i am now living in singapore and i need to tell you that i cannot connect to the wifi network although my uncle's nokia n96 can or even my psp. i am using my home wireless network. and sometimes when the wifi is connected the Internet page does not open. but my internet page opens.

Can I not connect using my WiFi only as I don't want to be charged extra for internet usage and also on a side note is there a way to totally disconnect mobile internet from my phone. I've had a few nasty surprises in the past and just to add to that, if I want to connect to the Internet. How do I force the phone to connect via WiFi and not via a mobile internet thats going to cost me?
I just bought W995. Unfortunately it has no WiFi feature on its connectivity settings. Supposedly W995 have WiFi.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the W995i, but when ever it vibrates, it’s sounds so cheap and poor and sometimes the two parts of the phone (which slide) vibrate against each other. Trying it with other handsets, the result is a much nicer sound and feeling. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like tinny and horrible. Does anyone else have this problem? It was second hand off ebay.

But then it displayed the "No access to network." message and I couldn't make or receive any calls. I tried to restart the phone, to take off the battery, to reset the settings, to set a network manually etc etc but still nothing.
And while it is searching for a network, it is draining the battery too. It was fully charged this morning, and now it's only 25%. Normally, it should take 3-4 days to reach that power level. I should mention now that I'm in roaming in Munich, Germany since three weeks, and my phone bills are payed on time, so it shouldn't be an mobile operator problem.
After updating my phone(w995) software...i m having network problem...i have taken it to service center but no use...wht should i do now?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI will try explain my problem and what i`ve done as clear as possible.I bought w995 on orange from ebay and i thought that unlockingdebranding will be a piece of cake.I was wrong, So, after frrustrating news that A2 phones can be unlocked only by a paid service i ordered one myself. Finally i got it unlocked, but still on Orange firmware. Shoved my o2 sim in it and everything was working fine. Next step that i took - debranding. Got A2uploader,FS+main+custom pack from c905 and started to flash it. After flash was successful I turned it on and was kinda amazed - "no network coverage" was written on my screen. Tried different SIMs- same problem.So, now i`m stucked with this pointless brick aka phone.
Some info about recent solutions given:
-It`s not in flight mode.
-Master reset didn`t help.
-Tried various FS+main+custom packs
-Tried D-ultimate unlocker (Direct Unlock(+Sec. zone rebuild))

Can i flash it or something? because Sony Ericsson won't let me update it.If I can flash it, can someone tell me how, and provide me with all the softwares needed please?
Does anyone know if Sony Ericsson have any plans to fix software on Satio phones I was looking forward to getting one when my contract expired but looks like the big networks have pulled them off shelves, not so keen now, but I would still like one.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi live in aus and i have SE T715. im with 3. on prepaid. when i woke up today it said where the "3" symbol is meant to be "Inactive SIM". called 3 and they said your account isnt barred or anything and everything seems fine on our end. so i turned the phone off and turned it back on and wala it was back to normal again! the sim is only 1 month old! it hasnt said "inactive sim" since! weird.another thing is i couldnt make phone calls a couple of hours afterwards. the signal bar was on full but the "G" symbol in the top left hand corner disappeared and wasnt replaced with anything. so i turned my phone off and turned it back on and guess what? back to normal. it only did it that one time and same with the usim message only once. hasnt played up since! it just seems turning the phone off and turning it back on fixes it.there are three things that can be causing this 1:the sim card 2:the phone or 3: the network. what do you guys think.

I have a Sony Ericsson W595 This afternoon I went to make a call and found I couldn't get into my contacts list - I'd press select and nothing would happen. The phone would not be frozen, however. Then, on my "recent calls" list all my contacts' names had been replaced with an "e" with an acute accent. Later, I lost signal so took the battery out and replaced it, which didn't help. My message counter and phone theme were reset but the time and date were not. I removed and replaced the SIM card, which also had no effect. I then put my SIM card in a Motorola Pebl and got full signal and could receive texts again, so I assume it is a phone fault, not a SIM problem.

The problem I have is when the phone locks me into GPRS, it becomes a virtual paper weight. It works great if I can get it to lock onto Edge by walking around enough.
