Aug 7, 2011Browsing yesterday I came across this app called SGS Secret Codes which lists many (if not all) of the secret codes and dials them for you without you having to remember or search for them online. I have found it to be most useful so far. Just thought I'd post this for others

Aug 5, 2015I Download a wrong Root for my device, after choosing a wrong file, I am back to a stock Original ROM its succeeded, then I tried to use Secret codes and surprised that it all does not work, then i download the correct root ma, but the problem it's still , all the codes are not working and the device does not respond, such as that in the code like *#0011#. I tries all secret codes.

May 22, 2010I have an SCH-U440, also known as Gloss, from US Cellular. I have done some digging online, but CDMA codes seem hard to come by. Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Of course, I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is not, is there some alternative?
Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.

Aug 19, 2010I've been having problems finding the admin codes for my Corby Plus (B3410R). I've tried a few, one being *#6984125*#, but each time it produces a message that says "Not allowed". The purpose is to install java apps, so I need to update the Java DB, as I've found. I've tried simply using the .jar and .jad files, and making a link to them in a .html file, and both times I wasn't able to open them, giving a message saying the file type wasn't supported. Does anyone know if there is a new admin code that brings you to the menu the first code I mentioned for this phone, or do I need to flash the phone because of some crazy lock my carrier slapped on the phone?

Nokia E55 :: Compass Not Working - Post Codes Not Recognized?
Apr 1, 2010I have the latest maps on my Nokia E55, v3.03 10wk01 b05 MW, map v. 0.1.23.112, but the compass is not working. I know it should have a green circle but the circle is alwasys white. Does it work automatically as I cannot find reference to it in the application. Also, the manual says you can input post codes for locations, but they are not recognised. Again, I can find no reference in the application.

Dec 14, 2015This started a few weeks ago, after an update which I guess was a security update IDK. Anyway when I click on a meeting in my calendar that has a conference number plus the meeting ID the phone prompts me asking if I want to send the extra tones when I click yes I get a very small burst of static and 1 tone. I am on the road a lot and I having this break means I need to pull over to dial in meeting IDs.

Aug 9, 2010Hi I just picked up the Galaxy S Vibrant last friday and can not seem to get the swype function to work. I looked into the setting and see that the keypad sweep is on however do not see the swype function on the qwert key pad. Am I missing something here? Do I need to install swype keypads?

May 31, 2012I have PhoneShare on my Series 9 laptop and installed the app on my SGS2. Fantastic tool! then I upgraded to ice cream sandwich and now I can't connect either by scanningthe QR or using the previous successful connection.The PC version generates the barcode, the phone reads it successfully and reads "preparing phoneshare", I get a connection PC reads "connecting to smartphone" then "retrieving data from address book" appears on PC app, finally "poneshare ready" on the PC. The connection is not established though and the icons on the PC remained greyed out. The message on the phone app remains "preparing phoneshare" and after 10-20 minutes hangs.I have reinstalled the PC and phone apps to no avail. Is anyone else getting this? Is it a known/unrecognised bug on ICS?

Nov 16, 2012i have a problem with my Samsung galaxy S2 nowadays with following detail: i can't use any application via wifi but can use all by packet data. FYI, my connection to wifi is fully correct and is in coverage area and normally signal strength is excellent, it mean i don't have any problem to connect to wifi in all places same as home, office or any other places. but i'm wonder that why i can't use any, yes any application even simple factory pre-installed applications same as google search when wifi is active but if i turn off my wifi and using packet data, all, yes all of applications working properly. FYI, my all applications worked properly before this problem raised (i'm not sure but seems my problme appeared when i backed from china trip which i changed my SIM card in china with a Chinese SIM card) so, i believe there is some mistake in setting which maybe occurred

Feb 25, 2012So my music player in my s2 LTE is constantly having problems. At random, it will do any one of the following; pause, mute, go full volume and skip songs. This can happen while in my pocket, it can happen when the phone is stationary and not being touched. Motion controls are off. I've downloaded several other music apps and they all do the same thing. I've tried using other headphones. Sometimes it won't happen for a very long time and its no big deal, but sometimes it just constantly pauses or skips songs and makes it more of a hassle than it is worth to listen to music on my phone. It's been happening pretty much since I got the phone in mid December.

Feb 20, 2012my phone won't vibrate on notifications or calls anymore and it's killing me. settings > sound > vibration is set to 'always'. i didn't drop the phone or anything, so i don't know what it could be. the vibrating phone icon is visible on the top bar too.i'm using go sms pro and have that set to vibrate always, and even if i run the test notification, it says that vibrate is on, but it doesn't actually vibrate.

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. Don�t know if this had anything to do with it or not or whether its just a coincidence.I would like my sound notification back on my SMS.

Dec 8, 2011Has anyone else had a problem where the battery notification icon says 100% even when the actual power is much much lower? I noticed this the other day after watching my Slingbox for over an hour, which should drop the battery way down, and it still said 100%. The "My Device" battery page also said 100%. I did a restart, and it instantly went to 47% and then continued to function normally. It's done this several times, and seems to get stuck only at 100%. Also, when in this mode, it won't charge. Nov 19, 2011Had my SII for 3 days now and am loving it but as of 2 hours ago my screen will no longer auto-rotate.
Earlier, via orange swapables, I was watching skysports with the screen held horizontally with no problems at all. Even after that I was sending a message using swype (what a cool feature by the way), holding it horizontally.
Since then I've not been able to rotate the screen. It is set to on via the notifications panel and under the settings menu.
I've put a new Case Mate Tough Case on as of this morning but was watching the football after I had put the case on. I have since tried removing the case to see if it works without, but with no luck.
I've checked the firmware and stuff and am running all the latest versions.
I've done the keypad *#0*# and checked the sensor test page, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor and magnetic sensor are showing different figures as I move the phone around but the image test does not rotate.
Under settings > display I've ran the calibration tests and they all ran fine.

I have "Ringtones" and "Notification" folders on the root of my SD card. I go into each contact and scroll down to the ringtone and select it,but then when someone phones me it still plays the default ringtone instead.
