Samsung :: A650 - Flashing Phones - Cdma Modem Device
I'm apparently going to be doing a fair bit of flashing samsung phones, so I wanted to ask about a few things I've encountered when dealing with a few of them. *A 'diagnostic serial port' appears with some phones and not others; is there a reason for this? I notice sometimes it appears, but Samsung PST then goes for the 'Samsung CDMA Modem' device. *With one phone, an SCH-A650, I managed to connect to it once, and then never again. I think I tried using the DM variety for 'Korean' phones in CDMA Workshop. *(A non-samsung-specific question) Is there any comprehensive reference online for QXDM? It seems to be the most flexible piece of software out there for this task, but I can find hardly anything on how to use it. I'm familiar with the UNIX CLI so the concept of using the command line is not completely foreign to me, but it's a little difficult to learn a bunch of new ones for a very specialized purpose.

Nokia :: E63 Not Connecting To PC / Not Recognizing The Device
I just got this E63 a few days ago, and have been very happy with it. I wanted to put some music on it and maybe import the few photos I've taken to my PC, so I bought a new USB to do this with. It's third party but right out of the box, so I doubt it's faulty. I got the error popup of not recognizing the device, and I searched around here before posting to figure out the problem. I downloaded PC Suite, and it doesn't find it either. I also downloaded the software updater for my phone, and it can't locate the device any better. The phone itself doesn't say it's connected to anything, and there's no popup. I've gone to connections and selected PC Suite, as well as Mass Storage, and nothing.Any idea how to fix this?

BB Tour 9630 :: Device Manager Not Recognizing
I got a new tour last night and I have some questions, I've searched for the info, but I am having trouble. When I plug my phone into desktop manager, it isn't recognized, so I cant transfer contacts. But when I plug in my old curve. It is recognized. Any ideas? My phone was also made in Mexico5. I've heard things saying those have been the tours on sprint. Should I take it back and try to get a new one. I'm a little worried about the build of mine, and would rather be safe then sorry.

Nokia 5800 :: OVI Suite 2.2.0.245 Error Recognizing Device
I have installed Nokia OVI Suite version 2.2.0.245 and attempted to sync my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but I'm having various problems getting the OVI Suite to recognize my device. For the most part, when the program will come up with a message saying "Please change the USB mode on your device to OVI Suite (or PC Suite) USB Mode". Now, I'm already in PC Suite mode but I still disconnect the USB cable and connect it again, selecting the PC Suite mode again on my device. This does not change anything as I still get the same error message. When I don't get this error message, and I try to sync my messages (for example), the application crashes. I'm running windows Vista SP2, and my Nokia 5800 has the latest firmware installed V 31.2.101 (installed today July 7th, 2010) I don't know if this is a known issue and anybody knows how to fix it. if not, I hope the folks at Nokia take note and consider this issue.

Asha 30/40 Series :: Media Transfer - PC Not Recognizing Device
I have a problem about my device, it can't be recognize by my PC. I was using media transfer for transferring musics from my computer to my mobile. It works fine until there was a sudden error while I was transferring the musics. After that, my PC wont recognize my device anymore. So i search for the solution in the net and I found the way. Here it is: "In some devices, if having copied a large number of files (> 4000 files) in Media Transfer USB mode to the device, the PC connection may not succeed any more. If this happens, try deleting files with File Mgr. Application to decrease the number of files below 4000."

BB Desktop Software :: Device Manager 4.6 Recognizing Bluetooth
I got DM 4.6 to recognize my BB Curve 8330 and the BB to recognize computer. Amost there...except when I open DM and the bottom for PIN says none I click to open the bluetooth option to which a box show up "Devicemy pin #) Would you like the Blackberry Desktop Manager to connect to the Blackberry device using wireless technolgy" I select 'yes' and it pauses then puts the same box up again. This cycle goes on after every yes. New to the bluetooth with BB but think i have most settings properly but obviously something is awry. I am using the DM on Vista 64 bit Ultimate and the DM is 4.6. All syncing appears to be fine with USB and like I said before...the DM does see the device and the device can pair with the computer.

Samsung :: I760 / WiFi Vs CDMA
Just got my new i760. Question: I've got an unlimited data plan through Verizon. And I've got 802.11 WiFi at home. If the i760 is connected to WiFi and I open IE to start surfing the web, which connection will it use? I would like to think that it will always default to the WiFi connection if one is available, but I can't find anything that tells me if that is true or not. And I don't see any settings that let me tell the phone which one to prefer.Actually, this question becomes even more important if I ever decide to drop the Verizon unlimited data plan and go to the "Pay per MB" plan. If I do that, then I will want to have a way to MAKE SURE that it uses the WiFi connection and doesn't try to use the EVDO connection. Does anybody know of a setting that will prevent the i760 from connecting the web browser via EVDO, whether or not a WiFi connection is available? Basically a way to tell IE (or Opera, or whatever) to never use EVDO?

Samsung :: Multiflash For Cdma Phones
Does anyone know if its possible to perform a multiple flash operation for several Samsung CDMA phones at the same time? I was wondering if there was a way to run several instances of the SamsungPST and plug in multiple phones, but in my experience the programs will either all connect to the same phone or to none of them. And yeah, it totally ignores the Com Port selection you choose.
