I have an SCH-U440, also known as Gloss, from US Cellular. I have done some digging online, but CDMA codes seem hard to come by. Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Of course, I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is not, is there some alternative?
Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.
Browsing yesterday I came across this app called SGS Secret Codes which lists many (if not all) of the secret codes and dials them for you without you having to remember or search for them online. I have found it to be most useful so far. Just thought I'd post this for others
I got Bitpim to recognize the serial and modem ports for Samsung as available but, when I try to goto file system with the serial port, it shows the folder icon as open but it doesn't do anything. I tried to use "Other CDMA Phone" for detection. If I try the Modem port, it says "Retrieving." like it's attempting to open it but, soon, it stops and is in the same spot as the serial port.
My laptop is Vista. It recognizes the Samsung as a modem but the CDMA workshop wont read neither does any program it seems it doesn't recognize it as a phone. I am trying to flash it to metro what do I need?
i have a samsung blast that i had with tmobile but now my mom is using it and she cant send or recieve pictures. i know i have to change to browser and or mms settings but dont know the codes to open up their menus.
I've been having problems finding the admin codes for my Corby Plus (B3410R). I've tried a few, one being *#6984125*#, but each time it produces a message that says "Not allowed". The purpose is to install java apps, so I need to update the Java DB, as I've found. I've tried simply using the .jar and .jad files, and making a link to them in a .html file, and both times I wasn't able to open them, giving a message saying the file type wasn't supported. Does anyone know if there is a new admin code that brings you to the menu the first code I mentioned for this phone, or do I need to flash the phone because of some crazy lock my carrier slapped on the phone?
I 'm running with Koodo Mobile(samsung m540) and my phone just die, i've a 3 years contract , My question is, Can i buy an unlocked phone and just transfere my contract or something like that. I know with sim card you just slide card for cell to cell and that its. But is there a way With cdma PHone ?
I've read this little hack apparently saves a lot of battery life (and it is abysmal right now), but I haven't read anything about what exactly this does. What are the pros (other than battery life) and cons of this change? Does it affect reception/signal strength? Any info is appreciated.
finesse, sch-r810 that will respond at all. i lost web and wap after flashing, called metropcs after a few weeks, and lost voice service moments after that. service could not be found, thought i'd just flash again. a problem occurred that left my phone with no filesystem (i assume), and now i dont think anything is seeing my phone (com ports inactive). ive tried the well knowns that google would offer, bitpim, qpst, qdxm, p2k, multiloader and others, as well as plenty of non-samsung software that i thought/hoped might work (unipst, optiflash, others). just this evening i downloaded sdk tools and weird 'unlock sim' 'secret zone' softwares, nothing.
i actually recorded the processes, both computer and phone screens (desktop capture+webcam). planned an upload to Internet, but would like a solution/tip to accompany the problem. thats why the cdma request, or any software that can access qualcomm chipsets, or similar/usable characteristic. my model seems replaced to have been by newer samsung phones, though if the internals are similar, i'd like to express that to others.
administrators: i did post this just a minute ago in the metropcs forum first, by mistake. ive got a thousand tabs open and didnt notice until after the 'submit', if youre going to remove one, do that one please. its not in a general place and i didnt quickly see how to delete. thanks.
Are the phones sold with product codes that are given to certain carriers and resellers? Or are phones with different product codes physically different in some way?And what is with the E72-1, E72-2, E72-3 nomenclature? Is that region specific?
why there is no QR code reader option in the camera software? Just like one would choose the night mode or macro mode, one would just choose "QR Code" mode and scan a code...
I have a 9530 storm and have two JVM codes and i dont know what they mean.....if anyone can help i would really appreciate it!! the code reads- a system-JVM:INFO....I need to know what it means so i can possibly fix the problem. Also my phone doesnt read my memory card, any thoughts, its not the card because it works in other phones.
I have got the Blackberry Torch that I wanted to unblocked lastly. Unfortunately the phone operator or service provider (Bouygues Telecom) was unable to unblock it because the ten trials allowed to unblock have been exceeded by my kid brother who was trying to use it with a Virgin Mobile SIM when I was hospitalized. My phone operator Bouygues told me there is nothing they can do. How can I unblock it then.
This might not be a Blackberry-specific issue, but I am posting here because I am using a Bold 9900 and it is happening to me. It actually happened on my Storm as well. My phone is unlocked and I am currently outside my home country. Whenever I call out, I can simply call with the number without adding the calling code, but when I am texting, I have to add the calling code as if I were in my home country before the text gets sent. Also, when I choose a contact in my phonebook, I do not have the calling code saved in the numbers, but for some weird reason, it adds it. Is this normal? Is there a way for me to turn it off?
[edit] A side note. I add the calling code as another field in the phone book. I add it as a home number so I can just text with that field instead of typing the entire number with the calling code. For some weird reason when I am getting an incoming call, the name is shown along with the number with the calling code.
I set my passcode lastnight, then it went out of battery. After charging it, i tried to start it this morning, but i failed to start it with the code i put in. How can i get it start again?
My Sprint/Metro PCS HTC Diamond's touch screen all of a sudden stopped responding. If it had a keyboard like the PRO would've been no problem but NO KEYBOARD.Even though I did a PIM backup and had my old PRO handy and now connected I really want to see if I can get it back to life!!I opened it yesterday (thinking maybe it got loose and I could "just" connect it right) and could not get all the way to the screen so I decided to leave it alone, for now..Googled and all I got was GMS videos and stuff so I was wondering that maybe someone here has done it and could help me get to the screen and replace it...
I have a Verizon 8560 which had the internal screen go out. However, it says its only for GSM and not CDMA... that seems odd to me. Are there any overriding differences between the GSM and CDMA versions, or is this guy full of it?
anyone know when will the asian product codes get the FW update?hopefully the bugs are ironed out specially the space bar and the BT connectivity problems, keeps bugging me out!
