HD dock or stand-alone) I prefer to use the local WiFi connection (because the cellular signal is useless for data here on the _9th_floor_ (thanks T-Mobile UK).
However:
1/ On its own the Atrix does not properly switch to _use_ WiFi- it tries to use either WiFi or GPRS/3G/HSPA from time to time. This does not work well (read the reviews that say that the Lapdock is slow and I think that this is the problem being reported);
2/ I installed Juicedefender which is free and which switches OFF the GPRS/3G/HSPA radio when WiFi is being used:
BUT - then I notice that the WiFi data stream stops after about 90s and only re-starts after either several minutes have elapsed _or_ I switch off and on again the WiFi radio. VERY POOR. Worse, on checking with my router, the ATRIX remains _connected_ to the WiFi network at all times - so this is the internal software losing contact with the active network interface.

I go Settings>Wifi>Wifi on and all it says is "turning on wifi.." and that is all it says. tried everything including factory reset and system updating using my computer. How can I fix this problem myself? Or will I need to send it to Sony to get fixed, or will Sony exchange my phone for me since it was nothing I did, and a problem with the phone.
The phone was no where near water before, or at anytime in at least the past 2 weeks and was not dropped. was sitting on my desk for an hour or so and when i pickd it up wifi had disconnected itself and wouldnt come back on.

If i try to turn bluetooth on, the phone wuld just keep on restarting untill the system closes down the process "com.process.bluetooth". I repaired the phone using Sony Bridge, the phone doesn't restart now, but it still heats up and I can't use Wifi and Bluetooth.Â
