My S2 is on 3 UK.
For some reason i cannot connect to the mobile internet when the connection is showing 3g. It will only connect when it is showing H or H+.
Also for some strange reason, the internet connection wont work at all if i havent used it for a few hours. To get back internet you have to go to flight mode and back or switch off and on to get back online.
I'm not sure if this is a problem with my SG2 or my SKY router but occasionally despite all my other WiFi items in the house all being able to access the internet, every now and then despite my SG2 showing a good strong WiFi signal I get no connection. To resolve the matter I have to unplug the router and restart it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI will be in a hotel room that has a ethernet cable but no wifi so I like to connect my phone to the cable to access the internet . I have a USB2 OTG cable and a USB to RJ45 ethernet cable but when I connect it all up and try the web browser, the phone just say that it requires a Wi Fi connection.
I tried rooting the phone but keep getting a fail in Odin.

I can access the internet through my WiFi at home (I have AT&T wireless) or at AT&T hotspots (Starbucks, Sam's Club, etc.). However, when I'm somewhere that has non-AT&T WiFi (Chick-Fil-A, Panera, etc.), I can connect -- with a strong signal -- but I'm unable to access the internet. I get a message about the server not responding.

The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
I have a problem concerning my W715's WiFi. I enable it, find my router, but when I try to access internet my phone says "connection failure. check settings etc." I have went through every little setting, but still - no WiFi internet for me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Samsung SGH-A256 phone to replace my old one that died. I got it cause the phone was cheap and I could just stick my SIM card in and be done with it. Anyway, I tried using the internet with it and it keeps saying "Error: Network Unavailable". I assume it's cause the phone uses the Edge network up here and I don't have access to it on my current plan (my old phone was a Sony Ericsson). So my question is: can I change the APN from internet.com to something and access the internet? Sorry, I'm a little foggy here but like I said, I'm new to all this. I've been trying to look around and find out what this APN business is but all the websites I find don't really explain it.

I have requested that they disable Internet access on my phone, which they claim to have done. But now they tell me they can't guarantee that the phone won't be able to access the Internet. My laptop and other devices that connect to the WIFI are getting on the internet just fine. This problem just started this morning. I re-booted my router at home but that did not work. I eliminated my home network and then re-connected to it, but that did not work.

I do the regular 'USB utilites -> Connect storage to PC' routine, but all I get on the PC is the external card.
