I am attempting to install a language to my SGS2 but before doing that must ascertain if my ROM is "deodexed" so need to locate a system file called framework. How do I find and access the system folder? navigated the phone via PC but wasn't able to find where the system directory is located.
View 2 RepliesGalaxy SII will not find pictures in the DCIM/Camera folder on the SD card after I have had the phone hooked up to USB. It will find all the other pictures on the phone. They are still on the phone just cannot be seen by any of the programs on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis morning I remember still being able to access my media folder through the Media folder, but now, I can't find the music icon anywhere, and when I mean everywhere, I mean like every folder on my phone. I'm still trying to get a hang of my software upgrade [6.0 Bundle 2342]. I can still search "music" and the music icon magically comes up on search and I can play my music, but I can't seem to find the icon anywhere else besides that...What should I do?
View 1 Replies View Relatedfinesse, sch-r810 that will respond at all. i lost web and wap after flashing, called metropcs after a few weeks, and lost voice service moments after that. service could not be found, thought i'd just flash again. a problem occurred that left my phone with no filesystem (i assume), and now i dont think anything is seeing my phone (com ports inactive). ive tried the well knowns that google would offer, bitpim, qpst, qdxm, p2k, multiloader and others, as well as plenty of non-samsung software that i thought/hoped might work (unipst, optiflash, others). just this evening i downloaded sdk tools and weird 'unlock sim' 'secret zone' softwares, nothing.
i actually recorded the processes, both computer and phone screens (desktop capture+webcam). planned an upload to Internet, but would like a solution/tip to accompany the problem. thats why the cdma request, or any software that can access qualcomm chipsets, or similar/usable characteristic. my model seems replaced to have been by newer samsung phones, though if the internals are similar, i'd like to express that to others.
administrators: i did post this just a minute ago in the metropcs forum first, by mistake. ive got a thousand tabs open and didnt notice until after the 'submit', if youre going to remove one, do that one please. its not in a general place and i didnt quickly see how to delete. thanks.
In Settings>Sound: the possibility to view the ringtones and notifications options has disappeared. Vibrations sounds can be viewed correctly with the button selection and preview option, however, in Ringtones and Notifications a file list is viewed which is /storage/emulated/0/ . The only other file list possible to view is /storage/extSdCard. No button/preview sound view available. Not possible to navigate from Ringtones and Notifications to the root system files where the default audio files are located: device/system/media/audio
The selected sounds for Ringtones and Notifications are correct and located in the default audio folders but can not be viewed. ¿?

I transferred a folder from PC to S6. I can't find the data on the phone though i get a message saying the "new folder" is there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my Galaxy S4, I had 360 security and I loved it. This app kept my phone running just the way I liked, and it also remove all the garbage apps I will never use. When I upgraded to the S6, one of the first apps that I downloaded was 360, however, whenever I attempt to delete the unwanted apps, the message I get is:
"This function cannot be used at the moment. 360 Security has not been granted root access."
Every time I create and rename a new folder, it comes back to the default name "Folder", after a system reboot.Any suggestions to fix this issue ? I think it is related to MotoBlur, since I did not find anything related on other phones that don't use MotoBlur.

While adjusting my settings in Knox I switched to folder view, which has completely changed the knox environment. The main thing I now find is I can no longer toggle in and out of the knox container using the notifications area that you swipe down from the top of the screen, unless there is a specific notification, ie a new email.
The option within the Knox settings that I used to switch to folder view is no longer visible - the settings seem to have changed ( and more to the point, I can't remember the exact option) so I can't switch back.
Is there any easy fix to either add a toggle into the notifications area to enter/leave the knox container, or preferably to switch back from the folder view organisational structure to the standard environment that I assume is there by default?
I got a brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 a week ago. Well I have that little problem with it that whenever I download a pic from for example Google or Hangouts I don't have the -Downloads- folder in my gallery. They do not show up anywhere except if I go to "My files - internal memory - downloads" but nowhere in the gallery. In the gallery I chose the option to show every pic which is saved to the device but they don't show up only camera photos, screenshots. Nothing else.

I got one problem already, which I didn't really expect. It finds more less all wifi's, at least the once I know of. I still use my iPhone 4, so the iPhone connects without any problems, but my S2 LTE can't even find it.
On my Android Eeepad tablet I can change the DNS by long-pressing the router id in WI-FI settings, then select the DNS1 field and insert a new DNS.But the hard-press routine doesn't work with my Galaxy SII. I can't find a way to get at the DNS setting. The only option that pops up is Forget Network.I want to set up my unrooted SII with a DNS from unotelly.com so that I can use their system to let me access Netflix USA from Canada. Although I can achieve access while at home merely by changing the DNS setting in my router, I'm not always on my home network and would like the SII to be able to access the unotelly DNS when I'm elsewhere.

Now I'm having trouble syncing the GSII with Outlook on my PC as I want.fter the last sync, I find that the contacts on the PC have all duplicated (2 of everything), and the contacts on the phone have all been removed.When I first set up Kies there were options to determine how priorities on new/changed contact records on phone and PC should be resolved. Now I can't find any settings for that. It's just the one 'sync' setting.

Unfortunately, it is locked to the O2 network and I need it on the orange network.Learning via google, I have rooted the phone, and tried the 'Galaxy S2 sim unlock' application to find the unlock code but it came back with the following message 'cannot find unlock code' Just wondering is there something I have done wrong? View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a 32GB SD card to my Galaxy SII and moved most movable apps to it. However, now I need to copy some stuff from my PC to the 'internal' SD card and I can't connect to it.
I do the regular 'USB utilites -> Connect storage to PC' routine, but all I get on the PC is the external card.
How can I access the 'internal' SD card without physically removing the external one? BTW, I'm on official, non-rooted ICS 4.0.4.
suddenly my Samsung Galaxy S2 can't access the wireless network. It has worked before but now it seems to be hanging when searching for wi-fi units in the network. I can access Kies via usb-cable.

For some reason i cannot connect to the mobile internet when the connection is showing 3g. It will only connect when it is showing H or H+.
Also for some strange reason, the internet connection wont work at all if i havent used it for a few hours. To get back internet you have to go to flight mode and back or switch off and on to get back online.
regarding apps when they ask for permission to access your call, msg, etc on installion. I was wonder if it's safe to install such apps which want total control and also if there is a software to block them from access on your phone.

To resolve the matter I have to unplug the router and restart it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.
