My laptop is Vista. It recognizes the Samsung as a modem but the CDMA workshop wont read neither does any program it seems it doesn't recognize it as a phone. I am trying to flash it to metro what do I need?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got Bitpim to recognize the serial and modem ports for Samsung as available but,when I try to goto file system with the serial port, it shows the folder icon as open but it doesn't do anything. I tried to use "Other CDMA Phone" for detection. If I try the Modem port, it says "Retrieving." like it's attempting to open it but, soon, it stops and is in the same spot as the serial port.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an SCH-U440, also known as Gloss, from US Cellular. I have done some digging online, but CDMA codes seem hard to come by. Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Of course, I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is not, is there some alternative?
Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.

View 3 Replies View Relatedfinesse, sch-r810 that will respond at all. i lost web and wap after flashing, called metropcs after a few weeks, and lost voice service moments after that. service could not be found, thought i'd just flash again. a problem occurred that left my phone with no filesystem (i assume), and now i dont think anything is seeing my phone (com ports inactive). ive tried the well knowns that google would offer, bitpim, qpst, qdxm, p2k, multiloader and others, as well as plenty of non-samsung software that i thought/hoped might work (unipst, optiflash, others). just this evening i downloaded sdk tools and weird 'unlock sim' 'secret zone' softwares, nothing.
i actually recorded the processes, both computer and phone screens (desktop capture+webcam). planned an upload to Internet, but would like a solution/tip to accompany the problem. thats why the cdma request, or any software that can access qualcomm chipsets, or similar/usable characteristic. my model seems replaced to have been by newer samsung phones, though if the internals are similar, i'd like to express that to others.

My BB10 device is not recognizing any microSIM. I was working on a new project where I need an active SIM to talk. But my BB10 device is not at all detecting ny SIM. I have tried three microSIMs that are activated and are working perfectly fine on my iPhone handset. But not working on my BB10 device.

I have tried all options, the device manager does not 'see' my BB.I have tried troubleshooting advice - turned on 'enable mass storage', still does not work, also tried different USB ports (my computer does recognise the BB in my drives) and temporarily switched of anti-vrus and firewall, to no avail.
I have cleaned the ports of any foreign debris I have read the posts on turning on and off Airplane mode +++++I have reset the phone and used three different cables from lab top and from wall.It was charging intermittently but refuses to charge now ?

after googling possible solutions i followed Apple's support pages. I have restarted the phone, restarted iTunes multiple times in different orders. I removed all apple components from my XP PC nogo ? restarted the PC. re-installed iTunes. still nothing. im considering throwing my phone through the nearest Apple store window.

re-installed a number of times to no avail. Once connected through USB, Kies loads up but just hangs on "connecting" but still responds.
I have installed Nokia OVI Suite version 2.2.0.245 and attempted to sync my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but I'm having various problems getting the OVI Suite to recognize my device. For the most part, when the program will come up with a message saying "Please change the USB mode on your device to OVI Suite (or PC Suite) USB Mode". Now, I'm already in PC Suite mode but I still disconnect the USB cable and connect it again, selecting the PC Suite mode again on my device. This does not change anything as I still get the same error message. When I don't get this error message, and I try to sync my messages (for example), the application crashes. I'm running windows Vista SP2, and my Nokia 5800 has the latest firmware installed V 31.2.101 (installed today July 7th, 2010) I don't know if this is a known issue and anybody knows how to fix it. if not, I hope the folks at Nokia take note and consider this issue.

It works fine until there was a sudden error while I was transferring the musics. After that, my PC wont recognize my device anymore. So i search for the solution in the net and I found the way.
Here it is:
"In some devices, if having copied a large number of files (> 4000 files) in Media Transfer USB mode to the device, the PC connection may not succeed any more. If this happens, try deleting files with File Mgr. Application to decrease the number of files below 4000."
A couple of weeks ago I bought an Unlocked Samsung U900 Soul from ebay and it worked perfectly with my T-mobile service here. Then yesterday I decided that I wanted to put java games on it. So I found this video online: [URL]and followed all of the directions. The games didn't work but my phone was still working. Later that night I turned off the phone, took out the sim card, and put the sim card in my other phone which I keep on all night. Then I woke up this morning, put the sim card in the U900 and turned it on. But the screen now keeps saying "Please insert SIM card" and the screen is also showing that I have service bars. This might mean that it is still unlocked. I am guessing that the procedures in the video had to do something with the phone now not recognizing the sim card.
