My Maxx does not reconnect to 3 or 4G after using WIFI. When I toggle off wifi the 4G bars are white and I get a no connectivity message when trying to get e-mail. Then I restart the phone and all is good.
View 6 RepliesSeveral times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust picked up my RAZR. Only issue so far is the WiFi. The phone will connect to my home network but any attempt to use the browser gives a connection error. Same issue with any application that requires a data connection. My laptop connects with no issue and my Droid X connects with no problem.
View 15 Replies View RelatedSince installing a new Netgear 7550 modem/router from AT&T, I have been having trouble with the WiFi on my Verizon Razr. I can connect to the network and browse just fine for a while, but eventually the WiFi indicator changes from blue to grey and no apps will load data. This includes not being able to load webpages. I also notice that once the icon goes grey, only the upward pointing triangle within the WiFi indicator comes on. Of course restarting the phone or rebooting the router restores the connection for a time, but eventually it drops again. Once the icon turns grey I get the following from the settings menu:
Status
Connected
Signal strength
Excellent
Link speed
72Mbps
Secruity
WPA/WPA2 PSK
IP address
192.168.1.xxx (the last three numbers never seem to change)
So I got my RAZR about a week ago and it's great with the exception of WIFI. I can get it connected to my WIFI networks both at home and at work, but once they're connected, there's no data at all. I have tried disabling cellular data both manually and with a Smart Action once it's connected to WIFI and that doesn't help. I know it's not the network settings, as it's happening on multiple networks. The network at work is open, the one at home is normally WPA2-PSK but I tried changing the router to an open network and that didn't change anything either. My wife got a RAZR too and her phone has EXACTLY the same problem. Any ideas? I would *really* prefer to use WIFI data at home and at work instead of eating up my 4G/3G plan.

Sometimes my 4g works flawlessly then the very next day I can have 4g bars but my connection will be really crappy. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these spotty 4g problems.. I also have times were I have all my bars and the 4g is blue but I cant connect at all until I reset the device.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having lots of problems in getting my Toshiba Satellite C655 laptop to connect to my Motorola Verizon Droid Razr using Verizon's Hot Spot.It appears to see the Verizon Hot Spot and statse connected but says limited connectivity and keeps disconnecting and refreshing and reconnecting stateing either " Limited Connectivity or No Internet" Also when it did the one time make a connection it would not go to any web pages even tho it stated connected with internet connectivity.

It appears that I can connect correctly to the Bluetooth Audio Services, but as I cannot get any music onto my phone I am having a hard time testing it.On Bluetooth installation I had two devices that were not installed correctly. Through trial and error I discovered that these two devices are related to the Generic Access Service and the Generic Attributes Service, both of which I have disabled on my Win7 Bluetooth phone properties.
I HAVE installed Motorola Device Manager with no success resolving. In fact, I cannot see where MDM is even accessible on my system: no system tray icon, no start menu link, etc.I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if my image upload will work correctly, but in essence the phone Operation Panel in Win7 shows the FTP Service as active but clicking the Browse button does nothing. I do get a prompt on my phone initially asking for permision for my computer to access the phone, but then nothing.
My friend has the aforementioned router. I can connect but get no data transfer. My tablet and my friends phones HTC incredible and og droid work just fine. We've done all the general troubleshooting and installed all updates still same problem a full connection but no data. I should note that my wifi works flawlessly in all other locations work home parents other friends etc.

Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have not been able to get a data connection all day. i lost my data connection near my house this morning right on the border of 4g/3g area. i drove to work about 25 miles away where there is 3g only and still have not been able to establish a data connection. i have rebooted the phone, pulled the battery, rebooted in safe mode, switched to cdma only, switched on an off airplane mode countless times and still have no data connection. i do have a 3g icon with almost 4 bars in the status bar, but no connection. browser not connecting, no facebook, no Internet...nothing.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola RAZR international GSM version (XT910). It is an unlocked phone without any contract or carrier branding.
I seem to have issues whenever i try using my phone as a WiFi Hotspot. When the Hotspot is turned on the data connection drops. I have tried this while using the device as a hotspot for my iPad and/or my laptop. I'm able to browse normally when i'm directly browsing on the phone. But the moment i begin to use the phone as a WiFi Hotspot i see the data connection immediately getting terminated. Even the data toggle widget i have on my home screen gets toggled off automatically. It comes back up once the device i tether from stops trying to access the hotspot.
This is not a carrier limitation. I tried using the same SIM Card on 2 other unlocked phones (Xperia X10i and Galaxy S2) and they both tether just fine. I also contacted my carrier and had the network and APN settings reset while using the RAZR. That didn't seem to solve the issue either. I have tried every solution that i know of. I have even reset the phone to factory settings a couple of times. But nothing seems to work. There are no Smart Actions setup that conflict with the data connection. I'm totally clueless about what is causing this issue.
It is really frustrating to know that i am able to tether even on a two year old Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i that's running Android 2.3.3 but not on the brand new RAZR for which i had to pay around $700.

I have tried at least 4 different apps and was hoping the ICS upgrade would do it, but no love. What is up with this major failure?
With all the digital media in my life, I have automated a lot of processes to organize and make things consistent, so when I find something that makes the job harder, I really loathe it.
For some reason, my phone just did a factory reset. I wasn't using it, just had it in my pocket with headset plugged in. Pulled out the headset from the jack and was going to make a call. When the screen turned on there was the Android icon with what looked like a green "electron cloud" type symbol animated in its open "belly". After a few minutes with that on the display, tried to shut the phone off, it wouldn't power down so I did the volume down and power button. When it came back, the phone was cleared asking me to select a language.
View 1 Replies View Relatedalmost since day one, i have not really had the pleasure of enjoying what 4g signal is really like. i'm in chicago, and when ever i'm either downloading music or streaming video (netflix, Internet) or downloading anything that requires data, the phone completely loses the 4g connection and takes at times up to 5 minutes for the signal to come back. if i keep the phone on 3g only it does not happen, but that defeats the whole purpose of having a 4g device. the "data saver" in settings is off.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI suppose I never paid too much attention to this Data Usage app in settings and it's accuracy. My bill resets on the 9th of each month meaning i run from (BOD) 9th-8th (EOD) of each month. I have the app set to begin on the 9th of course, but it continues to display 8th-8th of each month. Is this just the way it is or am I missing something? Shouldn't the tally show date begin to date end? This configuration effectively adds one extra day to the count. It's a small inconvenience I suppose due to my unlimited plan and that I can wait an extra day to move the slider over by one day, but I'd like to keep a rough record so that I know approx data used just in case one day I have to tone it down to a shared data plan.

I go the battery app in the phone menu and it says wifi is on all day everyday but if you toggle wifi its already off and I've tried everything from rebooting to mashing buttons like an idiot. This seems to be unrelated to ics it just randomly started doing it this past few days like since last Thursday.
