Samsung :: Sch-r810 - CDMA System Controller- Access After BRICK
May 17, 2010
finesse, sch-r810 that will respond at all. i lost web and wap after flashing, called metropcs after a few weeks, and lost voice service moments after that. service could not be found, thought i'd just flash again. a problem occurred that left my phone with no filesystem (i assume), and now i dont think anything is seeing my phone (com ports inactive). ive tried the well knowns that google would offer, bitpim, qpst, qdxm, p2k, multiloader and others, as well as plenty of non-samsung software that i thought/hoped might work (unipst, optiflash, others). just this evening i downloaded sdk tools and weird 'unlock sim' 'secret zone' softwares, nothing.
i actually recorded the processes, both computer and phone screens (desktop capture+webcam). planned an upload to Internet, but would like a solution/tip to accompany the problem. thats why the cdma request, or any software that can access qualcomm chipsets, or similar/usable characteristic. my model seems replaced to have been by newer samsung phones, though if the internals are similar, i'd like to express that to others.
administrators: i did post this just a minute ago in the metropcs forum first, by mistake. ive got a thousand tabs open and didnt notice until after the 'submit', if youre going to remove one, do that one please. its not in a general place and i didnt quickly see how to delete. thanks.
I am attempting to install a language to my SGS2 but before doing that must ascertain if my ROM is "deodexed" so need to locate a system file called framework. How do I find and access the system folder? navigated the phone via PC but wasn't able to find where the system directory is located.
I stupidly thought that the ICS upgrade would get this bluetooth controller to work with the Onlive app on my SGSII. Whilst it pairs and does control the phone, it seems to be random movements as all sorts of random mayhem begins as soon as you press any of the buttons. I'm going to investigate this a little more but has anyone else tried this? I have an HDMI output and the idea of my little phone being a portable games console capable of playing games ike Arkham City is too much for the technophile in me, especially as I travel a lot.
I got Bitpim to recognize the serial and modem ports for Samsung as available but, when I try to goto file system with the serial port, it shows the folder icon as open but it doesn't do anything. I tried to use "Other CDMA Phone" for detection. If I try the Modem port, it says "Retrieving." like it's attempting to open it but, soon, it stops and is in the same spot as the serial port.
I have an SCH-U440, also known as Gloss, from US Cellular. I have done some digging online, but CDMA codes seem hard to come by. Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Of course, I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is not, is there some alternative?
Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.
My laptop is Vista. It recognizes the Samsung as a modem but the CDMA workshop wont read neither does any program it seems it doesn't recognize it as a phone. I am trying to flash it to metro what do I need?
I 'm running with Koodo Mobile(samsung m540) and my phone just die, i've a 3 years contract , My question is, Can i buy an unlocked phone and just transfere my contract or something like that. I know with sim card you just slide card for cell to cell and that its. But is there a way With cdma PHone ?
I've read this little hack apparently saves a lot of battery life (and it is abysmal right now), but I haven't read anything about what exactly this does. What are the pros (other than battery life) and cons of this change? Does it affect reception/signal strength? Any info is appreciated.
My problem is that I forgot my unlock pattern. My Xperia Z3 is running Android Lolipop/5.0. I've been looking at every nook and cranny in the internet, but every method stated on these pages/sites didn't work for me (hardware buttons)
I tried to update to 5.1.1. On Windows 7 notebook. Update got stuck, says I have to do a restore. Will the restore delete all music, photos etc? If so, is there a way to unload some photos before I restore?
My E63 has broken, when I try to access messages or my call log I get a system error, I have reset my phone but the problem is still there any ideas what to do?
I have a Droid2 and want to access the DVR monitoring system at work, the application needs to have ActiveX active within the Google browser. Has anyone found the same situation and/or an update for the Google browser ?
I upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.
On my Galaxy S4, I had 360 security and I loved it. This app kept my phone running just the way I liked, and it also remove all the garbage apps I will never use. When I upgraded to the S6, one of the first apps that I downloaded was 360, however, whenever I attempt to delete the unwanted apps, the message I get is:
"This function cannot be used at the moment. 360 Security has not been granted root access."
Just got an i760 for my wife. Will be porting her verizon number to page plus in the very near future, however, i would like to first get the phone updated and working good before we activate it. Got a few questions, I know there is an update for windows 6.1 but both of our pc's are running windows 7 and it appears that there is no update for that system. Is this true? is there a workaround? Also, how well will I be able to get this new phone to synch with my wife's computer? It would be great if she can have her calender and contacts synch up everytime she plugs the phone in. Also, are there any other software options that anyone can recommend? I've seen some stuff that makes the screen look like an iphone, ect. Just wondering if there was a unanimous list of must have software add ons. Sorry if these questions have obvious answers, kind of a newbie here. If someone has some patience with an explanation,
Does anyone have info on how to unlock the filesystem on the Helio Drift so I can edit the cwCONFIGURATION.ini file? I tried using the default Samsung 16-digit code using CDMA Workshop. It says 'phone unlocked', but Bitpim or QPST wont allow a write of that file. Bitpim can't be used anyway, because the file is in the /mmda subdirectory and only QPST lets you set the default directory when reading the efs. Is there another EFS reading software I can use? Is there a specific 16-digit code for this model? I need to change the wap port, and that file is where it is stored. p.s. Samsung PST is no help, either. The Ocean I have had success with (it has a 16-digit code of it's own), but the Drift has been elusive for a LONG time now.)
I got into the filesys of my R560 today using unicdma just to find out the brew system no longer supports jad and jar files! I've been toying with the idea of putting JRE from suns website on the phone to run blooover2. anyone try this yet? I hate BREW! it would make it so easy to install java on my phone- then it would be super fly!
I have been playing the same game of BrickBreaker for 2 months and would like to see how far I can go (so far 2,000,000 points and 462 lives). I know that if I download a new version of the OS (as I was recently prompted to do) and reboot the phone I will lose the game. Is there some way to save it so I don't lose the score when I download and reboot?
I don't know what went wrong with the adb update, but now I can't do anything. I can just enter in recovery mode and download mode.
The phone goes in bootloop (It can just load the first booting screen where there is the Samsung s6 logo) and when I try to do the manual update from external sd or adb etc... It says that is disabled. The device was rooted before the 5.1.1 android update.
Nexus on bootloop tried every method ,most of them . Flashing new factory image is also of no good. Cleared cache , factory reset and still on bootloop. On flashing lollipop factory image it gets stuck on boot loop and on flashing KitKat factory image or using any custom ROM like cyanogenmod it gets through boot but is unable to detect sim and apps like play store and camera keep crashing and refuses to open.
I downloaded CF-autoroot and followed these steps and now it is stuck on bootloop. I downloaded Odin 3.10.6 and right cf-auroroot version as well. URL..."When done, you should see “RESET!” on ODIN program and your S6/S6 Edge will reboot to show something like below. This is where CF-Auto Root roots your S6/S6 Edge."It never boots into recovery and it's immposible to manually boot to it as well. It just auto-reboot and stuck on "samsung powered by android."
I'm trying to download stock ROM from sammobile but its gonna take 4 hours ...
I've solved it with Samsung Kies firmware initialization but still no root ... Again tried and now it's rooted ...
US Apple Employee took my Japan iPhone, tried to unlock my iPhone by installing an app called "unlockit.co.nz", put my AT&T sim card in, read FAILED, and said it didn't work. He reassured me that my Japan iPhone will still work when I go back there, but I have no reassurance now. Did they mess up my iPhone and not taking responsiblity for it? Do Apple employees typically install sketchy 3rd party unlock apps that change APNs?
I went into the Apple Store today with both my US iPhone 4 (16 GB Black) and my Japan iPhone 4 (16 GB Black). My US iPhone was having issues with its bluetooth and home button is sticking a lot. He couldn't replace it since it was out of warranty and suggested that I find a 3rd party repair shop or look on Craigslist.
My Japan iPhone 4 is still under warranty and suffers from one spot on the screen being exceptionally bright. He said he could replace my Japan iPhone with a US AT&T iPhone. I told him, I'm not sure if that would be smart since my Japanese Softbank SIM card may not work anymore in an AT&T iPhone. He explained to me how unlocking works and said he can easily set it up for me. He took my Japanese iPhone, went to some site, installed a program, did a few things, and took my AT&T SIM Card out and put it into my " newly unlocked" Japan iPhone. The phone kept saying SIM Failed and he restarted it, and it still didn't work. He put my AT&T SIM card back into my US iPhone and thankfully, it still read my SIM Card.
He offered to exchange my Japan iPhone for a US iPhone 4, and suggested that I call AT&T to have them unlock my phone for me. He said they would do it, if I was out of contract with AT&T, but I wasn't, so I went home back at status quo, or so I thought.
I looked at my Japan iPhone again, and noticed that there was an app called, "unlockit.co.nz". It opens up Safari and pulls up something called APN Changer. Upon closer inspection, it's the same app/site the Apple Tech pulled up when I was at the store. I'm a bit leary about odd apps, especially apps that originated from the domain co.nz. I googled the site and looked it up, and it seems a bit odd.
Now, I don't know what this program exactly does, but I'm a bit annoyed that I don't know what app the Apple Employee installed and what it exactly did. I have no assurance that my Japan iPhone will work in Japan now after he installed this app and did something. Is it the Apple policy to go and install 3rd party apps? Will my Japan iPhone still be good when I go back or am I going to land in Japan and spend the first few hours at an Apple store trying to get my phone replaced/fixed?
Is the Motoactv capable of switching tracking modes in the same workout? If I go for a ride followed immediately by a run, do i have to stop, End Workout, then start a new run workout or is there a way to tell the device I have switched activities?
