I'm not sure if this is a problem with my SG2 or my SKY router but occasionally despite all my other WiFi items in the house all being able to access the internet, every now and then despite my SG2 showing a good strong WiFi signal I get no connection. To resolve the matter I have to unplug the router and restart it.

However, when I'm somewhere that has non-AT&T WiFi (Chick-Fil-A, Panera, etc.), I can connect -- with a strong signal -- but I'm unable to access the internet. I get a message about the server not responding.

For some reason i cannot connect to the mobile internet when the connection is showing 3g. It will only connect when it is showing H or H+.
Also for some strange reason, the internet connection wont work at all if i havent used it for a few hours. To get back internet you have to go to flight mode and back or switch off and on to get back online.
I will be in a hotel room that has a ethernet cable but no wifi so I like to connect my phone to the cable to access the internet . I have a USB2 OTG cable and a USB to RJ45 ethernet cable but when I connect it all up and try the web browser, the phone just say that it requires a Wi Fi connection.
I tried rooting the phone but keep getting a fail in Odin.

Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust purchased a new unlocked S6. I already had a Samsung account so went through the set up process on the phone and successfully set up the Samsung account on the phone using my Samsung account details. Able to go into Apps, Settings, Accounts, Samsung account and can see my email. The Samsung account syncs without problem and I can download apps through the Galaxy Apps site.
Now the issue, using the phone whilst in the Samsung account I select Profile so I can check my profile details but when I enter my password and select confirm, the phone shows a green & blue wheel with the words "In Progress" then the screen momentarily goes blank and then the same blue wheel with the words "In Progress" reappears and stays on the screen and that is as far as it goes. The phone is trying to open the Profile page but just continues showing the blue wheel with the words "In Progress".
I can log into my account through the account.samsung.com web site and enter the Profile through the website and I can use Find my mobile to connect to the phone and ring the phone so the phone is linked to the account. I have done a factory reset on the phone and the same issue remains. I have even set up a different Samsung account and the new account also has the same issue. I have cleared the cache and data on the phones Samsung account and tried to get into the Profile with the same issue. I asked a work colleague with a S6 to also log into his Profile via the phone and he had the same problem so it appears to be an issue with the Samsung app.
I can no longer access my samsung account. I had previously disabled the app along with some other bloat. When I tried to access new themes I re-enabled the account app and corresponding apps as well. I can now no longer sync the account. Every time I go into Settings>Accounts, and select Samsung account it instantly opens and closes. I now can't sign in, or download themes. I cleared my cache already.

My external 8GB micro sd card shows I have 5.6GB available. However, my usb storage says I've used 12GB and have no free space. I guess the usb storage is the problem (unless there is something else) and I would like to know how I came to fill up the usb storage when I thought I was saving things to my external 8GB sd card.how to rectify the problem and also how to manage it in the future?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Samsung SGH-A256 phone to replace my old one that died. I got it cause the phone was cheap and I could just stick my SIM card in and be done with it. Anyway, I tried using the internet with it and it keeps saying "Error: Network Unavailable". I assume it's cause the phone uses the Edge network up here and I don't have access to it on my current plan (my old phone was a Sony Ericsson). So my question is: can I change the APN from internet.com to something and access the internet? Sorry, I'm a little foggy here but like I said, I'm new to all this. I've been trying to look around and find out what this APN business is but all the websites I find don't really explain it.

I have requested that they disable Internet access on my phone, which they claim to have done. But now they tell me they can't guarantee that the phone won't be able to access the Internet. Dumb, or what? Are there internal settings on the phone that will disable this function, but not prevent me from phoning or texting?

I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

View 4 Replies View Relatedi recently downloaded an app and today i deleted it, it then rebooted. when it restarted it came up on the screen " uncaught exception: application net_ rim_bb_ messaging_app(60) is not responding; process terminated " and give me the option to press ok but wont do anything . the screen has frozen and i have emails and messages and it wont let me into them. There is also a new envolope box in between the where you recieve your emails and messages and it has a yellow envolope at the bottom of that. i've tried taken out the battery and restarting it but it does the same thing. it will let me in to everything but the things i need internet for as well

I am able to use my enterprise mails, personal mails, BBM, and other applications available in my handset. It is just that Internet does not work.. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?

I have scoured the forums here and practically everywhere possible on the net with out any luck at finding an answer for almost a month. I am currently on Prepaid cards through Fido. I bought a BB Curve about a month ago because I was told it had built in WiFi.I have no problems connecting it to my home wireless network. Weather I have it secured or unsecured. I have no problems connecting to any open or secured wireless network. Where I do have a problem is when I go to places like Starbucks where it has a log-in Screen.Then I am unable to connect at all.I scan for networks, it finds the network. I select the network. It then says it's connected. Then I go to try and go onto the internet and it just gives me a blank white screen. As of right now I am finding that my BlackBerry is just a useless paperweight since mainly I got it to use at Starbucks since that is where I am a lot of the time.
I have tried going to bell.ca and seeing if I could access it that way (as I read somewhere to try this), still no luck. My question is, why would I be told that it has built in wifi if it only works on certain networks? Is it able to be used on networks that have a login screen or is it not able to? And is there something I am doing wrong? It is showing the bell hotspot name when it says connected. And I made sure I have it set as wifi mode. I have had other devices (Palm Pilot) that have had no problems connecting. What is the point of built in wifi if it won't work on ALL wifi networks?Ultimately what I want to know, is how to get my BlackBerry to bring up the login pages of these "hot spots"? Weather at Starbucks, Libraries, other coffee shops etc.?
